Is anything I said false?

I don't believe that Kate2.0 and Stephanie have been discredited. Also, the only one saying that Kate ended the marriage in October is Jon. He doesn't quite have backup on that one. Regardless, he was sleeping with another woman a mere 2 weeks after announcing to the world his impending divorce. Jon is a child. Heck, he was Kate's 9th child. Watching old episodes, you can see that he always wanted to be "fun" dad. Kate always seemed to be the responsible parent. Was she a witch? Sure, but if I had to parent my husband I wouldn't be sunshine and lollipops either.

The way that Jon has conducted himself this year shows his true colors.

I follow the facts we have been presented with. Kevin and Jodi first stated that Kate left Jon in October. Jon stated the same several times. When asked, Kate can't remember what happened or when.

Jon is not very smart (no offense Jon). I don't think he is very capable of deceit or manipulation on a large scale. You get what you see with him. That also has been backed up by friends and neighbors. (they all say Jon is a nice and friendly guy, very genuine)

I would watch her show....and I think she should go forward with the "Organic Cooking for Kids" cookbook. It's too bad Jon will block the kids from being involved---my kids would have loved it see "Cara's Favorite Recipe", etc.

On that note, my dd's would also have been excited about a tasteful children's clothing line for "pre-tweeners" that Cara & Maddy had their name stamped on.

Why would you say that Jon would keep the kids from being involved in a cookbook? He said he thought that filming them was detrimental, especially while they were going through the divorce.

And wow -- I think you're the first person to post that you want Jon and Kate to continue living off their kids. That's different.

She's no genius either, but whatever she and Jon are doing they are in agreement and are backing each other up. Jon has never made any false claims with regard to Hailey. And she is still backing him.

Kate, on the View insinuated that Hailey met the kids and she has not. She has let people believe that Jon cheated and this is what led to the end of the marriage, but this is not true. Kate ended things in October of last year. Jon has stated that he and Deanna were only friends (which Deanna backed up) and Kate2.0 and Steph were lying. Hailey still supports him. It's something in the media blast against Jon. Pretty much all the things he has stated have turned out to be true, and backed up by others.

Just the facts -- clearly stated.

Ok, so you don't like Jon. But you need to get your facts straight eg. the only one not saying that the marriage ended in Oct. is Kate (and she can't remember when it ended). As for dating 2 weeks after Kate filed for divorce, I think Jon was within his rights to do so (although I think he could have used a lot more discretion).

Yup -- you're right -- her old lawyer, Cheryl Young, isn't listed with the firm, although he said on LKL that he was affiliated with her (I think taking over from her would be more to the point)

The interview he gave was a complete about-face on some of the things he said on LKL. For example, he stated “She really wants to engage Jon, but he’s not engaging back,” attorney Mark Momjian told TODAY’s Matt Lauer Friday in New York. “And that’s really regrettable in any custody case.” This is the same guy who last night said that the place for custody matters to be worked out was in court and that Kate didn't have to speak with Jon.

The bodyguards are necessary. On another forum, I saw a thread called "How should Kate and Jon die?" There are crazy people out there!

How awful! This world definitely has it's share of dangerous people.

I agree. If I were a betting person, I would put my money on Jon having lied about Stephanie. Go back and watch that part, Jon's body language just screams that he was, at least to me.

Either way, I hope he has learned to stop hanging around the type of women that are going to "tell all" when it's over.

I can't prove squat--but I know someone whose opinion I trust--eyes for lies. She did a few right ups and given that she has no reason to make stuff up and thus far hasn't made a mistake on the criminals whose trials have led to conviction, I'd trust her opinion over anyone else's any day of the week.

To sum up: Kevin and Jodi seem questionable in character and Kate is more believable than Jon.

(If you've ever heard of the show "Lie to Me"--she's a real life natural version of those people. Kinda creepy weird. But a neat science none the less).

FTR--I wouldn't call Jon a liar. He's just a person to not be trusted IMHO. I don't trust his motives. It doesn't mean he's lying in the process to achieve whatever it is that he wants.

They're a poster that's been on this thread for a long time, as have I. And although I don't always agree with them, I can vouch for the FACT that they are pretty careful in the information they post, state all of the facts regarding a particular issue whether they would prove Kate or Jon (or neither) right. The word "integrity" comes to mind.

I definitely agree with you on this statement. I think Michael Lohan is trying to take advantage of this media frenzy to push this new show of his -- the Divorced Dads Club is never mentioned anywhere without his name attached to it.

Since the show hasn't been picked up by anyone yet, it could change dramatically (assuming it ever becomes a show at all)

We usually get along pretty well on this thread, even though we don't all agree. There really is no need to be insulting to other posters.

Nope -- simply a statement of fact. Since Kidshop has been on this thread for a long time, as have many of us, maybe we know Kidshop better than you do. And maybe they have been privy to ALL of the news, stories, etc that have happened over the last year as they have been posted. We might interpret things differently, but we've all seen the same posts.

The lady from the link you posted has an interesting take on the personalities of Jon and Kate:

While Kate has an in-your-face approach to life, there is one thing you can garner from her behavior. You will always know where you stand with Kate. If you upset Kate, she'll likely dish it to you firsthand. And if you make her happy, you can be pretty sure that she'll come bearing all smiles. Kate says it like it is and with that approach, she really doesn't have any reason to hide. You are likely going to get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth--even when it is painful and hurts. That's part of the package.

People who lay it all out there usually have a very difficult time lying because their emotions are written all over their face. They aren't used to holding anything back.

Jon, on the other hand, while he is much softer and sweeter in character, isn't always able to face situations directly. He is prone to frustration and emotional bouts where he has to withdrawal because he is unable to cope. Jon hates confrontation and will often do things just to avoid it instead of dealing with the facts head-on, like Kate. When Jon and Kate get into arguments, you often see Jon walk away from the camera mumbling, unable to hear what he really thinks.

This is not to say that Jon is a bad guy, because he absolutely is not (as Jon has different and equally valuable strengths), but when it comes to honesty, which person would you trust? The person who says it to your face, or "nice guy" who avoids you when he doesn't like what you are saying?

That's why I posted.

Someone can "not be a bad guy" but still have questionable integrity.

I mean, how many times in our lives have we come across people who are really nice--but when you find out some personal relationship type info about them--they seem to be very rocky, despite them being loved by everyone.

There are people who are great as friends--but suck with commitments.

Eyes for lies doesn't go to that stretch--but I would say that Jon is the non-committal type of guy. Which would make him a "bad guy" when it comes to being married to Kate.

Not that Kate is all peaches and cream--it just seems that everyone wants to point out all the "evidence" that Jon can't be bad b/c there is all this good--but all that good isn't in his relationship and thus has no meaning in what their marriage was truly all about.

So where is Kate today? Pictures circulating of her, the twins and Steve going out to lunch. Pics show Steve opening car doors for her to get in. I still say there's something between Kate and Steve, only time will tell. What would Kate say if Jon had a female bodyguard doing all this for him?

They show their version every week. They are very pro-Kate. I haven't watched in a while, but I would bet money that they haven't showed a Kate-tirade in ages.

Yup, the new and improved Kate is very serene and calm (like Dreagirl's favorite picture of Kate in the hurt baby bird pose!). TLC knows what they're doing. They had the new Kate+8 in mind when they re-invented her image since the divorce on the show.
