Sorry, but I really want to be a Mouseketeer before we set sail.

I know I'm losing it.

Only about 20 some odd posts and you will be there. :Pinkbounc Keep the posts coming. :thumbsup2

I, like you, will be overpacking. I have some clothes out now set aside, but I need to organize it all somehow. I am so worried about getting allthe documentation in the right place at this point. I think this weekend my goal will be to pack all of the day bag stuff.

Oh, I have a very important question. I have those little bottles of rum to mix with sodas, you know, the teenie ones. Should I pack these in my carry on? Am I really allowed to bring them on the plane? Not that they cost a bunch, but I would hate for them to get confiscated or something....or have to chugalug before getting on the plane; although, that does not sound like a bad idea. I am not looking forward to the ride there. ugh. What is the best way to pack them.

Oh, we went 2 years ago to vegas and the doctor gave me some Xanax to relax me. Otherwise, I drive my hubby crazy on the flight. It says to discard after 6/05. I wonder if that is necessary. I stillhave it and I would really hate to pay for it again if I can use what I have.

Oh, I know. This is not the smartest thing, but frugal girl that I am, it is tempting. I will probably have a doctor see this is read me the riot act.

Greetings all!

We are going to get serious about packing this weekend, and make sure we have taken care of all our reservations, door magnets and t-shirts.

We found out DD10 dance camp was cancelled the week of July 9, so we may head out even earlier on Thursday. This will allow us to spend the majority of Friday at the beach.

I bought a rolling soft sided cooler today, so we should be all set for refreshments while sitting by the Mickey Pool on Embarkation day. I will bring it to the DIS meet as well. Any beer preferences?

Need to go to sleep. Night all.

Can I please copy ya'lls notes on packing. My husband was laughing this morning because "we have 2 weeks and we are already packed." He really has no idea.....we are not even close to packed. It is too funny.

I am really wishing we would have known better and got a town car instead of taking the bus. I cannot get a cooler, not bring beer, which is my drink of choice....well, besides those foo foo drinks. :drinking1 I do have those little mixers though...and Key West is only a day away from embarkation. :woohoo:

My son's are talking Disney constantly now. My middle boys will be 14 on the 13th, so he asked what I think they will do for his b-day. I told him that I never thought to mention it was his birthday. ( My travel agent actually did) THis is just going to be a dream vacation if I ever had one.

Happy packing all. :cool1:  :dance3: :hyper2: ( I feel like these 2)

So what is your preference for beer? I will pick up some extra. :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Also, make sure to let your dining room team know about your son's birthday. The dining room manager should stop by on the first night asking if anything is being celebrated during the cruise. They will bring a cake on the night of your choosing.

I hear there are different cakes offered on different nights. Do you have an idea of what cakes are offered on what days? I will tell them what my son likes and see what they can comeup with.

We prefer Miller Lite, but anything lite will do. I do not want to take up precious space in your cooler though, but if you can, that is great and we will have cash on hand. Sometimes I wish I would have ran into this board before we actually scheduled, because I would have done some things a little different. Oh well, better for me the next time. I am hoping to talk my hubby into another cruise. Maybe we can book onboard. Thanks so much for asking.

If there is anything I can bring anyone here on the board from Va beach let me know too. We have really cool pirate shirts here if anyone is in need. pirate: Maybe glow sticks for pirate night?

I cannot believe it is just 2 weeks away. June has flown by.

Good Morning everyone :sunny:

Lots of rain last night out here in the big apple
but finally I see the sun :smooth:

I was also thinking that I would like to bring something extra for everyone or maybe just the kids :confused3 If anyone has any ideas let me know

Off to the museum today with DS and DH
So everyone have a great day

I would love some ideas too. Do we have a complete count on your page Gales?

I am glad you are finally seeing the sun. It rains daily here, but the majority ofthe day is sunny. Very breezy today. Lovely day for the beach, but I have to let the vampires ( American Red Cross) take my blood, and then off to have my hair done. So excited.

:cool1: Getting real close now. For the longest time it was so far away... now less than 2 weeks. Yikes! I have so much to do. (my kids love these little smilies) Pirate shirts, magnets, packing...
I bought Bonine and ear plugs at Walmart. Son #2 is a light sleeper and Sons 1 and 3 snore.
We did the 3 day Wonder before and it was our anniversary one day and Son #1 Birthday another day. They did bring a special big piece of cake each day which we never ate much of 'cause - there was so much food on the cruise! :cake: . Did
Ok - strange question of the day: we have shoretrips booked, but what do we do the two days we are at sea???

There will be plenty of activities on board. Check the Navigators. Some things are various tours to unseen areas of the ship, beer tasting, wine testing, towel folding, matinee (sp?) of the theatre show, movies, family activities like Pictionary and scavenger hunts, ping pong, shuffle board, etc.

Or just sleep in.

The pools get a little crazy, so we probably will stay away from them.

Oh, earplugs. I forgot about those. WE are on deck 2 right over all the noisy equipment...at least that is what others say. I think earplugs would be a good idea. I am not worried about the noise though, because I am just happy to be going. :cool1:

I also got Bonine, just as insurance. I would rather have it. We will probably not need it, but it is a small price to pay. If we don't buy it, you can bet we will get seasick. :sad2:

How old are your son's Terri?

Thanks for the information Gales! I think we will have a lot to do - the kids are at a good age to have fun with too!
On one of the other boards I saw pictures of the Pirate ship at Castaway Cay from two days ago. It is so cool! pirate: :bounce: :bounce: I hope I hope I hope it is there when we are there!!!

My boys are 8 10 and 12 so will fit in with your youngest. Fortunately they are all at the same Kids Lab. I tried to post a picture, but I don't have enough posts - I will be by the time the trip comes! :yay: :yay:

PICTURES of the Flying Dutchman at Castaway Cay!!!

The pictures of the pirate ship are at the thread above.

popcorn:: movie time with the boys - they keep telling me to get off the computer. It's addicting!

Hi all,

Wow, great to see so many EXCITED people!! Terri, I have an 11 yo DS who is REALLY looking forward to the Oceaneers Lab. We last did a Disney cruise when he was 6, and he said at that time that "The days on the cruise were the best days of my life". SO cute. I wonder how his perspective will have changed five years later?

I was a shopping fool today...finally feel like I've at least got FORMAL NIGHT under control, with new shirts & ties for the boys, as well as the all important dress shoes!

We will be spending 6 nights at the Poly before the cruise, so we're actually leaving home in just over a week. I'm not even close to being ready, but I will be!

LOVE The web site...thanks! We are on Deck 8, and we have late seating for dinner. And we hail from Great Falls, Montana!

Have a great weekend and I'll check back in on Monday!

I saw the pictures of the pirate ship!! It is really neat. It looks so close to the island too. We should be able to get great pictures.

These last 2 weeks are gonna kill me. ;)

Well, I woke up extremely late today, so if I am going to take the boys to the beach like I promised, I better get some things done.

I am glad Nate ( my youngest) will be able to meet your boys. You will be at the meet? He will be happy to meet someone his age, it will break the ice for him I think.

Welcome Peggy! I am sure your son's persespective will not change. From what I hear (this is my first), kids of all ages (even our age) cannot get enough of Disney.

I have updated the web site. Any other information from anyone?

I wanted to add a pic of my 14 year old and DH. Can I remember how to do it?

Again, a mixed bag, but at least you may be able to recognize us. My middle child was wondering why I did not include a picture of him, so now he should be very happy. :thumbsup2

Just Checking in

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far :sunny:

Welcome to all the new members

Need to start cleaning house I hate to come home to a messy one last minute laundry and finalizing my packing list

But today is JULY 1st and in 12 more days I will be at the carribean beach
:woohoo: :cool1:

Well my hubby is on his way to the airport to drop off my family and pick up his. It was so sad to see them go. I just need some prayers out there to get me through this week with the in-laws!!!

I just wanted to check in with everyone and I see we have some new people joining us. WELCOME!!!!

My packing is going to have to wait another week, but I am putting things aside as I remember them. I really need to sit down and write out a list. Yeah, like I have time for that. Is there any must have's that I don't want to forget? I see some are bringing beer onboard. Can we bring a cooler?

I can't wait to pampered hand and foot on the cruise. I'm totally exhausted from all of this entertaining. Pretty soon it will be my turn. Well all of us!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and I will check back during the week. I sure do miss talking with everyone on a daily basis.
