I think we can safely say that horrible long hair she had the week before last was a wig LOL.

It was posted that they redid the extensions, and in between we saw her with her bob. It was posted they put in shorter ones than she originally had.

I think the hair extensions are out and she is now wearing wigs. Kate probably doesn't want to call them wigs, because it sounds funny. I think she is like Dolly P. Everytime I see her, she has a new hair style, short, long, curled etc., I truly think it is wigs now.

You bring up a good point about not hearing from people in the air.. Maybe the network buys all the seats in first class so she will finally have some of that privacy she apparently craves.

Yeah, because we certainly wouldn't want to think she could ever be nice.

With all the cell phones everyone has, you would think we would have seen a video if she wasn't. I bet someone that has seen her being so horrible or having a meltdown on one of the sets would have secretly taped her and sold the video. I bet that would bring in some pretty money.

Kate said in an interview this week that a TSA agent asked her to show up for her flights earlier since the pins in her hair from DWTS set off the metal detectors so she must be flying commercial..... the poor thing!

So they only ask kate to come early because her extentions set off the metal detectors. What about everyone else who has extentions? I'm sure alot of people have them. Shouldn't TSA ask those with extensions to arrive early? Is seems this is just another case where Kate believes she is "special" and deserves/gets "special" treatment.

Can you imagine if Kate got pulled and had to go through a pattdown.

Wigs are only used when their is a full change in hair color and style...i.e. a goth black wig or something....or if Kate went red head or something.

HAir pieces are styled into the hair and are temporary. The regular hair is done and if it is "up"--then usually it goes into a bun or something and then a hair piece is stitched on top of it. Other than realizing that it is impossilbe for the person's hair to have grown that quickly--it is supposed to look like it's their regular hair.

Yes her extensions wer redone and her hair is the lenght we see in interviews.

Also--after watching tons of that Toddlers and Tiaras and Little Miss Perfects ---they can increase the lenght and fullness of hair with hair pieces without doing actual extensions.

My girls had a hair piece with their dance competitions--but it was meant to make their bun a fluffly full bun and we did stitch it into their hair so that it wouldn't budge during their performance. (we do it with a large plastic embroidery needle and embroidery floss--easy peasy)

Granted I don't know Kate personally---but this hair piece/hair extension craze is so mainstream now and so easy to do.....

Of course the better color matching and texture so that it looks like real hair--the more expensive it will be. But the good thing is--in one day, out the next.

It's the pins in the updo I imagine. Not the hair piece itself. Hair pieces don't have metal in them--and for them to last for a show, they'd have to be stitched in. Pins fall out.

They must use some sensitive metal pins though.

She's just full of herself. But it does get frustrating when you are trying to catch a flight and the dumbest things are setting off the detector.

I recall pre-9/11 when I was visiting my grandparents in CA...coming back, when he went through security, he kept setting off the detector. Took out everything they thought was causing it. But it kept going off. The culprit? He took out Gum--you know, the kind with the foil wrapper. Once he took that out, he cleared the machine no problem.


ETA: As a side note, passengers with mega-frequent flyer status, or first class/business class tix--can go through a shorter line in many airports. I know that they get to "cut" the long line at Dulles. Not sure if it is nation wide--but SWA advertises when you buy their business ticket (for priority boarding), that you are eligible to do that--so I'm sure it is nation wide.

First class folks tend to maintain discretion with their fellow passengers. Certainly coach peeps aren't going to be permitted to come and bother Kate and depending on the aircraft--sometimes, coach passengers don't even pass through first class.

I don't doubt that she can be nice, to Joy Behar, Billy Bush, Jay Leno she appeared very nice but then again she was pushing her agenda uh I mean her book.

Well Joy can go bipolar on her in a New York minute--so it is always best to tread lightly with her. I was surprised that Joy was conducting a positive interview.


As for first class--In all my travels, I have never heard a ruckus in first class. Not saying that it doesn't happen.

But if Kate is flying it--she's with people who (typically) can "afford" it--which means upper crust and up her alley. She doesn't have to be persnickety since she isn't flying in steerage.

IOW--she can keep to herself and not be bothered for the most part. So the opportunity to not be nice, isn't really going to present itself.

I didn't think there was. I thought folks were just wondering why and then suggesting that ABC is buying out the class...a bit of a stretch of reality. And unnecessary. Kate is capable of behaving.

Is Kate flying commercial flights? If she is, I wish someone on board with her would post to see how she is? Maybe film a meltdown or a "Kate moment" if she has one. It's hard to believe as many flights she takes, no one has released a video. Could it be that she's always nice in the air???

She was not rude or threatening and did not act in any socially inappropriate way. If you read the whole thing, she seems rather nice and balanced in her reporting, and not 'hatey' at all.

It was a decent blog, but it did make me see why Steve is there. That could have gotten nasty. This was a book signing not a press conference. I'm sure Kate gets those questions all the time, while under attack, and how would she know that the gal would not do anything else..she could have been someone that would.The gal admits she was just not being nice by asking if she texts her kids and then she challenged her with a question about the kids being filmed. I've only been to one book signing, is it usual for someone to start questioning you like that? I think with some of the hate out there for Kate, I'd be afraid to go out in public.
Also, because Kate got up from the book signing, the gal said she was a 'itch'? I understand the guard said it too, but I'm only commenting on the blogger, and I'm hoping the guard doesn't lose his job with her blogging about him. I don't understand why the blogger said it. She didn't know if Kate was coming back, and she did..so why name call?

The woman sounds like an entitled sociopath and is no different than the Kate she is judging.

A lot of times--people's body language convey more to the story. With that absent, trusting her as "nice and balanced" is a stretch.

Considering child labor laws won't "BAN" the kids from any filming.

How will you film the kids if child labor laws say you can't?

Sorry--real journalists do research before attacking a celebrity at an event that is not a press conference.

And she admits as much that is precisely what she wanted to do--catch Kate off guard to get some answers. That is an attack, even if done with a smile on her face.

She may have the right--but Kate and her guards have the right to determine if it was inappropriate. And it was, so she was escorted away and thus her rights were terminated.

interesting blog... Does this mean that Kate didn't go home to PA at all this week? Sure seems to me like both of her current jobs are keeping her away from the children quite a bit? The good news is that at least without the distractions of the kids being around during rehearsals, no jet lag etc that her dancing this week should be much improved.

I don't she is a journalist, maybe I missed it. You have to admit, no journalist or interviewer has EVER asked a Kate a hard question or pushed her in any way. I don't think Steve (TLC) allows it. If this lady disappears, we'll know what power they hold! (that's a joke)

I don't she is a journalist, maybe I missed it. You have to admit, no journalist or interviewer has EVER asked a Kate a hard question or pushed her in any way. I don't think Steve (TLC) allows it. If this lady disappears, we'll know what power they hold! (that's a joke)

She claimed she was by virtue of asking for a press pass. Sure she is just a blogger--but she presented herself as a journalist by trying to request a press pass.

I agree--no journalist asks her what folks "really" want to know--and I would bet the farm that it is part of Kate agreeing to do the interview. Whomever orchestrates that, I have no idea--but Joy Behar would go to town on her, for example, if given the opportunity.

Not sure why she was "grabbed"....remember, that is the writer's word--not necessarily what actually took place. Additionally, she is writing for effect, so she could have been asked to leave--but was "grabbed" and that comes across much better in a snark piece.

As for taping--she would have never gotten past the first question. And surely a scene would have ensued which would have been unfortunate. Then it would have been written in a method that makes Kate look bad--when the writer is the one that was behaving poorly (in my make believe scenario here). Kate has the right to be "silent".

Though what I wouldn't give for an expose admission from Kate.
