How is Kate doing everything with no help and then she said that she would sleep until 12 then get up before the kids came home. It was early in the first hour. I think she would be totally lost if she didn't have Steve. I for one am glad that they showed more of what Steve does. And I still think the 2 piece bathing suit was not appropriate. I get the feeling she was trying to get attention to her.

No one has commented on some of the interviews that were done for the 2nd show.

Meredith's to me, was just comments to cover her tracks and stay friends with everyone involved.

The People editor-she said, "Kate is a celebrity" and is basically here to stay, whether you like it or not. She said something how Kate's popularity of being a celebrity rose so fast, or something like that. She also felt Kate will be around for a long time in the media acting world. She basically said, people either hate her or love her. And she mentioned all the e-mails and letters People received, and her comment she made why Kate works in the industry: "What difference does it make if she is acting or writing books, vs. working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week as a nurse. She is working and would be away from her kids either way."

Aren't they just booster chairs? I didn't see any bars on them to hold them in (and I doubt they could have fit them in if the bars were on). The kids are short..the table is big .

what?! the high chairs are back? they were gone at the end of JK8 ... why would they be back now?

As to the third bd party for the septuplets--I agree with Cara and Mady on this one. Why didn't Kate request a cake for all 8 kids? I am sure the bakery could have come up with something creative to incorporate all 8 kids and I doubt that Discovery cove would have said no.

I feel badly for Cara and Mady, they are definitely getting pushed to the side by the 6. They are old enough now to realize that everything is because of the 6 and I can see resentment starting to build up. Hopefully Kate will be "mom to her kids" as she stated over and over and over last night and will nip this problem in the bud immdediately and make Cara and Mady feel as important as the 6.

I think the highchairs are part of the "they are still babies" that Kate kept repeating yesterday concerning their 6th birthday. I bet they still wear the bibs when they aren't taping. I also think the naps are to give Kate a break. In one scene she was cooking up a storm and in the next scene she was crying in the limo about how she had to sleep?? Remember she does this with no help! She certainly repeated that sentence enough. Especially when they were at Discovery Cove and the employees were instructing them and helping them and guiding them (apparently not enough for Kate) and then they asked her what they wanted for lunch?? How dare they not have a full spread out to accomodate that family. Shame on Discovery Cove for making Kate carry trays of food to her children.

Its funny how different people can see the same thing differently because I remember Kate saying she did have help during the "Inside Kate's Life" special. I also remember her saying that she was appreciative of the Discovery Cove trainers helping her with lunch and she was melting down because of low blood sugar.

I agree with you all, Mady and Cara definitely seem to have some resentment toward the sextuplets. Who can blame them though. I was flipping through the channels too and saw the part at the picnic tables where Mady was irritated that the 6 got 3 b-day parties. Boy she did tell Kate! She said that it's not fair (it isn't) that they get 3 and she and Cara only had one. Kate tried to explain that it's because there's 6 of them but Mady came back with a scathing reply that she and Cara are twins yet only get 1 party! Lord love her, that poor child is going to give Kate a run for her money. I've always thought she dotes on the littlest 6 way more than the twins and I'm sure they notice. I felt bad that Mady was so upset, and rightly so. Like someone else said upthread, they are 8 individual kids, not a group package.

I did watch the Kate segment, Kate's world or whatever it was called. I have to say, I did feel a teeny, tiny bit sad for her in the limo. She was on little sleep and had just learned that Jon was planning to sue for custody. I think that was the problem, not that she didn't want to dance but that she couldn't put it out of her mind during rehearsal.

Does anyone know if Jon spent time with Cara and Mady on their birthdays? I can't remember if the wrong spelling on Mady's cake was their most recent birthday. I'm asking because I wonder if that's also part of the problem. Kate said the little ones had 3 parties, one with her, one with Jon, and one on the show. I would be pretty jealous if I didn't get to spend time with my dad or had to endure 1 tension-filled party with both parents while my younger siblings didn't.

jon does have a place of his own, i don't know about a job. I would be surprised if he would take on any the kids, without them bringing him in some moola. They would definately cramp his style.

I would think if you are that interested in knowing how it did, you can prob find it on youtube or watch a rerun. That way, you can judge for yourself. Some reviews have been good, and some have been bad, from the two Kate threads, just like the rag reviews.

They will be 10 in October. I agree they are old enough not to get "big sister" gifts and thought the pinata for them was stupid. On the other hand, three parties or celebrations is ridiculous on so many levels. It is just all so contrived for tv.

I think Kate should sit the kids down next year before their birthday and ask them what they want, 1 party or possible 6 parties. I know that's alot of work, but she can get the help. Maybe for once they would like their own separate party.

Kate was annoying at Paradise Cove when she kept saying "I've got no helpers" when in fact she had Paradise Cove workers in wetsuits running all over for her, bringing the kids food etc......
And speaking of wetsuits if Kate had just put one on herself 'First' it would have quelled most of the moaning and complaining from the kids.

Bad bleach job. Bad extensions. Bad makeup, Bad fake tan.
Mini skirt, high heels and cleavage on a plane trip with 8 kids?! Bikini at Discovery Cove?!
I think she was hanging out with Pamela Anderson a bit too much. Pam can pull it off, she can't. She looked ridiculous. Just because you have a decent body, doesn't mean you have to flaunt it like that. Have a little class.

I did enjoy watching Steve. What a cutie. I loved how he said, people either love Kate or HATE her. Um yeah except very very few people love her.

I didn't mind the bikini, but the airport outfit was kind of ridiculous. I understand that when you know you're probably going to end up in a magazine or on the internet, you focus more on looking nice going out - but high heels and a mini skirt? Not very practical at all.

I also didn't like when she talked about the inevitable meltdowns when the plane got delayed. Why not instead use that time to tell your children what kind of GOOD behavior is expected from them.

The show had a very respectible showing..actually both of them. So either the haters really watched it when they said they wouldn't, or the Gosselins really do have fans. All over the internet the haters said no way would they be watching it.

Now add to that those who will watch it on youtube, and I guess the show will be continuing, since they had a good audience, compared to what it was as it was winding down, pre Jon's bar pictures. Interesting.

Yup, I just saw the numbers...3.4 million viewers for Kate+8 and just over 3 million for Kate's World. Definitely above last seasons numbers, right? Excepting of course the divorce episode.

It's very good for a cable show. More than they had as it was winding down in the past, before the hoopla.

That mini skirt, high heels and cleavage on the plane was too funny. At first I thought a hooker was traveling with the group, but then when I saw the fake tan and bad hair I realized it was Kate. Did she have a bathing suit on under that wet suit at Discovery Cove--if she did I think the suit was probably one of the tups (not sure which one didn't go because of illness)the one who stayed in the hotel because she was sick! I watched bits and pieces but as some have described it, getting a root canal would be more pleasant.
