Jon and Kate Plus 8 Official Thread - Part 8

Kate takes them to a restaurant to eat and I don't know if its just me, but those kids don't eat much. Kate ordered 2 orders of chicken, 2 orders of french fries and some broccoli for 6 kids?? I would think those boys are developing an appetite.

My boys go in streaks - it seems like if I order each of them a meal, they don't eat. When I order one for them to split, they eat everything and want more!

Jon and Kate are meeting today? And Jon brought flowers...

It does seem that in the past month or so, especially the past week, many (if not most) of us have needed a break. Maybe that's just normal -- I know if Jon or Kate were a family member of mine, I would still need a break from them.

And yes, there have been posts in the past 2 days that made me question why I had ended my break. I think sometimes we just don't see how 1-sided we are (and it can happen to all of us at times) or even whether we are being disrespectful in our arguments.

It's just sad, because when we can find common ground, we rock

I meant to include it in the previous post but my brain isn't working today! DS3 ran into the wall this morning (DS5 was chasing him and either chased or pushed him into the wall....I haven't gotten the full story yet!) and DH took him to the ER for 8 stitches! The rest of the day's kind of been just a blur!

I read a good article in our newspaper supplement today talking about what the other family of sextuplets thought of the demise of the Gosselin's. The wife who is a physician assistant said that their (meaning the Gosselins) biggest mistake was quitting their jobs and depending on the show to support them. She commented that your job is part of your life and giving that up effects everything else.

That makes a ton of sense to me. J&K giving up their jobs to live off their fame was probably the beginning of their downfall. Your job is a major part of your life that must be considered in all decisions. It's where you spend a large amount of time each week.

I would not want to watch what they "were" and what that have "become".. It was completely unnecessary..

Its too bad it has to end this way, but thanks to Jon & Kate and their greediness, what did they expect. I just hope the kids will have as normal a childhood as they can and they don't have to "work" anymore. With all that is happening in fertility, this is probably just the beginning of the larger multiple births. More babies born at the same time--more money paid to air your dirty laundry on television.

Well look at it this way.. It appears the divorce is going to be finalized much sooner than what we heard a few months ago and tonight is the end of the J&K Plus 8 show..

The nightmare is finally coming to an end and we can forget that J&K ever existed.. No more bashing, no more defending, no more talking about them, no more need for links, no more referring to other posters as "haters", no more chastizing newcomers for asking questions, no more legal documents to try to decipher, no more need for "Team Kate" - "Team Jon" - "Team Kids", and eventually, I suspect this thread will go poof as well.. I think we've really eached "the end" and it's all good..

Have a great Thanksgiving and us "Team Kids" will all catch up with you somewhere else on the boards..

Apparently TLC is working on a show that is going to feature Kate. They haven't released any details on what kind of show or who it will involve.

I've never been one to comment on the drama and all that (because I hate conflict), but it's really unseemly, IMO, to hear Jon talking about Hailey during this final show.

I just watched a few minutes and caught the part where they walk down the driveway to the street, and I saw what a straight clear shot to the garage it is. All open and viewable. I remember a blogger saying they could see the kids playing there while they were in their car driving down the street normally. I don't have a point really, just commenting. It always bugged me, you know with all the paparazzi hating, they could have planted some bushes or something to protect a shred of the kids privacy. I hope the end of the show gives the kids some of that back.

With lingering anger and bitterness, the marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin is all but dissolved after Saturday's all-day mediation hearing in Pennsylvania, a source close to Kate tells PEOPLE.

"This was the proceeding that essentially ended their marriage," says the source."Kate is just relieved that a very painful chapter of her life is nearly over, and she is looking forward to building a better, brighter future for herself and her kids."

During the hearing, Jon "didn't dispute Kate having primary custody of the kids," says the source, which came as no surprise to Kate.

Nor was she shocked when Jon showed up to the session with a bouquet of roses. His lawyer said they were a peace offering, but Kate saw it as something else and refused to take them.

"In what should have been their most serious moment as a couple," says the source, "Jon again resorted to a publicity stunt."

I don't think so, but IMO it wouldn't matter if it were her or anybody else he was talking about...it's just not something that really needs to be brought up on the show. Just tacky.

And just to clarify, I'm not on anybody's side in this (like it matters anyway, lol) and there have been plenty of times watching past episodes when I've been like at some of the stuff Kate has said to Jon, but I really got the impression that she was genuinely upset at how everything had ended while listening to her interviews tonight (and I don't just mean the fact that the show had ended...it seemed like she was upset that the marriage and the way of life and the whole reality of their day to day existence had come to an end.) She seemed much more genuine and REAL than I really ever remember seeing her, TBH.

Geez, this made me sadder than I thought it would.
