I just finished watching the clip of the dogs leaving. I feel so bad. But I hope they go to a much better home. Jon had the kids say good-bye and they did from the door and then went back in the house. Those kids have way too many things, easy come, easy go. After watching the dog video, I am all done with watching that show. I get upset when I hear of another animal needing a new home.

I know! I remember when someone on the thread (I think it was Madge) posted the link with the pics and I couldn't stop laughing! Don't get me wrong, Kate looked good but her whole pose was so ridiculous. I'm surprised someone at People didn't suggest airbrushing in angel wings.

Don't get me wrong...I don't think Jon is a "bad guy". I believe that they are both absolutely responsible for the destruction of their marriage. These were two clearly mis-matched people. However, Jon always (even from the very beginning) struck me as a guy who went kicking and screaming into adulthood. I felt he thought of his wife and children as a burden and that they got in the way of his "youth".

His behavior over the past year had showed that for sure! Do I think he loves his kids? Of course. Do I think he thinks the gravy train is pulling out of the station without him and he is starting to panic. Absolutely.

Kate has always had her eye on the prize and is clearly the more motivated and determined parent. Good or bad, Kate isn't willing to see her and the kid's financial security just vanish. I can't say that I blame her. I think that Jon burned his TLC/Kate bridges before thinking of his future. The man was so eager to regain his youth he couldn't see 6 months out. Now he is scrambling.

Funny! I always felt that TLC showed the worst of Kate on purpose so there was drama....now there is no need for drama so we get to see nice Kate. We always saw Jon as the poor victim and my personal feeling is that we are now seeing the real Jon...a jerk.


I have no idea who left who and when because for me this is all "he said, she said" A short time ago Jon was saying that Kevin and Jodi had no clue what they were talking about...but now she does because it would back up his time line of when it was over?

Too me most of what is discussed here is not fact...it is peoples interpretation of things as they are presented. Unless you are that person or part of the inner circle...no one knows the truth and what is fact or fiction.

I can't prove squat--but I know someone whose opinion I trust--eyes for lies. She did a few right ups and given that she has no reason to make stuff up and thus far hasn't made a mistake on the criminals whose trials have led to conviction, I'd trust her opinion over anyone else's any day of the week.

To sum up: Kevin and Jodi seem questionable in character and Kate is more believable than Jon.

(If you've ever heard of the show "Lie to Me"--she's a real life natural version of those people. Kinda creepy weird. But a neat science none the less).

FTR--I wouldn't call Jon a liar. He's just a person to not be trusted IMHO. I don't trust his motives. It doesn't mean he's lying in the process to achieve whatever it is that he wants.

It is fascinating, but I still disagree. I do not consider Kate to be believable at all. When she speaks she does so carefully, like she is measuring every word, very guarded. She won't answer questions. Jon (and I'm not saying this is necessarily a good thing), just talks with no reservations. It is like he doesn't have anything to hide and is very free and natural.

If Kate was so forthright, why did she deny she had help for so long (I do it all alone), why keep up the charade of a marriage for a tv show? She is all for show, no substance. What has she been forthright about? She even claimed to be a 'high road taker' and then specifically asked to talk about Jon and Steph on the View! She is only forthright about Jon and his faults (he has many). she strikes me as someone who only considers how life affects HER. I haven't seen her show much concern for anyone else, and that includes the children. And that is based on what I have seen on the show, and her many TV and magazine interviews and reports back on her behavior during appearances.

They're a poster that's been on this thread for a long time, as have I. And although I don't always agree with them, I can vouch for the FACT that they are pretty careful in the information they post, state all of the facts regarding a particular issue whether they would prove Kate or Jon (or neither) right. The word "integrity" comes to mind.

Now if he caves for money and agrees to film or uses them in the future to make money, I will intensely dislike him more than Kate.

If he remains steadfast and advocates to keep them from being filmed and used for income generating purposes, no matter his motivation, he is in the right.

I think she is on meds, that is why she is nicer. I think when you are getting divorced it is a given.

I semi agree with this (I don't think anyone wins in this). For some reason I don't see him doing this for "the kids", I think this more a "get back at TLC and Kate" move on his part...I hope I am wrong ....but I guess time will tell.

Always loved the show. Haven't watched it since the announcement.

Always thought they truly loved each other. Yes some poor communication but I thought I saw real love between them.

Never was a Kate hater.

But I must say boy is she smart with her "ways". So smart. Jon said nada in the beginning. Nada. Kept his mouth shut. She had the first People interview that put all their personal crap out to all of us. Everything. He still stayed quiet. Yes, he was here, there and everywhere. She said he checked out of the marriage. And he said nada.

And then he started talking b/c she wouldn't be quiet and there were lies (I assume). But he just doesn't have her level of knowing what to say and what not to say. He doesn't. He just doesn't. She can speak and not let her emotions get ahold of her message. He can not. Hence, he's screwed.

Now the irony - Kate says something to the effect of I won't speak about private things in the media. So he looks like the idiot even when she started by - oh the irony - saying private things in the media.

New job for Kate if she leaves the show - PR. Really. No sarcasm.

Those poor children.. I truly beleve they loved each other at one time. You could see it. It's such a shame.

She's going to a party to celebrate Sherri's (from the View) new show after she goes on Today. I don't see anything wrong with that. I bet that party is a great place to network and since she wants her own talk show, spending more time around Barbara Walters and gang isn't a bad idea. She, the twins, and Steve went to a Taylor Swift concert on Thursday.. I wouldn't be surprised if that opportunity was a result from Kate's appearance on the View.

We have been through several threads where people have agreed and disagreed but haven't made snide remarks to each other, we have respected each others opinions. I would hope you would respect that as well.

No one has asked if you were Kate now have they or did I miss it? I don't think so. Please just state your opinion, use things to back it up and we all can discuss it nicely.

I would hate to see the thread shut down for childish remarks that can get out of control.
