Hi everyone. It is now time for me to concentrate on this cruise. We just got off the Wonder on Sunday and had a great time! I miss it already, but luckily we have this cruise to look forward to...that and we booked a week on the Fantasy in April of 2012 We would also like to be a part of the FE exchange, so LV Disney Fan, if you could add us to the list we would appreciate it! We did it on this last cruise and we all loved coming back to our room and finding things in our pockets!

Camikey, just so you know, you can let DCL know that the kids should not have charging privilages on their key to the world card. We have not allowed our kids to charge on their card, so that is not a problem. Everyone does get a KTTW card, as that is how they know if you are on the ship or not.

If she is in the kid's club on CC will they hold her card or do I keep it? I only plan on having her in kid's club while I snorkel.

You can hold her card all the time while on the ship or at castaway cay...let's just say my 8 year old is not the most responsible of children, so for the most part, I held onto his card...esp. when we were in port!

Yes you can...we have done that each time we have been there.

Brought a really cool blow up round float that was designed as a chair. Bought it at the dollar store. Lasted about 2 hours before the chair part broke, but it was fun while it lasted, and we didn't have to bring it back with us.

I'm no good at attaching pictures, or I would put one in here. DD and her new beach friends definitely helped shorten the life expectancy of the floatation toy. But, in the end, it still floated, just not as comfortably as designed.

I agree, 4 more months!!!

I'm in awe that you've already started on this!

There's no way to be sure, but I think it's pretty likely we'll get some more additions to the FE group as we get closer to the cruise. We're also on the April 17 Wonder cruise and we were adding people right up to the cutoff date we picked (Feb 28). It would probably be good to think about a cutoff date for this one too, just so everyone has the details in plenty of time to get things done. How does May 31 sound?

Since we are newbies and have never done the FE gift exchange, I would appreciate a good explanation of how the gifts are done. Is it up to the individual group as to how it's done each cruise? I read on here where one lady did a whole goody bag individually tailored for each member of everyone's family including parents, but on other cruises, people just dropped random toys and trinkets off for the kids (reminded me of backwards Halloween). Also, do we go around leaving gifts everyday or is it just one time?

FE gifts are entirely up to each family. We have done it (and are doing it again this time) and we only do a drop off once per cruise. This last one we did something for the kids and something for the adults (but it took up a whole suitcase, so I have to do things a little differently this time!) If the group is relatively small, it is easier to do and less time consuming...I never realized how much time it took to deliver all the gifts! I try to do something with my gifts that the whole family can enjoy, but some people just do the adults and some just do the kids. My favorite gifts are those that are unique to the cruise or from the hometown. But, this is just me, and it is always nice to receive a little something in our F/E, no matter what it is.

Yes we have. This will be our 4th cruise with Disney. Looking forward to the vacation since we moved to florida after living in Guam for the last 5 years.

Well, I'm not too keen on using a whole suitcase for the FE, but I love the idea of giving something that comes from our hometown area. That gives me a great start! Thanks for the info. Everyday adds more excitement and anticipation. My DS11 now has a Jack Sparrow costume for pirate night thanks to a great buy on ebay!
