Arriving June 28
tinkerbell60- June 28-July 4 @ ASMv and July 4-10 @ POFQ

Have a great trip everyone that is leaving tomorrow. Safe travels :drive: and be sure to report back to us when you return. :wave2::wave:

Very nearly packed. DH is off today running last minute errands. The only things left to pack are the things we need to get dressed in the morning and stuff to entertain the kids in the car:banana:

I am stressing a little about the drive, though. We are coming from Texas and when I checked this morning I-10 was still closed from US 90 to I-75. I have found us an alternate route but I am not sure what impact all of the rain has on the roads around I-10. We have a ressies tomorrow night in Tallahasse - DH is checking to see how things are there. Oh well, where there is a will, there is a way. Safe travels to everyone heading out the next few days.

In case you miss your send off since you are leaving a day ahead, have a safe trip and enjoy your time.

I somehow totally missed this thread for 2.5 months. Ha. I am listed in the OP with a ? for hotel - ASMu if someone wants to update. And I will be having lunch with Mrs. Teddy on 7/12 according to the ADR list.

This is my family's first trip to The World. In fact, my husband hasn't ever been beyond the TX/LA border. We are SO excited. My DS7 is going to be surprised on the morning that we leave...as in "get in the car because we are going to Disney World right now". He's been begging to go for a year now and we've told him that it's really expensive and we have to save for a while. He has no idea that things like tax returns and annual bonuses exist. ;)

How exciting! My son and daughter don't know about our trip either. We are going to tell them the night before we leave. I wanted to do the morning of, but since we have to get up at 5:00 am in the morning to get to our flight, I thought that might mess them up to be woken up like that so we are doing the night before. Hope your son is surprised! There is nothing like a first trip to Disney.

I added your information to the list. Since we go back and forth between this thread and the other, I think I got your information from that thread. Your hotel is added now and if you want to add your ADRs to the list, just let me know.

Just back from a short trip to Cinci with our church and I think I am more exhausted from it then a week at Disney... I do NOT like buses! I went to my very first MLB game. I am not a baseball fan, but I loved watching the Reds play. Spent yesterday at Kings Island. Kids had a blast, I rode the "bench" with some really good company. All in all, great trip!

Question of the day....

Does anyone make any special room requests at your resort of choice or do you take what you get?

We went with a pool view room. I asked the castmember on the phone if he suggested any area in the resort since I really know nothing about it. He put in close to Mara and elevator with a balcony. So, hopefully that is a good choice???

Question for the day...

Are you completely packed, a little packed, or not even started?

Haven't even started. And that is unusal for me. We have been so busy this summer it has been insane. The girls leave for the beach on Sunday and they aren't even packed for that either. :scared1: :sad2:

I do however have my list of everything that needs packed. While the girls are gone, I will get me and DH packed, the toiletries bag pack and all the snack stuff ready. Then when they get back, I will have a week to get done. Normally, I would be freaked out. But since they will be gone I will have plenty of time.

Glad you had a fun little trip.

We are also staying pool view at AKL. We love it. Last September we stayed on the Giraffe trail, pool view first floor. It was great. I would love the same again. Can't go wrong though. I think by the Mara and the elevators is an excellent choice especially for your first time.

I don't get started until the night before, although I have a list of things that we are slowly buying to make sure we have everything we need.

Question of the day...

Are you trying anything that is unique or different this trip?

Question of the day...

Are you trying anything that is unique or different this trip?

This trip my DH wants to trying golfing for the first time in the World and we are all going to try the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land. Just wanted to add something different to our trip this time around.

Question of the day...

Are you trying anything that is unique or different this trip?

Besides the fact that It's only going to be me and DD (normally my DH and DS would go with) we're trying 50's Prime Time for the first time. I also don't really have a SET plan...which is  for me. I usually have a strict park itinerary. We plan on winging in the second leg of our trip!

Nothing pertaining to Disney, but I am trying Wegoshop.com this time instead of Garden Groc. By the way I P.M. my cell phone # to you.

All of it....since it's my first trip to WDW! We went to DL 2 years ago and it was a fly by the seat of your pants kinda trip because my dad decided last minute to take us all. I am a planner so this trip with be slightly more structured. Not to the point of knowing where we will be every second of the day (except for ADRs) but just kind of a general plan.

My ADRs are:

7/8 - Chef Mickey's - 6:55p
7/10 - Hollywood & Vine - 12:00p
7/11 - Crystal Palace - 12:05p
7/12 - Tusker House - 12:05p
7/13 - O'hana - 8a

I do realize that some of these choices won't offer the best culinary experience but it's for my kids, so me and the husband will deal with it.
