Question of the day....

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

We chose WBC this time. We have Stayed both on and off property before. This time wanted to see if WBC "feels" like being on property since it is so close and I was able to trade in with RCI. Still really want to stay at BWV some day!

Only 7 days til we are in wdw! Too excited. Dgd is about to find out she is going to wdw. although she has been saying she is going to wdw for her birthday ever since we left wdw last year. Getting car service right now. Finalize all reservations today and will post them latet today. Need to finish shopping and start packing. And need to finish disney projects. No time to stop no time to talk i'm late i'm late... doing the happy dance!!

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

It's our first trip as DVC members and we wanted to stay as close to MK as possible, obviously, BLT was the first choice!

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

Oh gosh, I changed my mind a hundred times! For our first onsite trip in Feb I had narrowed it down to Poly and POFQ. We had some help from my parents for that trip, so we were able to make the Poly work...but this trip I am on my own and even paying for another person, so FQ it is. We took a trip to see it in Feb and just fell in love with it. I wanted to go moderate for price, but I am scared of the HUGE resorts with multiple bus stops. FQ seems perfect because it is small, but you also have all the benefits of Riverside right next door. Win win for us

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

I was invited to go on this trip with princessallie and her family, who almost always stay at the Boardwalk Villas. It's their favorite because of the whimsical atmosphere and the prime location. Of course I had no complaints! 2 WEEKS!!!! I can't WAIT!!!!​

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

DD 12 picked the resort after we received a random phone call from WDW reservations with an offer for 200.00 less than Value Resort if we would choose Moderate. I could not get the CM to give us a better deal for Deluxe so we stayed with the Moderate offer.

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

We had originally chosen All Star Movies but after some careful consideration and some research we decided to splurge and stay at WL. I think WL will give us more "oohs and ahs" then the All Star resorts would and we are hoping to be a Flag Family, which I think would be totally awesome.

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

We initially decided to stay at a value to save money, but we were looking for a more romantic feel since it's just my husband and myself. The moderates were more along the lines of what we were looking for. J chose POFQ because of the theme and the size - he thought it would be perfect for our first trip.

Why did you pick the resort you are staying at this year?

When AKL first opened, I love the idea of it and it looked amazing. But DH was still in the Army and we couldn't beat SOG in overall value, so we never stayed anywhere else. Last trip, we were going to stay there but my FIL was paying and he choose WL. So that is where we stayed. While on the same trip, we went to look at the DVC models since we were considering buying in at the time and I fell in love with the AKL model. Loved loved loved the room! But my kids had other choices. The trip we had to cancel was going to be at the Poly and when we originally booked for the summer, it was at the Poly. That is where my kiddos want to go -so thats where we were going. But we have a Poly curse and something always goes wrong when we are booked there. So when we had to move our trip, I told them I was staying at AKL! They could either stay with me or stay at home!


And, I think we are final on our dining now. We tried to cut back and ended up with just as many I think... LOL

The last few year, we have ended our trip at the MK. We let the kids go on their favorites (if possible) one last time. Then we eat at Crystal Palace for our last meal before heading back to the hotel to catch Magical Express. That is our plan this year also.

Our tradition is to go to Magic Kingdom on the last day from opening to close with no break.

Ditto! This year I booked the last possible flight out of MCO just so we can spend a little bit more time at the Happy Place on Earth!

We are always in MK on our last day and watch Wishes one last time. Then I cry as I walk down Main Street to exit the park.
