For those that know, please post your dinner rotation. It would be interesting to see what each group has.
How do we know this info? I don't recall getting or hearing it yet.
Thanks

Welcome Knowledgeonpaper -

We are a family of five and we are traveling with AOPI57 (WendyP) and her parents from NY. This will be our third Disney Magic cruise for all three families. My children are the same ages as Wend's so it works out perfect for us.

We have received documents for one our cabins (yesterday) - I thought I would receive today documents for our other cabin, no luck. I don't understand why they are not delivered together. Same as Wendy - one cabin only.

If it is too much too read, list details, members of your family, cabins, excursions, dinner time - go back a few pages and you will find a list that Jim has prepared - he will be updating again - give as much or as little as you want. We won't come after you :teeth: :teeth:

Hoping you will join us when we finalize our dismeet - do you guys own any lime green shirt? Some of us are planning on wearing them on Saturday. At least one or two members of our families.

Does anyone here know what their dinner rotation is? Don't we find out once we board?

Wendy and I are now trying to switch our Palo brunch from Sunday to another day (no dinners available - only Saturday) - we want to make the DVC meet. We will not cancel original one until we have another brunch set up.

Passport help!
My boys passports do NOT have a raised seal on them, but are a 1/4 sheet certficate that says "this computer generated abstract of birth is an official document" on the top. They are numbered and have a state seal in the left corner and a county recorder seal in the right....but they are not raised. Does it have to be raised? I can't find that written anywhere, but recall hearing it.
Any ideas?
Jill

My apologies - after I submit my post - a second later I think of something else.

We were discussing this with my son (Wendy had the same conversation - I wonder why  )

Drinking age is 21? Correct? Please tell me yes - my 19yr. old going on 35 son was asking me. I told him I think it's whatever the legal age is here 21 (unless you are off the ship - they age sometimes means nothing).

Should be noted on your documents...FOR THOSE THAT HAVE RECEIVED THEM. NOT US YET!!!!!!!!!!!

I am certainly not planning on having to buy a round of drinks. But I guess I could chip in if there is a tie. :bored:

For all he knows it is 21. So 21 sounds good. Yes that's the age...wink wink. I don't know.

You can also tell him that there is a curfew on the ship. Never worked with my youngest daughter, though. And probably will not work this time either.

Where are they in the documents? I only see Dining - Main - If I remember correctly they will be in our cabin when we arrive with our navigators unless they have changed this. I am looking - I don;t see it - what about you Fran? It could be late for me.

Our doc's only say main too.
Am I missing something? I swear I've read them over front to back.

Well maybe I am mistaken (old age, the memory goes) But, I thought that there were a series of letters APLAPLA that designates the rotation.

But hey, like I said, I might be mistaken. And if so....sorry

Tchrmom, thanks for the input. That would give DH and I chance to have a dress up adult evening. We have our couples massage a few hours before dinner. Yes, I'm keeping the reservation! :love2:

My DD's official bc does not have a raised seal but it is official/original. It is a 3/4 sheet with different colors. We had to submit it to get her passport. In California, I just had to take it to the post office to fill oit the application, take the picture, pay, take an oath and mail it off. No waiting in line. This surprised DH and I.

I was told that I won't know our dinner rotation until we board.

Lime Green shirts :rotfl2: Please share your secrets in convincing DH's. If you are a DH wearing a lime green shirt, can you call my DH. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I won't have docs until 2 weeks before the cruise. I saw the brown truck today and crossed my fingers as he walked to neighbors house. :sad2: It might be all you can drink free soda.

It is great to have another group.

I have to agree with tchrmom ( go figure ) :rotfl2: But having to only dress up once is the way to go. The kids are not interested and anyway they just want to scarf their food down and leave so why make them get dressed up for that.

Dining rotation will be on your KTTW card when you check in. The drinking age is for sure 21.

How to get DH to wear lime green......If I have to so does he and I will buy him a drink if he does :rotfl: Actually it just makes life a little easier if someone is obviously from the DIS. I am not one to just walk up to someone and ask if they are one of those compulsive, addictive, non-working overplanners on the DIS :rotfl: :rotfl: Then proceed to tell them to get a life it is just a cruise :rotfl2:

Speaking of work......I guess I better get some done so I can get some sleep tonight.

Dave

When you signed up for the cruise you could have requested early or late seating for dinner. Sometimes you get your preference and sometimes you don't. However once you board the ship and check in the navigator there is an opportunity to switch dinner seating. Since this is a sold out ship, someother family will want to switch as well. They put you on a list. Then sometime before dinner you will get a phone call on your room phone whether they are able to switch dinner times or not. Last cruise we went with my parents and they were in a different cabin, we had all requested late seating. One cabin got early and one got late. So mistakes happen. However we were successful in getting our choice. Alot of people with young children prefer the early seating so they can get their kids to bed, for the fun filled day ahead. Last cruise late seating wasn't til 8:30pm.

To: Knowlegdeonpaper,

Welcome to the group.

Don't be overwhelmed by the abundance of activities. Just remember that there are so many activities on board that it is imposssible to "do it all". I know because I tried the first cruise.

Vickie

WELCOME - That makes the 19 group/family to join the group - I will add you to the list & post this weekend - Boy, I will need a drink when all this is finally completed ;) OK Fran, It will be us who obtains our docs last - no brown truck for us :confused3 I will buy water for all of us :rotfl: That is all I can afford.

longfamily - I was able to buy a nice lime green polo shirt for a reasonable price at Ross. Buy your DH the type of shirt he likes, ie hawaiian or polo, and have him wear that day. If he likes the type of shirt the color will be minimal concern. :goodvibes

OK - its decision time pirate: DISMEET WHERE & WHEN !!! :grouphug:

My vote is for DECK 10 - Above Scoops @ 3 pm - I will have a Mickey Bar :mickeybar and one of Dave's Crown & Coke

Jim

Jim,

Deck 10 - 3 pm sounds good for us here.

If anyone spots lime green shirts at port/just ask Disboard? with this look

We actually met two couples waiting in line to check-in for our first cruise. Just overheard conversation and made connection.

XLT is not usually one for "goofy" things............but SOMEHOW, I managed to get him to wear a lime green t-shirt. But he is right, it IS easier to make conversations with.....er....um.......others who need a life. :rotfl2: After the first few minutes.....you forget you're even wearing it! Right now, it's not so bad, since it is "in style". However, 3 years ago, lime green was NOT the color, and I had to actually order some online. (yes, you can find anything on the web!)

Took DD shopping yesterday. She had a Limited Too gift card from her birthday, burning a hole in her wallet. As a good female, she had cruise clothes in mind! :sad2: Sadly, $40.00 does NOT go far in that store. To a 10 year old, $40.00 seems like a lot. And then, to get into the store and find out a skort....on sale....is $27.99 is.......heartbreaking. Good Life lesson, I guess. (I am happy to report she did get another pair of shoes :goodvibes )

OK, 3:00 at Scoops sounds fine to me...........unless we see some conflict....like the life boat drill. Glad someone fianally made a decision. (Ask XLT.....I can not make one to save my life  )

Scoops, 3:00. Sounds good. Decision making is not my strong suit, either. I can't tell you how many nights DH and I started to go out to dinner and then just ended up eating at home because we couldn't decide where to go. Hate to say it (but Wendy, you know it's true,) Vanvmom is not much better. We were driving to Tahoe last summer and if it wasn't for the third person in the car with us, we would have never stopped for lunch because we couldn't decide where to eat. Lucky for us, our friend came up with a plan. I wish she was cruising with us too! :goodvibes

Big box from Lands End came yesterday, :cheer2: but I only found it this morning. I was trying on swimsuits at 6:30 this AM!

Darn, going back to work :teacher: this week has really put a cramp in my cruise planning agenda. It makes it hard to spend hours on the boards! :sad2:

BTW--Old Navy has every sherbet color T-shirt you could want, including lime green.

Yes... the truth is finally out! Some may call it indecision... I prefer to think of it as flexibility, yeah, that's it... flexibility! It makes me forget all about my tendencies toward "planned spontaneity." I know I can't be the only one who gets that  feeling when there are SO many fun things to choose from! Or... maybe I'm just a bit crazy, but it's a fun place to be :jumping1: :jumping1:

I Like that! I'm not indecisive....just very flexible! :rolleyes1

Got that XLT?

Fran
