July 26, 2011 – 7 Night Alaska ~ Bears, Whales, Eagles and Ducks. Oh My!

Do we have a final list for the FE exchange?

A DIS meet would be great!! :disrocks:

We've only got a couple of changes to the FE list - still at around 10 cabins. Will post again shortly. Final day to sign up is June 15.

Kind of weird - I've never had such a small FE group! Guess I'll have to come up with a couple of things so that I can keep myself busy all week! :-)

I had reserved and paid for parking at the port. Now the company I paid is not in business and another is taking over. They will refund and I will rebook and thankfully they are honoring the price I had. :thumbsup2 The new company is charging more. We are taking 2 cars and the other couple had not registered and paid yet, so we will have to pay the higher price.

There are several stages of vacation planning. I have now left the excited stage and have entered the nervous stage. Will I get everything done, will we have the right clothes, etc? This will be our first cruise NOT on deck 6. I will probably spend the first few days wandering on the wrong deck. ;)

Hi, just a quick question about your palo bookings. Was Palo brunch available on the day you sail through Tracy Arm?

Hopefully all your booking went off without a hitch:goodvibes

Yes, and that's the day we booked brunch.

I just looked at current availability, and it looks like 11am on that day is the only space left. Or maybe it only looks that way on my screen because that's the day and time we have booked. Maybe it's actually all filled up?

HI There!

We are booked for the July 26 Alaska Cruise! We are new to the site and the info has been great! Some questions though -

How do we add our family to the FE Lis? We have two cabins.

What is on the Golden Mickey's Menu?

Formal to Semi Formal?

Thanks so much for any answers!! We are SO excited!

:welcome:

For the FE - send me a PM with your details and I'll add you to the list.

I think we'll get more info on the other questions when the May 3 cruisers get home over the next couple of days. I know one who is planning to post all the Navigators, which should help a lot.

Glad to have you sailing with us!:thumbsup2

Thanks 3princessMommy for the quick reply! Not sure if I'm doing this right, but the board is telling me I can't PM you since I don't have more than 10 posts.
Is there any other way I can contact you with the info? Please let me know, thank so much!

You can just post it here. I'll put it in the spreadsheet. I post all the info on the board anyway (unless requested not to). Feel free to omit cabin number or names if it makes you feel more comfortable.

We'd like to have the following information:
Screen Name
Real Name (all adults)
Number of children (boys/girls)
Ages of children
Cabin number
Restrictions (anything you don't want due to personal convictions or allergies)

Glad you'll be joining us. (You need ten posts to be able to send or receive PMs.) So keep posting here and you'll be there in no time!

Thanks for the quick response! I will ask the fellow cabin mates on posting their names and get back to you.

Just post 3 more and you will be able to send PMs.

Welcome!!

Golden Mickey menu is really just a menu on the night they have the Golden Mickey Show.

Formal and semi formal can be whatever you want to make them. Some people wear tuxes and gowns on one or both nights (the tuxes you rent come with 2 shirts), some people just wear "Sunday" dress clothes and some people just don't bother. We like to dress up a bit and have a nice photo taken. We have not decided if DrHug (DH) will wear a tux or just take a jacket. Alaska just does not seem a dress up place to me. :confused3

I think tonight is the night I can book the final two in our group for Palo brunch and excursions. First time cruisers. :thumbsup2 I am going to cancel the Palo dinner reservations I made for the rest of us and just do the diningroom every night. I had made them on Juneau night based on info we got earlier, but now it seems that is one of the rotation nights and I really don't want the new cruisers to miss Animator's show, so.. I would love for them to experience brunch though. :)

Thanks MrsMork for the information! Was not sure how formal to go, our church Sundays is really casual. Our son does not want to "dress up". LOL This will be my 9th post, one more to go!!!

:) Sunday dress up is kind of an old fashion term and dates me. Back in the day when we ladies wore our nice dresses and the men at least had a shirt and tie. Now it is jeans that are hopefully clean here although I still struggle with that. ;) Like I said, for us it is a great chance to get everyone spiffy and get a photo without paying a sitting fee. :cool2:

No luck with Palo or excursions yet for our newbie friends. :headache: Palo I know I can take care of if I arrive early and scramble as soon as we board. The excursion, I guess I will just keep checking back and hope that 2 people cancel. Luckily I am handling this for them since they don't even own a computer  and they won't have to know what a pain it is since we have told them how wonderful Disney is to sail with. :sad2:

Good luck. I hope you are able to get Palo for your group. We are really looking forward to this once in a lifetime (for us) trip to Alaska.

MrsMork - Hope you get your Palo reservations!! Thanks for the support, I've finally gotten to do a PM! YEAH!

So excited to do the Fish Extenders! Even the kids are getting into it, they are actually counting down to this cruise, not school ending but when do they get on the cruise!
