I will update this as people join in..we can play with 9 or 10.

Susy
Doug (my DH)
Catherine (my sister)
Leslie (my mother)
Wendy P DS (19)

Where should we play? Promenade lounge? Or it might be nice up on deck to play outside on a warm summer night if it's not too windy.

Helen,

Are you going to go to the casino and play? Roulette would be very easy for you - you just pick numbers or colors and hope you get lucky.

We love all casino games, but we have been to the casino in Monte Carlo before so we aren't going this trip. We want to be with the kids that night for the deck party.

Hope you win some euros!

Susy

Has anyone heard if MaryJo has managed to sort out her passport problem?

Hope she is ok

:grouphug:

I know from folks on this thread that you book for the wine tasting at guest services and that DH should book as soon as we board as it's quite popular. My question is is there just one group per day or are there different sessions on each 'day at sea' day ?

well I HAVE STARTED THE PACKING. I've managed to get the kids stuff sorted and half of DH stuff done. At least if I can get that done today I will feel as if I've accomplished something.

Thanks Susy,

We have never been to a casino before. I think I can handle roulette.
We played 21 with friends, (is that called craps?) Dave started laughing as he said he could see me mouthing the numbers as I was adding up my cards - whoops.

We often play 21 with both our kids.....it was a good way to teach them some mental maths. Unfortuately neither Paul or I play poker otherwise we'd have loved to join you .

Helen,

21 is called blackjack in our neck of the woods. Craps is the big table with the deep well, and you roll the dice trying to hit your point number before you hit a seven and "crap out". I would not suggest craps for a newcomer to the casino, but you would do fine at 21. I think thats funny that you count up with your lips, but it doesnt matter at all because you arent playing against the other players - you are playing against the "house" - the casino, and the rules are set in stone about when the dealer has to stand or hit.

You will have so much fun! Like James Bond night out.

If you don't play already, I suggest that you do not start - it's terribly addicting!

Just like ebay or tivo or having a crackberry - once you get started, it's impossible to stop.
