Hello DLRPfan.be

It is lovely to hear from you

Your friend must be lucky to have a good price but don't forget that they have to pay for flight home? ;)

Yes, we had a wonderful times on Magic Cruise as lucky that we had a good weather so far. As the cruise after we left that they had two bad last days - pour of raining!!:rolleyes1

Anyway, we had a awful summer in Scotland!! But turn out that we had an indian weather in August and September!!

One week tom, I am off to Spain with 6 girls for my friend's 40th Brithday for four nights.:woohoo: :yay:

Finger cross for Disney Cruise might come back in 2009 in Northern Europe and hope we meet again!

Hope you are well.

Take Care

Oh so nice to hear from you both on this thread. I find myself looking for it every so often. It was nice to make friends on our spectacular Med cruise and share so much of the planning here on the DIS.

I also hope for another European DCL cruise and will keep watching for it. Next summer will be be in WDW for 10 nights - at Vero Beach for 2 and then 8 nights in a BWV with Boardwalk view!

Till then, we will dream. Unless something exciting comes along and we make more plans. Take care everyone...

Carol we are also hoping for another European cruise. I keep stalking the cruise website waiting for them to start offering 2009 cruises. I know it's early but still hopeing. We are looking forward to next August and the Mexican Reviara. Hope everyone is well!

Lissa, will you be combining a visit to Disneyland too? We just got back a couple of weeks ago from DL and had a great time. In fact, we picked up AP's just so we could make another trip within a year.

We are all well here..hope you are good too!

Hello old friends! I haven't spent much time over here on the boards since we got back from our trip. Maybe I'm in denial that it's over? I'm still working on our trip report / photos which is making the trip last a bit longer, and we find ourselves thinking about something from the trip every few days.

It seems like they announced the summer-2007 itinerary in early 2006 (I remember in late 2005 that the Med was still a rumor), so I'm thinking early 2008 is when they'll announce summer 2009.

We're doing a 3-night in April combined with a pre-cruise stay at WDW (Saratoga Springs) and hopefully will be seeing Angie (Minneapolis_Mickey) and her family while there. My younger DS still talks about playing with her older DS in the Lab. It was so nice to have a new friend to meet before we even boarded the ship.

Then for Christmas 2008, we're sailing with Disney again -- it seems so very far away - and in fact we actually booked it further in advance than we did the Med trip. We haven't told the children yet about the Christmas 2008 one - and I am hopeful that I can keep it a secret as it doesn't take as much planning as the Med. did.

In the meanwhile, we're just fully-entrenched in school and work and saving $$ to support our DCL-addiction.

Hope you all are well and will "check in" every now and then just to say "hi".

Carol yes we will be combining a trip to DL both before and after. My mom has been but Matt and I haven't so I think i'm looking forward to that part as much as the cruise.

Cindy my family and I just talked about doing a cruise Christmas 2008. Thinking since we are doing WDW this Christmas that might be fun. Are ya'll doing a 7 or a 3 night?

Lissa

I'm so jealous of you all planning your next hols. I'm not going to be able to do another DCL cruise until 2009 at the earliest... We have rebooked for December 2008 but are going to have to shift the ressie when they release 2009 dates. Just a 3 nighter I think, we want to see what the Wonder has to offer.

On the plus side, I'm having great fun planning all the cool things I'm going to do when next time I head to Florida :cool1: Pete has never been to WDW before, so it will be extra exciting for him... :wizard:

Glad everyone in well

Lissa - we're doing the 7-night, so we'll actually be on board on Christmas day. Thankfully the kids will be at the age where they won't be expecting much under the tree and will be great with having an amazing trip instead of more "stuff." We've spoiled them with traveling, but hey, my mom says I was born with my suitcase packed :) My motto is "have toothbrush, will travel" and I hope I'm instilling that same love into my children.

We are still looking at when we can exchange some DVC points to get up to Asheville - I looked at that property you and your mom were telling us about online and it looks lovely.

Oh how wonderful! I know you all will have a marvelous time!

Cindy the 7 night cruise was the one we were thinking about. Let me know if and when ya'll decide to come to Asheville. There are so many fun things to do with kids.

Our weather has finally cooled off. I can fill fall in the air and can not wait for the leaves to change colors.

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well!
Here the "normal" life is back: busy times!
But we still are thinking about the great cruise we had! So we're plannin' "something" in 2009. Is there already someone who also makes cruiseplans in 2009, and do you know already something more about the cruises DCL is planning?

Greets from a sunny Belgium!

I don't think the 2009 DCL itineraries have been released, but I'm all about planning ahead. We have a 3-day scheduled for April on the Wonder and then a week-long in December 2008 for the holidays that we booked about as soon as we were able to... in fact, we'll end up waiting for that one longer than we did for the Med. cruise.

I'm still sorting through pictures and posting some of them in my blog (see signature). I'm up to Pompeii (which was what? only our 2nd port?). But what is so cool is seeing things or hearing things that reference Italy or southern France, etc. We saw Mr. Bean's Holiday just because he was going to southern France and we had BEEN THERE!

Nathan's science teacher is in Italy this week and was going to Rome, Pisa and Florence. Nathan was able to tell him how cool it was to climb the leaning tower.

My 12 y.o. niece is obsessed with Pompeii so she was very excited to see the pictures we took (and we had well over 100 shots). That was so fun to have her looking at the pictures and RECOGNIZING what she saw just based on what she's read about Pompeii.

We are trying to decide between a cruise in 2009 or doing a Adventure by Disney trip to Italy. It will just depend where DCL is going in 2009. Right now we are planning our Aug.08 Mexican Reviara cruise.

Hello Everybody

As we have decorating at our house in Olivia's bedroom and diningroom/kitchen. All done as we are on one week holiday as no abroad like Tenerife or Cyprus which we normally go in October. But Not this year :sad1:

Olivia will be 8 on 19th.

We save up the money for Panama Canal Cruise on May 08, that is why.

We heard the rumour about 2009 that it will be Alaska?:sad2: as we are disappointed because another long flight again. We were hoping for Northern Europe. However, we wait and see until Dec to hear the disney announcement. Some said Alaska, Hong Kong and Carbibbean. I understand that lots of people want to go to Alaska but surely not for the kids? Maybe I am wrong I don't know.

Cannot believe that nearly 9 weeks to go for :santa:

Hope you all are keeping well.

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

Hey guys

Hope you are all well and that you are enjoying yourselves. Pete and I are in the throws of deciding whether we can afford a trip to the U S of A next year to visit his cousins in Miami and then spend a week with the mouse in WDW. Pete has never been so I'm itching to take him. We won't know until Jan whether we can go though and the suspense is killing me!!!

At the moment we have a december 2008 3 day booked, but I am thinking of switching that to a 7 day once 2009 dates are released. Has anyone cruised in September? It's basically the only time of year we'd be able to go in 2009 but the possibility of hurricanes are putting me off a bit.

Milia :)

Hi everyone! Glad to see some of you still posting on here. I look back on our Med pics and can't believe it is all over now.

We took a weekend trip to Boston/New Hampshire to visit some friends and family which was nice. Nothing now till July 2008 when we go to Vero Beach and WDW.

Had not heard 2009 rumor about Alaska. I would actually consider that one, but problem is DCL does not have an indoor pool which most ships do that cruise to Alaska. I do prefer warm climates, lol.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

We were looking at the Adv. by Disney and for most of what they have for Italy, we're like "been there, done that." hee hee - that felt so nice to be able to say :)

As for sailing in Sept and worrying about hurricanes, one thing to know is that the ships do generally sail around the weather but that means your ports would vary (or maybe totally miss a port) and also that the seas would likely be rougher... but then it might be like this Sept when we didn't really have any rough weather in September in the Caribbean (compared to other years).

BTW, we had something cool happen today -- we're at WDW this weekend as the kids are out of school today and the boys were both wearing their Med. Cruise t-shirts. We were getting on at the Jungle Cruise when the CM noticed the shirts and asked if we had been able to go on the cruise - he was so excited to hear that we had and expressed how glad he was that we'd been able to have that experience. That was cool to have their shirts noticed.

We'd be interested in doing the Eastern Med. I can see why Disney did the Western Med after looking at the Adv. by Disney offerings - I imagine they use the same tour-providers for both. We were thinking about the one that goes from London to Paris and then just adding on some days to go to DL-Paris, but that's pretty far out in the future for us since we have a 7-day in Dec. 2008 (that I still haven't told the boys about).
