Thanks for this. I did not specifically look it up, but I feel like the map I saw put Ravenna much closer to Venice. That's...not close at all. Guess Grandpa might need to see Venice another time (too bad, I wanted to see Venice too!)

Thats why you should always use Google Maps or Apple Maps and search the places and distances yourself. The maps that cruise lines, tour companies, hotels etc create are not necessarily to scale or show correct distances.

If the cruise leaves from/ends in Ravenna, you can see Venice on this trip. It’s around 3 hours on the train with no changes or one change, or when I looked into an NCL cruise leaving from Ravenna they offered transport from Venice to Ravenna (although it wasn’t cheap!) I ended up not doing that cruise but I would guess Celebrity would do something similar. Ravenna doesn’t have its own airport so you’d either have to fly into Bologna (around 1 hour away) or Venice. Milan also might be an option as they have a lot of high speed trains from Milan to other places.

If Ravenna is just a port stop then I agree, you’re not likely to see Venice.
