Wendy,

So glad you had a great time at the party. Can't wait to see you!

Hey JoAnn1 - what's 'ST'? Where are you going in 15 days? I am very jealous and I don't even know where you are going!!!!!!!!!!:confused3

(JoAnn #1) is heading to St. Thomas....to get the island ready for us!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Speaking of St. Thomas - Can anyone explain why the excursion to Trunk Bay is limited to ages 5 and up?

That doesn't make any sense.....any age can enjoy Trunk Bay......go on your own, it will be cheaper and you can bring all the kids.........YES, I'm doing research for our cruise in two weeks!!! Just Ken & I are having a mini-trip (our first since the baby went to college).......:dance3:

OK so I made it through the day and am no longer crying. I'm so glad I did not have to work today i would have never made it. Thanks for all of ya'lls thoughts.

Lissa

I don't know if it the schedule will match the current Eastern Caribbean schedule - just replacing St Croix with Tortola - but if it does here's the schedule from a navigator I saw:

Saturday: Embarkation, Sailaway Party, Casual
Sunday: Day at Sea, Golden Mickeys, Formal
Monday: Day at Sea, Twice Charmed, Casual
Tuesday: Tortola, Pirate Party, Pirate/Casual
Wednesday: St Thomas, Comedy Show, Casual
Thursday: Day at Sea, Disney Dreams, Semi-formal
Friday: Castaway Cay, Remember the Magic, Casual
Saturday: Disembarkation

Perfect! Thanks, this is just what I was looking for!

Lissa, I'm sorry about your cat. I remember how hard it was to put our dog down. They become such a part of our lives.

OK, getting a flight for this trip was such a pain. Normally we fly Midwest airlines out of Milwaukee. I have tons of miles because I used this airline for all my travel in my former position. When fuel prices went sky high Midwest cut a bunch of flights. One of the destinations the reduced was to MCO, no more summer flights. Dang! So I found a reasonable fare on Northwest. Oh, the nice thing about Midwest is that it was a direct flight :cool1: . The NW flight has a layover in Memphis but not too long. But we leave Milwaukee at 6:35 am (we are an hour away from the airport):coffee:

Well I just received an email that they've changed our flights. Now we leave Milwaukee at 6:00 am (a half hour that early is huge!). But the big problem is our return flight. It now leaves at 6:30 am. This is a problem, we will be eating breakfast on the ship at this time.:sad2: Well I just got off the phone with them and they were pretty good about switching us, now we leave at 1:30 pm which works but we will be spending lots of time at MCO. Oh well, at least they didn't charge us to change the flight.

Now if I could just convince dh to go over to Milwaukee the night before we leave....

I highly recommend that you stay overnight, tell your hubby...............this way you'll enjoy your trip more and get some more sleep on the way out....

Hi all!

We're just back from a few days in the hill country visiting RCCL cruise friends. The kids had a great time experiencing country life. Feeding the baby goats and driving! :scared1: It was the little gator/work tractor thingy around the farm, they had a blast! their smiles were huge! I'll have to post pictures later.

Off to get laundry started.

Saturday night and no better place to spend it than on the DISboards with my new DISer friends!:grouphug: :grouphug:

noahsmom....IF you can at all swing it - I would come in Friday night....it would give you much 'piece of mind' knowing you are in Florida the night before....stay at the airport and catch the bus to the ship the next morning...you'll be nice and relaxed. I always worry about my luggage making it on time (and myself!)....spending time at MCO - so are we - our flight leaves at 1:15, if you are flying out of the Southwest terminal, we can have a post-cruise depressing party!

Last night my son had his first volleyball game....it was fun to watch, and no they did not win, but who cares....I got to sit with a bunch of moms and chat all night (what Lucy does best!):lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Lissa - so sorry to hear about your loss.

Jenny (jfis1020) comes home from Florida tomorrow - I believe Susan is in Florida too?????:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

My days of cafeteria duty are over for awhile. I was supposed to work on Monday in the cafeteria but my job was cancelled - I am NOT SAD!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So, JoAnn #2....what does African pizza like?:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Monica - I am also doing a week's worth of laundry and I wasn't visiting a farm....you know you are getting old (I'm talking about ME) when you are doing laundry on a Saturday night instead of being out and about.

My DH and I DID clean out our high school's costume closet for about 4 hours today....this hasn't been done in YEARS....man, the stuff we found in there...we need one more day in the costume closet and it will finally be organized. It was kindof neat seeing some of the costumes and remembering the shows, especially the ones our kids were in....we did a fabulous Beauty and the Beast and AIDA (reminder, my DH directs our high school shows) 2 and 3 years ago and the costumes were perfect. Both of us are now very stiff from bending, stretching, boxing all the stuff....old age is NOT fun!:sad2:

noahsmom - I just read this over on the Disney cruise line forum board:
(i think you better show this to your husband!):scared1:

We were in Virginia beach and saw an RCL ship leaving dock approximately 5:00pm. We saw several families run up to the terminal at about 4:05. They had to board by 4:00. They were turned away. One family had driven from New Jersy and said they had some car trouble earlier. I don't know if that was true but I could have cried watching those people turn around with their luggage. One of the RCL crew told us this happens all the time This is my worst nightmare. We always get there the day before. I'm just curious if any of you all have seen this happen when boarding DCL?

good night:grouphug:

WOO HOOO!!!! It's BAAACK!!! :cool1::worship::worship::worship::worship:

So, what's the upgrade? Seems a lot slower to me....:confused3

Of course, it comes back just minutes before I need to be in bed!!!! I have to work tomorrow morning! :scared1::scared1:

So, JoAnn #2....what does African pizza like?:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Thin crust - VERY THIN crust.

And I swear I'm not being facetious. You can't get thick or even hand-tossed crust here. Of course, there's no real pepperoni either - so I've gotten used to ham, cheese, mushroom and artichoke...:flower3:

This scared the begeeezes out of me! Thank goodness we are getting there 3 days early! Of course, we still have to get from the land of mouse to the ship of mouse on Saturday morning...:scared:

Okay, just one more before I go to bed...

(I didn't go into DIS withdrawal today at all.... ;) Honest!) :rotfl::lovestruc

Anyway - just wanted to go on record to say - No fair going for the next pirate while Joann is SLEEPING!

At least make it a fair chase. pirate:

Come on people. She doesn't need any real stories to scare her. Her imagination is scary enough.
