Journey, Heart, and Cheap Trick are touring together....

oh man, reo was by far the best! the lead singer was so charismatic and totally pumped the crowd up. i wouldn't hesitate to see them again. styx didn't even play mr. roboto, can you believe that??? they played all these other songs that i didn't even know, i think they only played one really popular one.

Huh? Maybe you aren't really a Styx fan. My brother saw that tour and he said they played almost ALL the hits.

I used to LOVE REO Speedwagon, until the album with Keep On Loving You came out, and they went all sappy on me. Old REO was awesome.

Funny, you should bring this up because I'm planning to go see them when they hit Charlotte in August.

I've seen Journey without Steve Perry when they opened for Def Leppard and I could care less if I see them again. I could care less about seeing Heart. I'm only going because I want to see Cheap Trick. I would prefer that Cheap Trick headline only because it would mean that they would do a longer set. I think they are a better band than the other two, they still have their original members (unlike the other two), and I love, love, love Robin Zander.:lovestruc Of course, since they are the opening band, it means that I can leave early.

Why does Journey keep hiring Steve Perry sound-alikes when they could have the real deal? I don't know exactly what the problem is between them, but they need to get over it and give the people what they want.[/QUOTE]

The "problem" was that the band was forced to hire Steve Perry to replace the original singer, and according to Steve Perry, he never fit in with the band. He said the he never felt accepted as a band member, ever.

We saw Journey last year (or maybe the year before) when Steve Augerie (sp?) was with them and they sounded just like they did with Steve Perry. I know they have replaced him with someone else so I am curious to hear how they sound now. When we saw them they were opening for Def Leppard and we actually preferred Journey to Def Leppard.

The trio (CT, Heart and Journey) will be coming here this summer and DH, DS and I are thinking about going to see them. So I guess we will see.

Click the link I provided on page one..... it is the new singer singing. He's a young Phillipino guy, that sang in a Journey cover band, I am told.

Gotta be Journey (my absolute favorite:love: ) Heart...and I could care less if Cheap trick shows up:rotfl:

I'll see the three of them in Charlotte in August!

I've seen Journey before(unfortunatly without Steve Perry), but everybody is saying how good the new guy is. I love the group and their music, so hopefully it will be good

My lineup would be

Heart(opening) not my favorite...
Cheap Trick
Journey(headliner)

I'm jealous of Iggbees....I would have loved to have seen REO Speedwagon, Styx and Journey together!

When I saw this thread I got all excited, but my heart sank when I saw Steve Perry wasn't included.

I was lucky enough to see them once with Steve Perry and they were just wonderful. I have also been lucky enough to see Heart twice and Cheap Trick once. I would still go to see the Heart and Cheap Trick and I'm sure I would enjoy the rest of Journey, but it just won't be the same. If it was just a concert with a Steve Perry-less Journey, I wouldn't bother. Makes me sad they can't/won't work it out.

could be. i think i probably know more journey and reo than styx. so that's probably the case. i do remember the rotating keyboards they had at the concert were hilarious though.

I was going to say I'd like Journey, Heart, and then Cheap Trick, but someone pointed out that I could leave after Cheap Trick. :lmao:

Aw man! And no duckie around to give us her personal insights and anecdotes.

I saw Cheap Trick in Seattle about 13 years ago. I was never a big Cheap Trick fan but I had nothing else to do that night and I have to say it was one of the best shows I ever went to. They are fabulous performers and well worth the money. I put them as the headliners with Journey in the middle and Heart opening. I've always hated Heart, they just played them to death on the radio when I was a kid living in Seattle, if I never hear another Heart song again that would be fine with me.

I just saw Heart on a cruise a few weeks ago. I must say I was not thrilled at the prospect that these ladies were our headliner, but after watching them, well they really rocked! They were really good! No better than good , it was a great show!
