How did I get so low on the post count list again? :confused3

Okay, back to the previously scheduled fluffing so I can catch up!

Thanks to those of you who pushed it thru at Cafepress, I tried again and it seems that my order has gone thru. Fingers crossed.

I have my fish extender gifts but no fish extender yet - will see if I have time this week.

I made the address labels for the luggage tags for that the last day - that was a great tip that I got from the DIS and really saves you time. In case any of you aren't planning on it, you print up peel off address labels with your address, I made a last line that says number _____ of _____, then you stick them on the DCL tags that are required for disembarkation day. Otherwise you have to write out your address over and over. I just filled in bag 1 of 12, bag 2 of 12, etc.

I also printed thank you cards (I did this the last time also) with a picture of our family on the front and a nice thank you message inside. We used these for tips, we would hand write a message and put the tip in the card.

I have made no door signs, despite my very elaborate signs the last time, there just isn't time.

Good luck to all of you in your organizing and getting ready!

Off topic to Salliep or anyone else with a 12ish year old daughter: what kind of music does she like? I need to buy a bday present for a friend's daughter and her mom said to buy music CD's -- what kind of music do 12 yr old girls like????

Thanks!

Susy

Would love to come by but we will most likely be at the Mickey Pool.

We always dress the kids in their bathing suits and go straight to the pool. We are all done with our spa and palos and such so we are looking forward to relaxing by the pool. We have pretty busy days planned for our four days in Barcelona pre-cruise, so I think we will be ready to chill.

Sounds you are very organized, I have purchased the gift bags today reconfirmed hotels, private tours airport transfer, UK Airport parking etc.

No packing as yet.

My DD is nearly 12, but cannot help, she puts various pop records onto her MP3 player current singles, High school musical, to Abba!! Anything, she likes Robbie Williams, Take that etc but it varies so much.

Have to start packing soon only 7 days to we go, I will be landing at this time in Barcelona next Saturday.

Sounds like our plan, I know my kids will be in the pool by 2pm! then Scoops, Goofys, Plutos, pool, Mickey slide, Scoops, etc.

Just making sure I have everyone that wanted to come accounted for:

Private event "make a chocolate figure" at the chocolate museum in Barcelona

July 27
3pm

So far I have 12 of my group

Mary Jo - 2 adults, 2 kids
Lisa - 2 adults, 2 kids

We are confirmed with the museum for 20 people. :woohoo:

If I have lost my mind (quite possible) and you told me you wanted to come and you are not listed here, please PM me and I will fix it - thanks.

Good news checked on-line Pisa have corrected my tickets now, 6 walking and one at the heliport flying up. ( it says ab-sail down?-must be Italian for a lift or something?)

Hello, If your son is called Dash then I think he has been paired up in the gift bags with my son Zak:scared1: . Zak is very excited:yay: :yay: about the cruise and is looking forward in meeting Dash and hoping to make loads of new friends:grouphug: .

Here's a new one...

Does anybody else play texas hold em?

We are all poker lovers - was thinking about planning a poker game one night. Will bring chip set if I can find enough people to get a game together.

Any one else play poker?

Susy

Ian -

Yes, our sons have been matched up! Dash is very excited, it will be nice for them to meet since they will most likely be in club events together. Salliep and Carley were so smart to pair it up that way because it's like an instant friend in your same club group - at least someone whose name you know.

Pixie dust,

Susy

if they cancel the semi-formal nights, i will still wear my dresses. maybe cruise casual to me is a nice semi-formal dress.:rolleyes1

I like the way you think, Lynnise!

Congrats on the major pirate: Sandra!

WOW I'm completely gob smacked that people take things so far that they actually cancel a cruise. Also I'm shocked that folks actually go out of their way to be nasty to someone they've not even met. The thought of that really offends me and is way beyond my comprehension. I AM SO GLAD THAT NONE OF THAT GOES ON HERE. Being on this thread and 'meeting' all you people has actually made looking forward to this cruise really, really enjoyable.

THANK YOU TO ALL ON THIS THREAD

I can't comprehend this either.

I also want to say

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE HERE

I agree with Izzy, Andrew, Anna and all others who feel this way. I, like Julie said, went against my usual nature and made friends with a fantastic group of people. I really think that much of my excitement about this cruise involves meeting all of you.

Thank You All!!:grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi Kidcoos and MrsG

We are from NW England, between Liverpool and Manchester.
Still can't believe what a popular board this is.
I've seen one of the Navigators which triggered my question on the Tux's but wasn't certain if it was 'official' or not, it would certainly make packing easier if we could lose one suit.
Is it worth posting somewhere else on the board or will the answer find us anyway?

Hi and Welcome,

I spent 10 years living in Crewe so not too far away?

The formal night is the first sea night, the other nights are cruise casual apart form Villefrance when its semi formal.

My Dh is taking a suit to use for formal / semi formal. I tried but sadly there was no way he would wear a tux. (I'll have to look out for James bond when were are@ the Monte Carlo casino.

I'm with you and Dan on this one, I think we should wear them on the 1st day as we board and at the sail away party that way we'll be able to spot each other more easily

I think you should wear your t-shirts on the Saturday, then I'll be able to spot you.

Sadly I cant find a t shirt shop that will do a tshirt and I've run out of time for trying to get one done on line.

Never mind -I will wear the dis lime green - at least I have my lanyard (thanks jeanne)

My DS(19) loves to play poker. I'm sure he'd be up for a game.

Our cruise docs arrived!:yay:

I'm ordering t-shirts today.

Just sent you a PM about this Helen

I am just as shocked as the others to hear of that behavior on a DIS meet thread. That sounds awful!

My first reaction was...maybe we should cancel as we are booked for that cruise. Wouldn't want to be sailing with a less than nice group.

My second (horrible selfish) reaction was, I wonder if anyone who cancelled had a suite???

We have always had concierge but could only get category 4's for aug 2008 repo and are really hoping to upgrade.

Horrible! Terrible! Selfish! :guilty:

My kids can have a swim at Cassis in France it looks great.

Andrew, do you think the blackcurrant liquor (sp?) creme de cassis is made there?

For those who haven't tried it before, its a very sweet blackcurrant liquor, but its great when you add a small drop to a glass of cava or champagne (or cider). mmm:rolleyes1

Susy sadly Dave and I haven't a clue about poker, we wanted to learn but have never had the opportunity / time.

At Christmas my mam bought me a plastic roulette wheel / casino set so we could read up and practice before we went to monte Carlo. :rolleyes1
