Hey all.....my question is.....what are the popular excursions which are filling up? Maybe, that is a good indicator of what we should be booking privately?

I think i posted before but we books at 75 days for the 6/6 cruise and we had problems (the dightlight savings thing) getting on at night . we were also moving that weekend and by the time we woke up our phone and DSL were disconnected. so my husband was able to get on at work around 9am central time. we were able to book all of our excursions, but the only palo was avalable when we wouldn't be on the ship. about 5 days later i decided to add on a spa treatment (the exotic rasul?) and had no problem doing that for our day at sardina.

the excursions we booked were (in order of how we booked too):
the highlights of rome and vatican
the almalfi coast drive and ruins of pompeii
the aix in provence
the evening casino

We knew we wouldn't be able to get any of the VIP trips as those didn't have many spaces to begin with, but we were very happy to get all of our first choices.

I am a bit disappointed that we don't have a palo dinner booked, but we'll try again on departure and if we don't get it this cruise wasn't about that anyway.

Oh no - no no - I didn't mean for that to come out that way - just embarrassed I didn't make the connection - I was away from the boards for a while and didn't even realize that this was the thread that was closed - your right - no problem on my end! I was acutally looking for the embarrassed smiley but couldn't find it late last night so I improvised - didn't quite come out that way! Your fine - cool with me - besidses - your our fountain of info! Can't offend you! I'd be out in left field if I did - LOL

Be back later - its DD-14 b-day today and I have a salon appt, make-up session and photo session planned along with boarding the dogs, picking up the cookie cake and an edible chocolate covered strawberries arrangement for her -

Gee - wish I was turning 14 again! NO WAIT! on 2nd thought - no I wouldn't! But I want a fruit arrangement on my b-day - Ill post pictures when I get it so you chocolate lovers can ask for one when you special day comes along! all!

Sorry - I jumped the gun - confused 2 statements with answers to mine - don't mine me - I'm like chicken with her head cut off today - DD's last day of school nt to mention her b-day and no time for anything - so what is mom doing? She's on the DIS!

What can I say - I have OMD too - wait was that this board? Gosh - can't keep them straight (some person on another board posted they had OMD - Obsessive Mouse DISorder!) She got tagged with that! oh well - later all!

Your not alone - I'm now worried myself. April 29 is DH's b-day - I got him to agree to go online at 12:01 PST to book our excursions - here's the bad part - we're in two cabins and we can only book tix the same amt as passengers in our cabins - now we both have to get online and hope we hit and get the same excursions - there has got to be a better way! I'm nervous now! Lets hope that we get what we want!

Hi Lisa - got your pm - forwarded it to my DD - thanks for writing - don't know what got into me and made me forget all about her! Lets hope they hit it off - we're not sure if DD will be going with us on EB - she wants too but she'll be missing 1st 2 weeks of her sophomore year - besides she was with us on the EB in '05 - she went already - but if I know her - she'll work on her dad who she's got wrapped around her finger!

I think the excursions will sell out but maybe, not too fast! I know Palo has ressies when you board, so we'll all be able to go there for sure!

Way to Go Andrew - (Just Kidding of course - see the smile) as if we weren't already enough! Now the added pressure of a full cruise! I'm definitely going to be and by the time booking comes along. Had to do something to lighten up! Hey I'll just sick my secret lucky charm on them - DH is the luckiest man alive - he usually doesn't go w/o getting what he wants - don't you all hate those kinda people? My luck runs the other way - if there's anyway to mess it up, miss it, tear it, ruin it, etc - I can find that way.

HOWEVER, I intend to think positive and will see how things go! Then if things go wrong - plan B will take effect. Time to see if my connections in Rome might come in handy!
