Very good wine...so is

My DH packs an hour before too...but always forgets something!! His motto...I'll just buy it! It must be a male gene....hahaha
No doc's here, but my sister who was the last to pay off her cruise (2 days before the deadline!) got hers last weekend and she lives in Costa Mesa, just 10 minutes from me! Whats up with that??
We're not wine drinkers either. I love Midori sours blended and a cold Corona here or there. My DH idea of drinking is Coke w/ lime instead of regular coke. What a party crowd we are ;)
I'm a list maker so, I will have a mile long list over the next few weeks but probably not actually pack until a few days before, or else I forget what I already packed and end up taking double. We bought 2 new pull suitcases at the swapmeet just to be sure we had all of us covered.
Jill

I got them
I got them

I just got home and UPS rang my bell. Recived documents for one cabin. I bet the other cabin's documents will come tomorrow. I almost did not answer bell since my neighbor and I have same wireless bell and everytime one rings the other rings. It is usually for them. :rotfl:

We have early seating.

I got them, too! :cool1:

I got them, too! :cool1:

Well, as for packing, it appears that we could be packing the suitcases the night before we leave. Very hectic schedules right at the moment for all four of us.

And anyway, it is best to keep the excitement and anticipation at the highest for as long as one can. Do not want to have the suitcases just sitting there, mocking us! Besides, do not have the ticket and such, so what is the big deal! :)

WOO HOO Got mine today too (and my moms'), they were on my doorstep when I came home from shopping.
Also, I was at Sam's Club today and they have a few different womens summer Tshirt style's in lime green, if anyone is looking for them. I'm not sure if Sam's is all over the country or not.
We'll be doing the paint chip name tags for our group of cabins.
It's feeling more real every day it gets closer!!
I can't wait.

That UPS man is VERY busy today!! We got both our cabins docs today.... I really feel like we are officially going now. I haven't convinced the family to wear the lime green shirts. I'll be heading over to Sam's this week and will check the shirts out there. We are having a pool party for my 2 oldest kids b-days this weekend. After that I can start getting everything together for our cruise. Phew! I thought for sure we'd be last to get our docs...Momma can afford another massage!! Talk to you all later. Amy :flower:

Hey all! I am still resting up from the cruise, but I wanted to stop by and say howdy! It was great! I am sure we are going to have a great one as well.. now, as I am fairly new to this thread, I am not sure about what you all have planned for DIS get togethers and such... and let me say this... I am not a good planner, so I am only making suggestions, not volunteering to plan anything... LOL... I suggest meeting Saturday at 3pm outside of "Scoops" for a quick meet and greet... since Lime Green is the "DIS" color of choice, we can see each other in the terminal and at the meets if we all wear something Lime Green, if nothing else, the Lime Green "Disney Paint Chips" at home depot (they are shaped like Mickey) are free and you can pin one to your shirt with your real name and DIS name on it... Just a thought... If someone can keep track of all the DIS'ers including rooms and such and maybe print it out so we can get in touch with each other on board... As far as timing goes... usually around 2pm on Sea days is a good time... On the last cruise we had a "Wine Tasting" a "Beer tasting" and a "champagne get-together" for DIS'ers which different folks hosted in their rooms... all the events are BYOB so as not to put anyone out... What do y'all think? As far as the Party in the ROY suite goes, do you all want to do a daytime thing or a night for adults only? Let me know, ok? I look forward to getting to know you all... :cool1:

Hello all DIS Boards Members. Thanks for all your reply regarding my dilemma about our cabin assignments. I have been calling Disney trying to upgrade to a Category 4 but the July 2nd Cruise is completely sold out. I have not lost hope. Meanwhile, I saw my sister-in-law's threads and I remembered her e-mailing me about joining the cruise meet. We'd love to join your party. Is it full now or closed? Can you please count us in? I am cruising with my DH(40), my DS(14-his birthday tomorrow), my DD(9) and my other DD(4). We are so excited, counting the days.....Both my DH and I work in very stressful jobs (consulting-engineering/interior design) :guilty: :headache: and we need this much needed break.
Will Disney switch cabin assignments if I find somebody through the DIS Boards to switch cabins with? My family's cabin assignments are at both ends of the ship which means my DH and I will sleep in separate cabins. :sad1:  It really does stink (as some of you said) but we don't want to cancel this trip. My brother's family who lives in Texas is also going on this trip. I'll know next time to book Category 4 to avoid this situation. We're planned to do the Paradise Beach excursion for PV, Mazatlan Frank for M and none yet for Cabo. We're second seating at 8:30 for dinner and we've booked for Palo for 2 dinners, a brunch and a high tea. (Don't have the information handy.) any news of what Castaway Club members receive or any interesting news from the first group of West Coast cruisers? Will try to post again more details. Got to get back to work.............. :wave2:

It's going to be pretty hectic over the next couple of weeks, at our house, too. I haven't started packing yet, or even made a list of what I want to bring. Heck, we haven't even figured out how we're getting to the port yet--fly, drive; drive, fly--we change our minds everyday. :confused3 But I do have a box on the floor next to my bedroom door that I'm tossing cruise things in as we go. I think I'm going to need a bigger box, though. :goodvibes

Clarissa, Of course we'd be happy to include you and your family in our Dis meet...but most importantly..Have you gotten your cruise docs yet? Last one to get them buys the first round of drinks and by the looks of this crowd it may just be a trip up to the soda station for some free sodas. (Then we can just hit up Darcy and Dave up for their stash) Darcy...better make that 2 bottles until we hit the first port  :rotfl:

Sorry you didn't get your room problem solved yet. As much as I'd like to ship my kids and my DH to the other side of the ship, I'd better not do any cabin switching. I know that my DH and my MIL would end up with a nice quiet room to themselves and I'd be roomin' it with all 4 of my kiddos. I hope something can be done but either way, I'm sure you'll all have a good time. Amy :flower:

Hey Amy,
I wondered if your kids had different looking birth certificates or do they all look the same? I knew I had certficates for all 4 of our kids, but when I pulled them all out, I discovered my 3 boys (20,14,12) look much different then my daughters (6) does.
Just thought I'd check with a fellow O.C.'er to see if it was true with others. I had always ordered theirs within a few months of their births but never paid attention to how they looked.
I have this fear of getting up to the check in and them saying its not correct! DH and I have passports.
Thanks
Jill

Birth Certificates: My two older girls look one way and the second two kids are different in two more different ways. Make sure you have a raised seal and you will be fine. Birth certificates are not standard, from county to county or state to state. The "Official-ness" is the prority, hence the stamped raised seal.

Hope this will calm some of your fears.
Darcy

Jill, we're in the same boat as you. My Dh and I have passports but the kiddos will have birth certificates. Actually I haven't even gotten the 2 and 1 year olds BC yet :sad2: Because I got the older 2's cert's within a year or so fo each other they are the same. If you have any doubt I know a place in Santa Ana (not the court house) that you can be in and out in 1/2 hour usually. Looks like I'll be making that trip soon!! Another thing on my to do list! Amy :flower:

We all now have passports - got them two months ago (another expense) - glad I have them.

We used our birth certificates for our kids for our first two cruises - two are the same - pink, large sheet, original looking - my oldest son is a small piece of paper that looks like a copy - all have raised seal. (I have extra copies at home and one time I gave my oldest sons original to his basketball coach - I did not even know or notice the difference until he pointed it out to me. My dh and I had used our Naturalization papers - now we shall just bring passports.

Clarissa - I hope it all works out for you. It is sold out? I have not checked on line for any availabitliy anymore (just out of curiosity).

Jill, Our 3 sons' BC all looked different. Most recent one was all printed nice and fancy on pretty paper (with a raised seal). One son was printed on plain while paper (with raised seal). One was a record of birth (even through I requested a BC), so I had to go down and pick up a new copy. I expected major lines, but the record office had NO line. Walked in, paid the man, got my son's BC. Now at least 2 match... I don't think it is a problem as long as the seal is there. Good luck!

Jim.......you're pretty good at this kind of thing ;) (or XLT can do it while he sits, all alone in his hotel room this week :love2: )

Maybe we should have a list going to see WHO is the last to get their docs.......'cause we all need at least a "drink of the day" to celebrate.

(THANK GOD WE GOT OURS!)

Fran
:teacher:

I was reading on another thread that to get off the ship that there was a shorter and faster line for families with all passports and a longer slower line if you had anyone with a birth certificate. Since we have a 12:15 flight I am glad we have all passports.

Clarissa...you are definitly welcome to the meet if we ever decide where and when.

Darcy, when you are running just look for the 4 really bright green shirts trying to get through the port with all of our gear. If we are allowed 2 bags each carry on we should be ok, even with Fran's 5 large bottles of of Kool aid wine (should be a good cruise for me :lovestruc :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Jim.....Be sure to stop by for a Crown and coke!!

Have a great night

Dave

AnnaS,
Yes, the July 2nd sailing is all sold out according to reservations at Disney. We're hoping to check in very early to try and upgrade.
You guys are scaring me, :scared: :worried: not sure if I can afford to buy everybody drinks (I just got our car fixed today and I got a whopping bill from the mechanic. I wanted to cry! There goes any hope for shopping. Oh well!)..........we're probably going to get the documents last since we're across the border from you.
Has anyone heard any news about what movies they're showing? What production they replaced? Anyone know of any friends who went on the first sailing? What were their comments? :confused3

Clarissa

I had just asked that on the cruise line thread also.

Hidden Treasure
Incredibles
Pacifier Nemo and some other ones I can't remember

Her screen name I think is DisneyDarwin and she starts her thread as Also on the Magic - she has been on the first page. I will try to link - bear with me.
