Hi everyone!
Can't believe it has been four months since our cruise. It feels like it was just yesterday. That may be because we have picutres up everywhere. I even have some up in my classroom as posters. Deborah thanks for posting the pics they look great. Hope everyone is well.

Nice to hear from some of you once in a while here!

We signed up yesterday for the 2008 DVC Member Cruise which will be next September 21. We will add on some days at BWV for the Food and Wine Festival too.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Hugs...

Hello Everybody

Hope you all are keeping well.

Wonder about 2009 had been announcement yesterday.

My husband said NO more Disney Cruise after May 08.:sad2:

Becasuse 2009 look good but another long flight.

But we wait until next year to see what the planning for 2010/2011.

Wonder if anyone have been booking for 2009?

We have booked for 2009, and our wonderful TA got us one of those illusive secret porthole rooms :goodvibes

We are going on the 3-night wonder cruise on 3rd September, just before she goes into dry dock for 3 weeks. We have booked the land and sea package, so we're off to POR for 4 nights before the cruise too.

Now all I have to do is save up the money to pay for it! LOL!

Hope everyone is well

Milia

Milia - how WONDERful for you - I know you've been wanting to plan this trip for a while!

We're skipping DCL in 2009 but since we have two in 2008, I guess that'll be ok (hee hee). We'd like to do an eastern Med. cruise at some point in either 2009 or 2010 so we're looking at RCCL.

Hi everyone! We've decided what our next Cruise will be: a 7-night Western Caribbean Cruise. We will leave on july 20th. 2009 to stay 5 days at WDW, and then the cruise... Yes, something to look forward to!
Greets to you all!!!! pirate:

Sounds like fun! We're in count-down mode for our 3-night on the Wonder in April to celebrate Gary's birthday and his getting to 30-yrs on his job! We are interested to see the comparison between the Magic and the Wonder.

Hey Cindy,

We went on the wonder - last sept with our kids and in laws to make a cool memory - now my f-i-law is taking his entire family 29 in all :) this sept!

Its funny the wonder gets a little hirer rating on forums like cruise critic but I kinda liked the magic better. I think it was because the 10 day felt more like you could just chill. On our 4 night we got rained out on castaway cay and so we went back another day! That was really cool. Nassau....well this year I wont even get off the ship if that tells you anything. Castaway Cay is amazing! We just had a ball.

You will notice the differences in decor in some areas but really the ship is identical in layout - so for us it was easy to get back in the grove - except that I kept wanting to go back to the wrong floor for our room :)

The kids absolutely loved the wonder - but they did not come with us on the med - I think your kids were with you right?

The service - well I thought they were even better in that they have more rotation on the wonder and the crew was just as engaging and our waiters had our names nailed by the second meal!

Have a great time
Ben

Judah - we solved the issue of having to remember where our Cabin will be on the Wonder by booking the same Cabin number that we had on the Med. Cruise. We were in 6116 and absolutely loved the location. So we have it booked for the Wonder in April and again on the Magic for Christmas!

Do you guys remember this time last year???? We were just finding out about excursions and waist-deep in planning for the Med.... that has been the absolute BEST vacation I have ever had - although the boys (especially nathan) remind me of how much I pushed them with all those early excursions. Next time we'll do things differently about that....

Hope you all are well.

Hi Cindy,
I think I may have called you nancy on my last post...sorry about that - yes to be honest one of the reasons I got back on the board was that I am just really tired of winter and just thinking about the med trip makes me smile. You know dw and I would love to take that trip again but it doesn't look like its on the radar anytime soon for dcl:confused: It was an amazing time - tiring but now ds and I just visit the olive garden to look at the pictures and see how many places look familiar!

Looks like you solved the room dilemma with wisdom! By now you guys should be getting yourselfs pysched up to go - Hope you have a great time!

Blessings
Ben

That's funny because we do that, too! And one of the things we remember from being driven around the Italian countryside was all the olive trees. I was fascinated by the way they put the nets under the trees to catch the olives as they ripen so that they won't get bruised. I was wishing they had done that beneath pecan trees where I grew up in south Georgia and spent one fall picking up pecans from the ground - it would've been nicer with a waist-level net :)

We are looking forward to our short cruise on the Wonder although we know it will seem like we've just boarded when we have to get off. I'll be sure to post a link to our trip report once we return. This will be in celebration of DH's 30-yr-anniversary with his job and also his birthday.

Hello Cindy

How are you? Looking forward to Wonder Cruise as it won't be long.

Our cruise won't be long well and we are happy that kids got off at school at last. It was difficult to get them out of school as it was our first time.

They warned us not do it again in future:confused3

Keith is over the moon now and he is looking forward to.
