Now you see how it works. We've only 99 posts to go to our next pirate:

Ahoy matey.

Just bumping us up. Where is everyone?

I'm here, getting ready for more snow! OK, I love a white Christmas. Christmas is over, it can all go away now. :sad2: Oh well, another 3-5 inches due tomorrow.

Lots of rain here. I really wish the sun would come for a little while. DS was sick 2 nights ago so I was up for about an hour and 1/2 with him. Some stomach problems. I was very cranky yesterday.

We're going into NYC today to see the tree and possible go to the world of Disney store.

Good Morning Everyone!

We had a nice Christmas - Christmas Eve was spent with dh John's aunt, uncle and cousins. John fixed a pork crown roast with ancho chili stuffing, wild rice stuffing with apples and walnuts, and peppermint cheesecake for dessert. Christmas Day was nice and casual - the kids opened their "big" gifts of cell phones. Our family gift we "opened" in November when we finally joined the modern era and installed cable. Christmas afternoon, we spent with friends and had our traditional "leftover" Christmas dinner - heating up the leftovers from our respective dinners.

I'm taking advantage of dh on vacation and subbing a bunch of classes at the Y this week. I'm off this morning to teach 3 more. Nice, except for the fact I get to teach water aerobics outdoors - the air temp is currently 50.... brrr...

I'll be on-line for 24 hours.....
in WDW
heading out to Animal Kingdom for lunch at new restaurant - Yak & Yeti
I promise to give a report later today - you can't stay in a park very long - crowds are AWFUL - but since we will be back next summer - and come down here twice a year-the rides really don't matter this time - the decorations are beautiful - did anyone see pictures of the castle? Absolutely beautiful!

be back later...

DCL called this afternoon...It's official! we'll be in room 6560 :)

We're also accepting donations....the prices sure did jump up quite a bit from our 07 trip :sad1:

Our first official pirate: !

I hereby call you:

Captain Fluffypirate: ARGH!

Congrats on our first official pirate: :sad2: Wish I was there to fight for it!:rotfl:

Here's our official pirate: list:

100 Mrs. G

Let the games begin!

We just returned from NYC, we just saw The Little Mermaid. It was a great treat and Christmas present. The crowds were worse than WDW! Glad to be home, now to clean up some of the Christmas mess! How's everyone spending New year's?:dance3:

The crowds were worse than WDW!
You should have seen the crowds at the Nintendo store today (I hate that store). It was so hot and crowded. There was a line to get in when we first got there (they had just gotten a shipment of Wii's) so we went to the WOD store first. DS found 2 25th anniversary Epcot pins there.

No plans for New Year's. Last year our idiot neighbors set off some type of explosive firecracker outside our house at midnight (we were all asleep). It lit up the whole street. Finally settled back down about 20 minutes later and they did it again. I was so mad. I hope they got it out of their system. It really freaks the dog out and DS is very sensitive to loud, sudden noises.

I'll take you on with that statement "worse than Disneyworld" - we are here NOW and the crowds are horrible. I'm not complaining - we knew they would be like that. We came for the decorations and restaurants. (you know how this family likes to eat!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ) The Yak and Yeti was awesome - please, everyone, if you get here next year - try this restaurant....we couldn't use our Dining Experience Discount card (not Disney owned) but we were able to get a 10% discount with either the annual pass or DVC card. Everything we tried was excellent - Bob LOVED his dessert (he was the only one that ordered dessert, but of course the rest of the family ate it up) - cream cheese wontons with ice cream and strawberries and pineapple. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Today we have lunch in Germany, tomorrow we have lunch in Mexico (MAN, this "travelling is tiring" - ha!ha!ha!ha!
We head home New Year's EVE Day.

Welcome to the new member of our group:cool1: :yay:

Welcome and Happy New Years to all.....................we were in AC tonight for the Fergie concert, too fun!! .........................just a year and a half to go.....................:cool1:

As of now we have no plans for NYE. It's supposed to snow again so that's a great reason to just stay home. We are about 3 inches away from setting a new December snowfall record - yippee. :scared1: We are going grocery shopping this afternoon, I must make sure we have some rum in the house so we can drink rum, watch the snow and dream of Castaway cay! :beach:

we had Wendy's on the way home from the airport (only fast food open in our area).....our flight was 25 minutes early getting into Philadelphia (LOVE AirTran), AND, our luggage arrived with us (LOVE Magical Express!).

My husband is already at work (started at 8 AM - retail, you know).
Now, the LONG winter is ahead of us....hopefully we can plan a weekend in NYC with the Lawalls....winter is this family's least favorite season.

Happy 2008:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Tara's leaving for Germany in 3 hours, I've cleaned for her trip today!:confused3 Found a lot of toiletries so I'm not buying her any! I'm actually excited for her now............Happy New Year to all!!:goodvibes
