July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

Banana = food. Food = item on buffet table.

I formed four different responses to this message, and after I read them over I realized that every single one of them crossed the line of what you can get away with on a public forum.

So...

How awesome is creme brulee? The ship really had great creme brulee... MmmmMmmm...

:rotfl2: Enjoying the conversation! :rotfl2:

I'll take pity on you and help you change the conversation ...Never tried the creme brulee - Dh loves Creme Brulee, but when he orders it he's never happy - the crust is usually cold ... But, as for me, So many Mickey Bars so little time.

woo hoo! Impromptu date night. We're off to an already scheduled theatre group party. Both kids are otherwise occupied with their social lives and we're child-free tonight!

You know, I've never eaten a Mickey Bar. There is always so many other things I can eat. One day.............

You know, I've never eaten a Mickey Bar. There is always so many other things I can eat. One day.............

Had four Mickey bars at dinner, thank you very much:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar - over four nights, that is!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

is in trouble with Marcy....guess I'll do the talking. :scared1: DH was NOT bumped from his Dallas flight, should be landing in Phila. in 30 minutes (left Dallas 80 minutes late, though), doesn't look like Lucy will be seeing free tickets anytime soon.....BomaGreg, can you wait for me till next summer?:worship::worship::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I too am still amazed by your bookmarks. :worship:I'm impressed with the design. WOW! And I'm amazed with everything you were doing before the cruise that you could knock out all of these. I need a sewing machine or other machines to mass produce. I barely got those 4 placemats done for the grab bag. :rotfl:

Thanks! I freely admit to biting off far more than I can chew. DH did the design (and actually made 2 of the bookmarks - although he won't admit to it in public). Then my mom, who taught me to cross-stitch many years ago, helped out by making a few as well. For those that didn't get the cross-stitch bookmarks, I hope the Ghanaian bookmarks were acceptable replacements. I just couldn't get to 40 bookmarks.

Joanne #1, (or are you #2 - I can't remember...)

I just saw your photo album through facebook. Your girls were adorable on formal night. My mom kept exclaiming over these three adorable girls she kept seeing and describing their outfits. She was describing your girls! Absolutely precious!!!

Well, I do have 3 girls but only 2 were on the trip so.............you must mean Joann #2!:cutie::cutie::cutie:

I know the difference, I was too lazy to type out screen names and then couldn't remember which number we assigned to which one of you :)

Yep! #2 - That's me! :thumbsup2 Although, I think there was a Joann #4 on our cruise too. When DH and I were enjoying our short downtime at serenity bay, they used the loudspeaker to page "Joann Sorrenson". DH about jumped out of the beachchair when they first made the announcement and he heard them say "Joann"!:scared1:

Yes, definitely Joann 2's girls -- they were adorable. I have loads of pictures of her girls, but have refrained from posting anyone's kids without prior approval.

I also have the picture (from the screen) of when her girls were interviewed for the Golden Mickeys. Joann, did Greg show those to you?

I'd love to see those! I don't know if Greg showed them to us when we sat down or not. My memory is such blur! :sad2: (Approval granted! :thumbsup2)

Just a quick hello. I've been spending most of the day trying to upload pics. I'll try to post a few when I'm done. Thanks for some really great ones posted so far.

Does anyone have a pic of all of us from the GG at Epcot? I didn't have photopass so I couldn't get one.

Thanks for reminding me about the photopass! I need to get online and check those to see if we need to order any of them!

I got an AWESOME grab bag gift in which Gracie (JoAnn #2/BigAWL) assisted me in opening! Everyone's children were so well behaved! You should ALL be proud!

I agree with you on the hand made things. If anyone didn't see my grab bag gift you should have!!!!:cloud9:They weren't just "placemats" as Shirley described....they were made out of the material she bought that is the same colorful material the servers vests are at Antimator's Palate!!!!!!!! I feel so blessed! I will cherish them forever! Do you mind if I post a pix of them Shirley??? I am SO PROUD of them!

Gracie loves to open packages! And those placemats were fantastic! Soooo jealous!!!!

Geez! I just found the gift tag that was supposed to go in our grab bag! Whoever got the grab bag with cheese in it (one in the shape of Wisconsin) and Cow Pie candy - that was from us. Sorry the tag didn't make it in the bag. :confused3

There was cheese????????? :sad1::sad1:

we start school on August 10th.

Asking for prayers for Nicholas as he has a minor surgery on the 3rd. Surgery is minor but with his lack of endocrine system thanks to the tumor and his radiation treatments knocking out his pituitary, nothing is minor anymore.

Prayers for Nicholas! :grouphug:

Okay you two! ;) :lmao:

Miss you all! So glad everyone is still so chatty online - makes it feel like the cruise isn't really over - at least in spirit!

How could you go on a cruise and never eat a Mickey bar?!?!?

The snack bar in the terminal used to sell Mickey bars; that was my tradition, 1st bar in the terminal. I had everyone sold on the idea of celebrating with a Mickey bar at the terminal, and they no longer sell them. I had to wait until onboard...:sad1:

There is so much to eat onboard. So many wonderful desserts and so little time. My DD usually would get a Mickey bar for dessert on past cruises, but this year she decided on the adult menu. She tried everything chocolate. That's my girl. :thumbsup2

Our table at dinner was treated on the last night with chocolate souffles from Palo. (It really had to do with a story about the family at our dining table, but we got the benefit too.) My DD started nibbling the souffle. Then when she saw I wasn't going to finsh mine, it was the second dessert of the evening afterall, she swooped in to finish it off. Not sure she will ever go for the Mickey bar again either.

I'm going to look for any tell-tale signs that mine is a rare one that was made by Aaron rather than you. That would make it extra collectible. :goodvibes

She started it!

I have four more pounds to lose that says that it isn't over. popcorn::

I love the pictures of your girls. They look so sweet. And they seem to be enjoying their cruise together so much. What wonderful memories for all of you.

Joann, you have such a presence on stage/screen. A new career perhaps?:scratchin

I have spent the last week playing "at this time last week I was........" It's hard not to think of at this time 2 weeks ago we were at the port.

I got really upset last night driving home from work when I realized that two weeks ago, I was racing home to pack! I'm definitely swuffering from PCD (post cruise depression) this time around. So much so that we're toying with a Thanksgiving cruise for this November . . . .

JoAnn #2,

We are still talking about the great FE gifts you made. DH used the bookmark right away and I put the soap in my drawer to make my clothes smell sweet. We really enjoyed meeting you and Aaron and the girls.

By "toying" she means that we're going to go, and only she doesn't know it, yet. :)

I'm not waiting another year for Palo scallops.

Ah hah hah! Us, too. :) In fact, I just finished final negotiations for all the FE gifts. In the end, I walked off with the bookmark, one card, the keychain, and a necklace for my traveling collectibles shelf. She, however, got to keep the grab bag contents, including the awesome box, and the coasters. She also told me she was scrapbooking the info sheets. :)

You are so lucky. I'll be home watching my DH make dinner. God bless him and his fabulous turkey skills.

John is attempting Palo's Stollen recipe this afternoon

I'm trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) to find the recipe for the scones in Palo. I have no problem with recipes for all the restaurants, but the cruise ship's menu escapes me. :(
