Juice in the Parks

Has anyone taken in a small pourable cooler (1/2 gallon) size filled with juice into the parks? Going with 3 and thought this might be easier/more economical than carrying juice boxes. Thanks for your input.

I bought a large insulated "jug" last summer to take to the parks ... it was about a half-gallon or so and had a shoulder strap & a "sippy" spout ... we filled it with ice and water ... it worked great except that no one wanted to carry it (me included) ... so we ended up just buying one bottle of water at a time and sharing it.

If someone's willing to carry it go for it!

I think it might be easier to pay a little more and get the juice boxes for the trip. With a cooler your will also have to carry cups if everyone does not want to drink after each other. I would keep my eyes open for really good buys on juice boxes. We found the disney extreme coolers at the dollar store last month!! Lots of stores also have them buy one get one free during the summer. Another bonus is that if you have a freezer where you are staying, you can freeze the boxes for a cold drink latter in the day.
Our first time in the parks we too tried carring all kinds of water and drinks and it got old real fast. We latter would just put one or two juice boxes in the BIG fanny pack for DS. Now we only carry water if it's hot and we know we will need a lot. We go off season so this is not a big issue.

If you have a stroller with you, then it would work ok, but otherwise I probably wouldn't want to carry it.

We bought a couple of big water bottles, with built in straws, and we found these worked really well. We would buy a couple of large drinks and share them out between the 3 of us, the large drinks are huge so there was plenty to share around, and also the bottles were sturdier than those paper cups so we could carry them around quite easily.

we also like to use the freezer to freeze half a bottle of water then top up with cold water in the morning, it stays nice and cold all day that way.
