Jonesing for disney again

Jonesing too so last night I booked a trip for 9 day from now! This is a resort only trip just to get away and relax ~ do some resort hopping, spend time at Disney Springs, maybe rent bikes, play some mini golf. Planning one more trip Aug/Sept time frame since several new attractions will be open then. After that, who knows? May have to start getting my Disney fix on the cruises ~ just read that they may soon be charging for Fastpasses so that totally blows chunks!!!!!! Given the crowds and extremely long wait times, this is just another blow for those of us who have been visiting the mouse for many, many years. We are a retired couple and can pretty much do whatever we want to do, but there comes a time when people start to feel like they are being taken advantage of and Disney continues to add to the taking!!!

Thank you all. I agree that there doesn't seem to be a "great" time for crowds anymore so I don't want to keep limiting myself to September. We want to try something different. We went a few times before kids and it was always May/early June. Never any problem going at that time but this was 8 years ago. Crowd levels seem different now. May ranks as fairly busy on the calendars. I'd love to try May or June again but we thought September crowds were intimidating so....lol 😂

If late September is around the same temp or hotter than the summer then we will be fine. We live in the tundra (not really) and adapted surprisingly well to the extreme heat.

I went in early May 2018 and the last weekend of June 2019 and found the crowds for both of those trips to be extremely low. Very low wait times across the board low. May was much nicer weather wise though. But I think my favorite time has been early November.

15s stand for the Quinceañera crowds. You can look up Quinceañera on Google. And yes, this is something that will affect crowds levels at WDW.
Quinceañera is not a single holiday - it's a 15th birthday celebration - they happen all the time, not just in July? You may be conflating them with the (often Brazilian) tour groups who come in the summer?

The girls with 15th birthdays during the year all go at similar times in tour groups. So, for example, we were there the week after July 6th and the first of the 15's began arriving at Pop in large numbers. Usually these groups are largely female, and all 15 years old.

Those Brazilian tour groups are made up of 15 year old girls celebrating their birthdays.

The 15s(Brazil and Argentina mainly with a few groups from Uruguay,Chile,Peru, etc.) mainly take their Quinceañera trip in July because that is their Winter Break from school or January/February because that is their Summer Break from school.

With July being much more popular than January/February.

I would absolutely vote for May. We generally try to go to WDW in March or April, but we went in September a couple of years ago and we were MISERABLE in the humidity. Couple that with flights being cancelled and other travel concerns during Hurricane Florence...I doubt if we'll ever go in September again!
