Hello Cindy

How are you? Looking forward to Wonder Cruise as it won't be long.

Our cruise won't be long well and we are happy that kids got off at school at last. It was difficult to get them out of school as it was our first time.

They warned us not do it again in future:confused3

Keith is over the moon now and he is looking forward to.

Greetings Scottishwee - from Indiana,
Hey I just noticed that you and Cindy's family will literally be passing each other on the Wonder....how crazy is that.

We took all 6 of our kids out of school last year for our 4 night with DW's Parents - Her Father has been diagnosed with a life limiting illness and we felt it was time to make a memory. The schools objected -- but we reminded them that the reason our kids excel is because they have a strong family connection that invests time into them....sometimes I have to admit that at least in our school systems in america - while I am all for the efforts to reach the at risk kids ( and we must not stop reaching them ) - they forget that every child needs investment and cannot take for granted that strong family is the key. Sometimes I feel like I am fighting the system for my family....does that make sense? Anyhow...all that to say - good for you! Have a great time and know that every memory deposited is way more valueable than just another lesson in school.
So there is my soapbox for the day :goodvibes

Have a great day

Ben

Hi everyone...
Do you remember just one year ago?
For the most of us, it's one year ago since we met for the first time, and we went off for an unforgetable cruise...

We still' have to wait one year 'till our next cruise with DCL: we do a 7-night western Carribean cruise next year end of july.

Hope that everything is well with all of you, and have a magical day!!!!

Grts from a rainy Belgium...

do you remember us?, i'm from spain with a little boy called david.

i talked to you about your web-page.

it was a great cruise, it was fantastic, we want to do a western cruise too but we don't know when.

can you do something for me?, i'm in another forum in spain about disney, and disneyland paris, can you tell me when you know, news and secrets or things like that, when you know about them to post it in this forum?

we can talk. thank you.

Hello DLRPfan.be

Oh yes, I cannot believe that one year ago today that we were on the Med Disney Cruise was awesome.

My family and I went to Florida for Panama Disney Cruise last two months ago and it was fabulous times. But I think Med Cruise was best as more actitivies. But it was so great to watch at Panama Canal and the weather was fabulous until last two days turn to colder when we arrived to LA, weather was cold in the morning then hot in afternoon then chilly at night.

We booked dummies dates for next year for 24th October for Eastern cruise but we don't think we go there as we are hoping to move it to 2010. Last Cruise, I have spoked Brent on the cruise with an interpreter and I told him that I thought that next year would be Northern Europe but he said hopeful in 2010 but cannot guarantee yet. So we wait to hear end of this year.

Now the flight go up very expensive nowaday and everything petrol, foods, are very expensive now.:sad2: Don't think we afford next year.

Hope you all are well.

From Rainy Scotland ::yes:: ;)

Oh yes, I remember you, your wife and little David, he must be grown up now.

Hope you all are well.

i have been reminiscing a lot about our cruise lately. got out the scapbook and went through all pics last night. we are booked for carnival cruise in november leaving out of home town of san diego to mexico - will be easier and cheaper than flying 1st since we have a 4 &1/2 mo old baby boy now in addition to a 3 y-o girl. found out we were pregnant on one of last days of cruise actually. i brought a test with me. he was 4 &1/2 wks early but healthy. booked on disney western caribbean cruise May 2009 with 2 other families and will do one week disneyworld with my parents prior. i haven't been to wdw for 20 years!

good to hear from fellow former disers!

We've been doing the "this time last year..." trip down memory lane, too. What a wonderful opportunity we had and how great it was to meet so many of you all and share that experience - I know for us that the new friends we made really added to our trip.

We have booked the Christmas Cruise on DCL for this winter, but ssshhhh... it's a surprise from N and Z - they don't know about it and I am hoping to keep it a complete surprise! We have booked the same cabin we had on the Med cruise - in fact, we liked that location so much that when we had our 3-nights on the Wonder in April, we booked that same cabin then. So I guess you could say we now consider 6116 to be "our" cabin.

Hope you all are well.

I know several of us are awaiting the announcement today of the 2010 summer itineraries -- that would be so cool if some of us were to sail together again!

Hello

Ian and I were looking now as I just back from working.

We decide that we go again on 18th July 2010 to Batlic

so we are talking about it

I was just noticing that there was a July 18th sailing so that is definitely on our list - it seems right to have a July 18th sail date, doesn't it? I haven't had a chance to talk to Gary since the announcement came out, but we will likely do either a pre- or post-stay in London.

Oh wow! I was looking at the July 18 date as well! It would be so fun to have a reunion on board ship in Europe!! Glad to see everyone here..let's keep in touch as the booking date draws near for us October 14!

I was looking more carefully at the itinerary yesterday evening and saw that Helskinki was just on two of the sailings. My grandmother was from Finland and I am 1/4 Finnish, so I wanted to go to Helsinki as well -- so when I realized Helsinki wasn't on the 18th but on th 6th, we decided that July 6th would be the one we wanted, too. If we can't go then, we won't go, because the June date is too early for us.

When I first saw Mediterranean, I was hopeful that it would include the Eastern Med -- if it went to Venice, then that's what we would've done because Nathan wants to go there. We promised him if we haven't been before he graduates high school, we will go for his high school graduation trip.

We are definitely planning a few days both before and after in London. We wish we had done that for Barcelona as we were so exhausted on the day we arrived and by the time the logistics were worked out at the hotel, it was late in the afternoon before we got to head out to see anything of the city.

I'm excited!

Hi there in sunny Spain! A bit late response, but I only noticed your entry today :-(
We are doing a western cruise next year departing july 25th. and we are considering a cruise in 2010: july 30th. : departing in Dover and going to Barcelona....
And the "biggest news from Disneyland Paris: They "upgraded" the Halloween festivities with a new parade, new shows, and for the first time in Europe: the "Mickey's not so scarry Halloween party": We're going in just two weeks
Grts to everyone else on this thread !!!! :cheer2:

It took DCL long enough but we're finally gonna get to Venice by going back to the Med this summer. I was scrolling back through this thread and thinking of how much we've learned about traveling since we originally went 6 years ago. Anyone else out there still? Anyone else sailing the Med this summer?

We still continue thecruise with DCL after this cruise Med Cruise.... Panama Canal, Dover to Barcelona, then Freedom of the Seas at Eastern Caribbean..

Afraid so that we are sailing from Venice, Greek, Turkey this July but not with DCL:sad2: But we booked 14 days cruise from Barcelona to San Juan next year:banana:

In september we do the Alaskan one, and also considering seriously the transatlantic from Barcelona in 2014. And last week, we visited Venice for 3 days with some friends...

We have great memories of that trip! Celebrated our 25th
This year we are returning - and we are doing the Venice thing as well but we are going in Oct on Celebrity ( I almost feel like a trader :) But the timing and price point was not working for us.

We did take the Magic last year ( their first 4 night in like 10 years ) with extended family - and as it turned out our first return to the magic since the med but what made it so very special this time was that my wife had just returned from nicaragua with our 2 newest girls 4 and 8. That was a pretty special trip as well!
Blessings you all

How wonderful that you have some amazing itineraries ahead. We did the Freedom of the Seas Eastern Caribbean in 2009 - it's a beautiful ship and a fun itinerary. If DCL hadn't set an itinerary for Venice, we would have been sailing on another cruiseline but probably not until next summer. We opted for this summer just in case they didn't go back.

Ah, I would love to do the Panama Canal - on my "bucket list" - I need to plan a trip through.

We are so excited about Venice. We're doing a DCL excursion to Murano and Burano, and then we're doing a Secret Itinerary tour of Doge's Palace - then just wandering around to see what we can see. It's an overnight stop which I'm seriously stoked about.

Congratulations on the expansion of your family - what a wonderful way to celebrate!

We aren't exclusive to DCL and as the boys are getting older (this will be Nathan's last year to participate in the youth activities), that opens up more opportunities for us. We sailed on the Carnival Dream for Christmas 2011 and loved it so much that we're doing it again this Christmas - same itinerary, same cabin - it goes to Belize, Honduras, Cozumel and Costa Maya.

DH and I are thinking about adding River cruises to our wish list for when the boys are out of the house and we don't feel obligated to take them on vacation with us (LOL).
