July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

My two cents.......let's all celebrate the new and old friends that we sailed with and plan to meet again in the parks on on the ship in the near future.....so happy for the memories.......:goodvibes

I love the pictures of your girls. They look so sweet. And they seem to be enjoying their cruise together so much. What wonderful memories for all of you.

Joann, you have such a presence on stage/screen. A new career perhaps?:scratchin

Thank you so much! Actually, I often play the role of the USG spokesperson with the media, so it's good to know that I have the right skills to do what the taxpayers are paying me for! :thumbsup2

I got really upset last night driving home from work when I realized that two weeks ago, I was racing home to pack! I'm definitely swuffering from PCD (post cruise depression) this time around. So much so that we're toying with a Thanksgiving cruise for this November . . . .

I'm soooo jealous!!!!

JoAnn #2,

We are still talking about the great FE gifts you made. DH used the bookmark right away and I put the soap in my drawer to make my clothes smell sweet. We really enjoyed meeting you and Aaron and the girls.

I'm so glad that you liked them. I'm feeling warm and fuzzy.... :goodvibes

By "toying" she means that we're going to go, and only she doesn't know it, yet. :)

I'm not waiting another year for Palo scallops.

They are good aren't they! :worship:

Drat... we won't be able to go again until DD is out of college... I just can't justify the $$ for crusing when we are going to be spending so much for college....

But... I told her when she get her first job, she can take me on a cruise, but I want the same cabin as I just had :-)

:lmao:

Is HE serious?:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3

Very likely . . . . they have a military rate for the TDay cruise, so . . . .

I've spent the last few years taking only one week of vacation a year max, and it seems like two is in the cards this year. Don't forget that for us, there are no flight or hotel expenses. And it would be nice not to cook this year . . . .

Good luck with that!:rotfl:

And don't forget, I'm available for adoption.;)

I woke up this morning to some terrific storms. The storms effected my last dream. I started dreaming that the rain drops were in the shape of the three circle Mickey head. I really have to have this chip that Disney inserted into my neck removed.:rotfl:

My DS came home from camp yesterday. We are finally a whole family again. After only spending 4 nights in his bed in July, he is happy to be home. Nobody is happier than this mom.:goodvibes

Finally going through all the FE gifts - I'm once again overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone. I'm having fun going through them. Can I ask a huge favor of those who gave CDs - do you have the song list? I'm transfering to my iPod - some of the titles I know, but many of the instrumental soundtracks, I'm not familiar with. I guess I need to head to WDW and DCL for more research...:rolleyes1

Us too! Going to try and help Bailey start on her cruise scrapbook to keep the Magic memories alive. We are still telling family and friends of all the fun we had with FE and the outstanding service and special treatments we received from the cruiseline staff.

Also- is there a way for us "middle-landers" (no FL residency, no Military) to receive discounts when looking towards another cruise? Can you book a few weeks out on a Disney cruise and get a savings (not including airline, etc.).

Well, this year DCL has been running various specials, like the kids cruise free discounts. You just need to keep an eye out for them. The onboard booking discount is always a good one, as is booking far in advance. People who booked the July 18 cruise way in advance paid about the same as we did with our last minute FL resident rate.

I have no idea. Mine came from a DISer named "Beano" about three years ago. He sent out 2 CDs to anyone that wanted them. We've been listing to them ever since that time. I edited the list down to one CD, and I added the ship's horn. The last 4-5 pieces from the Castaway CD that they used to send out after your first cruise. I'm not sure if they do that anymore?

At last check, they still send that Castaway CD out. We've gotten one after every cruise we've been on since they started. I'd expect it in the mail any day. :)

I would imagine that most of the music/sounds that are found on various CDs are from the Disney Forever collection that used to be part of a kiosk system in the parks and DTD. For whatever reason they stopped doing it, which is sad because they were really nifty. You could essentially compile a CD of songs and sounds throughout all the attractions, and have them custom made for whatever sounds you like... such as the exit spiels for the monorail, or area music. I imagine those are cycling around the serious Disney fans.

I agree. I wish they would still be around too. I love the parks music.

Matt got his drivers license today. :scared1:

Taking Catherine this afternoon to get her drivers permit. With the cost of Drivers Ed and the increase to our insurance premiums AFTER all the discounts applied I may need to get a second job. :sad2:
