Howdy gang

We got our docs Tuesday. I hadn't posted it because I just got back last night from Disneyland! There were 4 moms and 8 boys picking up the first group of boys and dropping off the second group from a sailboat adventure. We had a nice time at Disneyland - it was crowded of course. Wednesday night they closed at 9 for a Grad night. That was a bummer. Our feet were happy though As soon as the fireworks were over everything closed - even the mainstreet stores. Downtown Disney was still open.

Count two of us in for the party on the 4th. Thanks Ron and Dave

Jim already has us down I think for the DIS meet and gift exchange.

I've been reading for quite awhile to catch up from the last couple of days!

Vanvmom - I've never tried Priceline. I guess I don't like the fear of the unkown. I'm sorry you had such an experience!

I have to go - I need to apply Fran's rule now................

Hi everyone -

I also have the no cooking rule two days before vacation - gotta finish some of the perishable items too (sometimes we give to my neighbor). Usually the day we return and sometimes the next day (at least til I re-stock certain items) no cooking. I call it - we are in vacation mode

Starting today will place some things in our luggages - not officially packing - will be unpacking and repacking the day before we leave.

just checking in! cleaning my house this am so we can get the luggage out and start packing. leaving tues 6 am! a big suburban car will pick us up, staying a paradise pier, renting a car for two days to see LA . and can't wait to go to DL ! I am still up for "on the rocks." How about if I pitch in to pay for the tequila and mix and then I don't have to worry about clanging on to the plane. We are just a couple doors down the hall from you so we can do the hallway trot for fill-ups! Compared to the large number of non-drinkers I must sound like a lush!!!

Davis and Ron- We are Kent and Darcy. I can wear a little lime green Mickey head name tag if you like! I was thinking of wearing it to the DIS meet too.

DOC QUESTION: Do I really need to bring the entire booklet, or can I just tear out the important pages? They are very bulky and my carry on bag is getting fuller by the minute.

Bought cds for camcorder today, hair trimmed - manicure and pedicure Thursday after work for me and my dd.

We are myself - Anna, husband is Gaspare - my 19 yr. old son is Ignazio (friends call him Iggy for short - I personally don't like it), my 17 yr. old is Ambrogio (friends call him Ambro - personally don't like it ).

Well it seems that people are already getting ready for their vacation or are possibly on their way. For those leaving early to enjoy Sounthern Ca., have safe trips. For us, we still have a wekk to go. Flying out early Saturday morning.

We have not started packing yet. I believe that my daughter at the UofA in Tucson has started, but we have not started! Well, I should say that we have started the laundry to prepare for the cruise, but have not started packing. We are working on list right now and doing the shopping thing. We are also completing a lot of things for work and business that has to be done prior to leaving on vacation.

Someone mentioned Priceline and not recommending it. I am a strong advocate of Priceline in that I have received some fantastic deals on motel rooms and rental cars. I believe that it depends on the locations and the time of year.

Wow my Mom started packing probably 1 week ago. But she always starts packing like 2 weeks b4 the actual trip. Well, see you all Saturday or Sunday, or whenever we are meeting. lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't started packing yet. It seems so overwhelming! But I'll finish laundry today and start packing tomorrow. I had a dream (nightmare?) last night that we had to be at the airport within an hour and I hadn't started packing yet.

DS got a new backpack and DH got new shoes today for Palo, so I guess we're about done shopping. Time to bite the bullet and pull out the suitcases!

We are in serious packing mode here......the bomb has gone off clothes and suitcases are everywhere. I think the shopping is done. The question is How many bags can the Huseman family carry???????

We are: Judy (me), and Arlene (DD - 23). We will only be doing a quick "Hello, good-bye" as we have the Palo tea at 3:00.

Arlene is almost finished with our door decoration. She has drawn a picture of Stitch lighting some fireworks. I'm going to laminate it when she's done. It's really cute, be sure to stop by and see it

I'm throwing things in a box as I remember them. Does that count as packing?

I'll be at Disneyland on either Monday or Tuesday with my DS, 17. Anybody else going to be there?

I admire those of you already in "packing mode." I'm too overwhelmed to think about it yet. I do have 2 bags of things I've tossed stuff into though. This weekend is "all about cleaning mode" for us here. We've got a house/dog sittercoming to stay here while we are gone and the house must be clean first!
