You're NOT stupid.

They don't give you the name of the hotel until after you complete the booking process. This was my first time using Hotwire, so I was a little nervous not knowing the name up front.

The Vancouver FAQ thread has what people have gotten for the stars and approval ratings. Right now the 5 star in downtown west with a 90% approval is the Pan Pacific. If it is 80% it is Sutten or Sutter...I forget which. The 4 star with 90% approval is the Sheraton Wall. Those are the two we booked.

I just checked and it is showing now for 7/24-26/11 with a rate of $136 for up to 2 adults & 2 kids. 5 stars, 90% approval. Good luck!

I dont see a 5 star, but according to the other post, It said if you take Downtown Vancouver West, 90% that shouldbe it. We are booking 5 rooms for 10 people so do you think Im doing it right?

NO!!!! The 4 star 90% is the Sheraton Wall about a mile from the port.

It is showing right now from 7/23 - 7/26 for 2A2K. 7/23 is $142 and 7/24 & 7/25 are $137. It is definitely 5 stars.

It is still showing up today for 2A2K. I am picking the Vancouver without the airport symbol next to it for 7/24 - 7/26. I will be home after 6:30/7 from our neighborhood picnic. PM me and we can try to work it out.

ETA...Are you sure you are looking up JULY and not June? I don't see any five stars for 6/24-26.

Lesson learned today if you need to book multiple rooms on hotwire decrease the number of rooms by one to see if the hotel will show up. Looks like 4 rooms is the most it will show the Pan Pacific for. If you enter 5 rooms it doesn't come up.

Got our Stateroom today, YAY 5142, 5144, 5146 and 5148. We have others on other floors but these are ours!!
