Very depressed.......no Survivor tonight........

Since I haven't ever seen this, is it about teacher getting through a school year with a "rough bunch"???

We got a call at 5:40 this morning that school is closed. It's not even snowing yet!

I should be frantically cleaning today - depending on the weather, my parents should be in tonight or tomorrow morning. They called last night and stopped about 10 hours out from Houston. They will be in Houston for 3 weeks, escaping the Chicago area weather.

Maggie is home feeling blah, both yesterday and today. (1/2 day today, not missing too much) We were both lazy, she climbed into bed with me and we watched "Christmas in Connecticut" and "Annie." Now, I'm trying to get motivated to get busy.

Our big family dinner which John cooks, will end up being Sunday with John's Aunt, Uncle and cousins. We usually get together on Christmas Eve (and still will) but, John is working the Christmas Eve services, so it was easier to move it to Sunday afternoon. We'll still get together on Christmas Eve, but it'll be missing John and one of his newly married cousins.

We did go to school today, nothing fell from the sky, then, at 8:45, it hit!
I worked the high school office today, answering phones, very unhappy parents that we had school, but what could we do, no snow/ice falling until after they were in school......we were dismissed at 11:00 - day does NOT need to be made up! I hope all the buses and drivers made it home safely - lots of ice!

My parents arrived last night - we've spent this morning discussing cruise stuff, going over shore excursions and even watching the travel channel show on DCL - we saved it when it was on earlier this month.
