The stuff you ER people have to go through is amazing! It makes my teaching job look quite boring!

Merry Christmas to all!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday........I'm sleeping for a week after this!!:goodvibes

first, i'm sorry you are working today and can't be with family. :sad1: :sad1: What would people come to ER for? burnt hands from making dinner (ok, i admit, i've burnt myself before, but never needed ER - knock on wood)....:scared1:
kids shooting their eyes out:scared1: (from The Christmas Story...told 'ya my DH would be watching it 24 hours - although he did change the channel to Top Chef, after the Disney parade).

did you have a busy day? i hope not.:grouphug:

Good for you JoJo! You deserve it!

Where's Lucy today?????

She was here earlier, I guess she's still enjoying her holiday.........how Christmas??

One of the most enjoyable Christmas' ever! The kids are so into their new laptops. Mark has watched movies all day in his newly renovate "Man Cave" with new furniture (thank you very much!):happytv: I am piddling in my newly arranged office! We have met occasionally for meals!:rotfl:

Ok, I have to share my "big" gift.........so the last thing, I received was my car key chain a gift bag - weird, right? , so I'm thinking, "I couldn't be getting a car, did Ken give me a new key chain?":rotfl: So the family walks me out to the driveway.........drum roll................it wasn't a car............Ken hooked up my car so that I can turn it on inside the house on the cold winter days!!

A few days ago, Ken took my car and said the dealer had a recall, I was so mad, I was like........can't this wait until after Christmas!!! I was so annoyed! It was him getting my car reconfigured!! :woohoo:

That is soooo cool. (I mean hot - especially getting out of school and having to go into a frigid car!!!!):lmao:

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

My highlight was my 3 in 1 North Face coat from the fam.   I LOVED IT!! Mark was so proud of it and all we heard all day was about the "cute little sales girl at Dick's Sporting Goods" that convinced him to buy it! :rolleyes1 She told him it was "in style"...I guess I should thank her!:worship: LIfe in a college town.........:rotfl:

Anyone else??????

When we lived in Canada - I loved my remote starter!!! 2nd favorite accessory - heated seats! (Ironically, those were on my car I purchased in Houston - but, loved' em down here too!!!)

my favorite gifts - clothes from my favorite exercise/active wear shops - lucy and lululemon :woohoo:

I'd have to guess the kids' favorite gifts are their bathrobes - they've been wearing them constantly. Maggie received a Chicago Cubs robe and Mike received a Houston Astros robe.

We're heading downtown with my parents to use their gift today - tickets to see "A Christmas Carol" at our regional theatre - They always put on very good shows and their sets are amazing - so, I can't wait to see it.

Merry Christmas to all! I'm working today - can't believe what patients will come into the ER for on Christmas....

Hoping all you had to deal with is minor illness/injuries of the "I'm lonely and need attention" variety yesterday!!!

I can guess what some of the ERs had to deal with in our area  :sad2: A Texas Christmas tradition is shooting guns in the air on Christmas. There is always at least one tragedy reported in the newspaper.

You'll have to swap stories with my brother when you meet in July - he's an EMT in the ER at McNeill Hospital just outside of Chicago. He had to work 2nd shift yesterday.

Thanks for all the great stories............anyone else!!:goodvibes

I'm so beat today.........I'm just trying to make myself go to the gym......:yay:

Just sitting here taking a rest. I have cleaned myself into a frenzy! There is so much trash outside my house the trash man will run the other way! :lmao: I STILL haven't gotten my house back together after the beginning of the "Man Cave" renovations! We gutted that room on Dec. 11th and it's still not all back where it goes!:worship:

We are sitting in the "Man Cave" watching Ohio State and W. Virginia. Nothing like when the Buckeyes get whipped!:rotfl: Tomorrow Marshall is taking me to the Indiana basketball game. Talking about a "TERRIBLE" program! :rolleyes1

What's on everyone else's agenda? We leave for Ohio on Wed. Time to go and visit MIL/FIL.......:scared1:

Just back from "Marley and Me".........very cute family movie, I really liked it..........we just working thru the leftovers here and avoiding the shopping malls and food stores! :thumbsup2

What do you think about M&M seeing Marley & Me? They love to go to the movies, but I heard it was really a tear jerker. Those two are so sensitive so I was afraid of them going. All three saw "Bedtime Stories" this weekend and LOVED IT! Mark and I don't go to the movies, but the kids do.

Well, it was really good, I don't want to say too much, but it was a nice family movie. I could really relate to it having had 3 kids. It was handled really well.:confused3 I'm not a dog person, but Marley made me laugh a few times. Ken and the younger two girls felt it was slow moving, though. The married couple does a lot of kissing in the beginning but that's about it.

I've been checking out our excursions on the DCL site......does anyone know what they're doing yet?:confused3

Thanks for mentioning it JoAnn. I didn't realize they were up on the site yet. I'm sure we'll do some sightseeing tour as we like to get a feel of the general place wherever we go. I'll talk to Tom and see if we can narrow it down some.
