July 26...who's coming with me???

anyone gotten any documents for the cruise yet? any excursion info in the mail? we haven't made final payment yet so I'm not expecting them in OUR mail yet, just wondering if any others have gotten them.:)

There are four families with children ranging from 4-18, boys and girls. We just planned this trip last week. It will be my families 2nd Disney cruise. Looking forward to it!

No excursion info in the mail yet but you can look on-line at DCL's website for all the shore excursions. We should be getting them within the next couple of weeks since final payment is on the 27th.

Let the others you are traveling with know about us. We would love to "meet" them.

Hey all,

I just received my excursion information in the mail...yeah!! Must mean the day is getting closer..not close enough...boo!!

Has anybody decided on any excursions yet?? We still are tossing a few around..hubby and kids want to do the submarine in st. thomas...i'd get to claustrophobic (sp?).

We haven't gotten our documents yet. Just wondering who you guys booked through? DCL directly? I booked through cruise.com and made final payment 1 week ago. Maybe that's why they haven't come yet. Getting those documents would just make the trip seem a little bit more real!!!

Probably only thing I'm booking through DCL will be parasailing for me, DS, & DD on Castaway Cay. Probably doing Coral World and Coki beach on our own along with Paradise Tram on St. Thomas. On St. Martin we will most likely do shopping in Phillipsburg and go to the beach right by where we dock (can't recall name???), maybe do the water taxi on our own. I'm a little afraid of the "sights" if we were to go to a beach on the French side of the island!!! :p

Also, thanks to a couple of your DD's (both 12 I think?) who my DD 12 has been corresponding with. She thinks it is "soooo cool" to have a similarly aged friend to chat with about the cruise!!

Nothing here yet...but I had some from some guests who didn't travel.

I don't think anybody got their docs yet. They are talking about the shore excursion info. They are sending out docs to guests traveling the end of June right now. We should get them in about 3-4 weeks.

Yes, Penny..My daughter just got your daughter's e-mail from someone today. I think it's a good idea so they can get to know each other before hand. Will she be in the kid's lab or the teen club? I thought I remember my DD saying that your daughter was closer to 13.

We haven't gotten our excursion information yet. We booked through AAA. Were only planning on booking a snorkeling excursion on St Thomas through DCL. Wer'e doing St Maarten on our own.

KerriL ---oops  I wrote documents when I was thinking excursion info! I was told by TA not to expect our documents until 2 weeks prior. I guess what takes us longer is that going through a TA, they have to get them from DCL then send to me (luckily we do, in fact, have mail out here in Nebraska!) :p

My DD won't be 13 until 6 weeks after we get off the ship. DCL lets them move up if they're within 1 month of their birthday, so she just misses it. This may be for the best, as I don't know how she'd do with the older kids (15 & up). She is really looking forward to having the run of Common Grounds in the mornings (makes her feel like a big kid, too). Problem will be her getting up so she can make it there! How old is your DD? Will she be in the Lab?

Penny,
My dd turned 12 in January and she'll be glad to learn that your dd will be in the lab. I think that even my 14 year old will be too young for the Common Grounds. He really enjoyed the lab last time.
About the docs, if you request it through your TA, they can tell DCL to mail them to you directly. Whether or not the TA will do that is another story. I usually request that when someone from out of state books with me. Then I don't have to have the agency pay the FEDEX to ship to the guest. DCL will send it directly to the guest.

Six of us are cruising myself, DH, DS(15),DS(13),DS(11), & DD(6).
We're also staying at the Radisson Friday (Traveling Amtrak from Massachusetts) so we have to get there early in case of any delays. Received our excursion package 5/19. DH wants to take a catamaran (I'd be happy on the beach!) We heard kids my boys ages loved it! Booked cruise through DVC(Disney Vaca club)...maybe that's why we received our info already.
Older boys will be in teen group, DS(11) wants to go to the Oceaneer Lab, not sure about DD (still skeptical about sending her alone)

Yesterday (May 24) we finally got our excursion info. I was going to do the parasail on CC until DH & I read it's "600 to 1000 feet up" Yeowie  Now I'm not quite as certain about doing it. Have any of you guys/gals done this before? Thoughts?

DVC DJE ---welcome! I also will have a DD 6 on the cruise. I think mine will LOVE the club.

KerriL---sorry, know nothing about the "wild side".

I wish my daughter could do the Wild Thing Teen Tour on Castaway Cay...she's only 12. I would love to go to Serentity Beach but have a feeling she isn't going to want to go to the kids program that day...bummer!! Last cruise my son wouldn't go in program so we missed Serentity Beach then too....one day I'll get there!!

I can't wait to get away from work and get on the "Magic"!!
