Who knows, he could have been fooling around and got yelled at and is covering his face because he's crying. Maybe he had chocolate and got it on his hands and is licking them. Maybe he put his coat over his face (and I did see the photo I originally mentioned with his coat) because the sun was in his eyes. I'm sure if you took a thousand pictures of other kids, you might get a few with their hands over their face. Heck, some of the other kids might have had their hands over their eyes at some time, but the photographers either didn't use it, or wanted to make a point of just Collin. Two times seeing a child covering their face, with all the pics the paps take of them, just isn't a lot. Either of us would just be guessing. Oh, but wait, which guess would make more hoopla on the internet?
Heck, they even got pics of a couple of the kids using a spray gun on the paps, and they look happy. Although who knows..they may have been spraying flowers, it's hard to tell how close the paps are, but again, it would sell better if they can convince us it's the paps.
No need to 'feel sorry' for those of us who are planning on watching. The idea that there is tragedy in this at this time is your opinion, and believe it or not, not everyone sees it the same way as you. It hasn't even been on yet, and so I'll make my judgement call once I see it. If I think the kids look used or sad, or if the more personal parts are being shown. I'll base if I will continue watching it on that.
Not all of the kids that have been in TV series have had a bad ending..many have been successful later in life, just like our (general) own children. Some do very well, and some don't. I don't see that this is going to go on for long, as the kids are growing up and may not be as appealing. I just hope some of the money (and I wish that for all of these shows) is going into their accounts, and will make life easier for them if they need help in college or their adult lives.
The decision was made, and while I may not agree that they need to be on TV, after much ta doo they are being allowed to have them on. And I plan on tuning it to see what this version of the show is about. Others will get the same results from watching it on youtube and reading and talking about it online. The attention will still be on them, and it's the attention that grabs the sponsors, which enables the show to be on.
Collin seems to have covered his face at least twice. Once with his coat and once with his hands. A quick google will get you the links. It made me feel bad to see them. Poor little boy.
Collin is 6, and 6 year olds are not into playing peekaboo last time I looked. Thus, Collin is almost certainly distressed. Why else would he hide his face?
Is that Kate's latest BFF Jamie in those pics? It looks a bit like her but it might be a baby sitter.
I'm not watching Kate & 8. The whole thing just seems so fake. I'm still watching for better legislation to protect minors.
I feel sorry for those who still want to pretend that this family is either *real* or functional, and want to watch for entertainment.
The Gosselin saga is, quite frankly, tragic. Those poor kids.
