What difference does it make? You've been told by plenty of people on this thread that it is their habit to put on the same clothes they wore the day before. While FOR YOU that might not be the case, we're here to tell you that for other people, it's not strange or weird at all. And unless someone here has inside knowledge of what was "normal" for John and Patsy Ramsey, I just don't see this "tidbit" of information as adding anything to the question of whether or not she murdered her kid.

So they reenacted "if" Patsy hit her daughter on the head in her bedroom because she wet the bed and then took her down to the basement to make it look like someone had brutally assaulted her and then murdered her. But what about the frickin' pineapple?! When the heck would Jon Benet have eaten that pineapple????

Ok, I'm watching the ID special and in the part about Helgoth they show a picture of the Hi-tech boot print that was in the basement. Regardless of whether or not that print matched Helgoth's boot doesn't the fact that there was a boot print in the basement prove someone else was in there?
I don't know how thorough the police were in their investigation but I would assume that they did clear all the people that were in the house that day.

I told you I don't sleep in pjs....and that I put on the same clothes in the morning as I took off the night before. That was what was pertinent to this discussion. So Burke... I don't think he's guilty. But man he's an awkward individual. I get it as I can think of 3 men even in their 40s are very socially awkward and introverted. One I know you can ask a question and his father will answer for him. I can see Burke being like that. He didn't elaborate on anything and his answers were so short. I can imagine that being interviewed for a tv show was not an easy thing for him.

Couple of things:
I don't think Patsy putting on the same clothes as the day before is odd at all - heck I do as others have said, I lay the clothes I wear today on a bench in my bathroom. If I'm not going to work, I will sometimes just put the same jeans/sweater back on.
The pineapple - I also don't think it is odd that JBR could have gotten up in the night and gone downstairs for a snack. I wonder though if her mother might have gotten angry that she was up eating during the night...
I really don't think that Patsy did it or had knowledge of the murder before the girls body was found. She would have to be an Oscar worthy actress if she did, she seemed truly hysterical.
Burke came off to me as just an odd kid. He smirked/smiled through the whole Dr. Phil special. I don't know why they continue to question him as the chances of him remembering anything important are slim. I really don't think, even if he did it, that he will suddenly confess...

The point is, there are reasonable explanations for both the pineapple and fingerprints, and to still believe that a family member was responsible.

I don't understand, are you saying that if a situation can be explained reasonably that's enough to conclude who committed a crime? Like I said, set a bunch of creative writing students loose with the assignment to write who committed the murder given the outline of information and you're liable to get many different outcomes. I wouldn't take those as guidance of how to bring charges.

I don't think the interview was in any way in Burke's best interest, but that could be said about a lot of guests that agree to appear on that show.

I know a family where the daughter is outgoing, social, bubbly. Just an easy person to talk to. I'm sure she is a good public speaker. Her brother is so introverted its sad. He's a great student. But just quiet. Oh so quiet. If you ask him anything you get one word answers. This is around relatives. He always looks awkward and like he just wants to go back to the basement to his video games.
Seems like Burke is this type of person. He's not a talker. He's not a public speaker. And feel bad for him having everyone judging him. And he certainly doesn't seem the type to be physically violent in the least.

Whoa, I didn't think we were only discussing what was evidence that could be brought to trial.

I believed it was simply a bunch of people talking about what they believed. Or have read. Or what people saw on the recent television shows.

I've been on a jury for a murder trial. And on a grand jury. And honestly, most of what has been said her is pure speculation. And none of that would be allowed during a trial.

If you are part of this investigation, you shouldn't be here discussing it. And if you aren't, then why would you care if stuff written here is evidence that could be used to bring charges?

I'm not sure why it is sad? Some people are perfectly comfortable being introverted. Some people are like that all of their lives and others come around much later in life. You say he's a great student which indicates to me that he has priorities others his age may not have. It is also VERY difficult for someone who is an introvert to even begin to come out of their shell when they have a sibling who is "outgoing, social, bubbly and just an easy person to talk to." There is no doubt that this boy has heard repeatedly all of his life that his sister is just such a great person. It's hard to follow in those footsteps when you are naturally quiet, shy, and introverted.

?????? Where did I even suggest I was part of this investigation? In my eyes if you're going to call out people who've been through an unbearable nightmare you should at least have the common decency to have solid evidence to back it up. Bottom line, there's a dead six year old and they are her family. If they're not responsible these decades of accusation and speculation have to have made things so much worse.

Sometimes unresolved grief can come out in ways that appear odd.
I've often thought that show must be quite reassuring as they sign up folks to appear. The guests may think the star can "help".
The truth is most people with serious struggles could use an understanding, qualified therapist and skip the TV shows altogether.

Not to mention he is a psychiatrist (or psychologist, I don't know which as I don't follow him that closely) and should have known how unethical showing the child therapy session taping was. To be able to do that shows how far his code of ethics has fallen for the fame and money IMO. He lost any credibility with me after that.

He retired from Psychology and let his license lap a decade ago. The California Board of Pysch determined his show is "entertainment" and therefore no license was needed. Something anyone who goes on his show should be made well aware of.
