**July 2025 Check-in Thread!**

Wife just told me we may need to move our August trip up to the last week of July due to a work obligation in the first week of August. So this trip has moved from early June to early August to maybe late July.
Sounds great! Sooner is better 😉

Well but sooner involves changing flights, hotels, and tickets that have already been purchased. Thankfully the latter two are covered but the flight changing could be more costly.
That’s true
Hopefully it all works out and doesn’t end up costing much more

Let me know when you have your dates and where you’re staying and I’ll add you to the list °O°

Update for everyone going in July. Pirates is being removed from LLMP beginning JULY 1ST.

It was always supposed to be temporary, but it is now happening.

It is usually very easy to ride without LL and this should make it even easier. I do think it's a bit odd on the timing. Star Tours closes June 30th for the whole month, which is also on LLMP. Matterhorn is also closed. This is a 3 ride reduction in LLMP options during July.

I doubt it will be a huge issue, but it will certainly cause the other LLMP selections to sell out a bit more quickly.

Of course, if you have a park hopper you also have DCA rides to book too!

I just checked the DL website and there's still no specific July 4th entertainment other than Celebrate America Fireworks at 9:35. They typically do a WOC pre-show, but they do not post about it on the schedule.

I posted this upthread a couple of months back, but below was last year's schedule - we'll have to see what happens this year.

Crowds on the 4th in recent years have been surprisingly manageable. The one caveat is that DL is crazy at night because of the one-night only fireworks. I anticipate this year to be crazier with PTN. Earlier in the day before 5:00 or so is pretty light and after fireworks it's also fine. I personally plan to be at DCA for WOC and avoid the DL craziness!

July 4th, 2024 at Disneyland Resort
  • 12:45 pm 1st Marine Division Band from Camp Pendleton at California Adventure
  • 4:15 pm Flag Retreat with the 1st Marine Division Band from Camp Pendleton at Disneyland Park
  • 9:35 pm - Celebrate America Fireworks at Disneyland Park
  • 9:00 pm and 10:15 pm - July 4th tag before World of Color at California Adventure
  • Special photo opp on Main Street (east side by bypass) with Celebrate America sign and Mickey and Minnie in patriotic outfits
FWIW WoC had July 4th in 2024 tag on several days:

We’re celebrating July 4th in a very special way at the Disneyland Resort! From July 1-4, guests can experience special nighttime spectaculars celebrating America. At Disney California Adventure park, we’ve got an all-new Independence Day “World of Color” pre-show which will run prior to each showing of “World of Color” and will combine video, water effects, lighting and fireworks to create a spectacular celebration of American independence.

Yeah this is a bummer for someone who literally just removed park hopper on our tickets and added LLMP instead.

Yeah, this is ridiculous at this point. LLMP availability has now been reduced by 20% over what is advertised for our dates. We didn’t buy it to only use on 5 rides or return times 6 hours in advance. Popular rides will now be more difficult to book.
Seriously thinking of cancelling our trip as about every 3-4 days another negative thing gets announced

Woo Hoo, we're only a week away! We will probably get to our motel around 2 or so on the 4th of July and then plan on going to the parks. We have WOC dessert party that night and reservations to start at DL first. Does anyone know if we can go to DCA first when we come later in the day? We have hoppers. Thanks!

Yes, if it’s after 11am and you have park hoppers you can start in either park! :)

Still waiting on details on July 4th week for Disneyland correct? All we have is last year's schedule so far?

I saw WDW just went official with their schedule and food.
