So I watched last night's show just now (I know - I'm a bit behind) and something struck me as odd. Kate mentioned grilling for the first time and on her new grill - ok....

I know Jon prided himself on being the family griller - and had mentioned when they first moved into the big house that he had a nice new grill to now work with.
Well, I thought they were referring to the same one until Jon was shown outside with the kids putting pizzas together on his grill and Kate's was covered in the background.

His and hers household appliances - really? There is no way this house-sharing will ever work if they can't even share a bbq before the divorce is final.

Telepictures Productions, which produces Ellen DeGeneres’ and Tyra Banks’ hit talk shows, is looking to develop a morning show with Kate Gosselin and TV cooking queen Paula Deen.

“They’re looking around and casting for other women to be on the show with them,” one source tells E!’s Marc Malkin. “But they want all the women to be moms.”

A few months ago, Kate told EW that she would totally do her own show. “There are no mom-centered talk shows,” she told the mag. “I think that would be a very comfortable thing for me.”

WOULD YOU WATCH a talk show with hosts Kate Gosselin and Paula Deen??

This seems like a remake of Kathy Lee Gifford and/or Joan Lundon when their kids were young, and I could never watch that for long.

The war of the words has officially begun, with Jon calling Marci a liar and Marci ready to drop more bombshells about the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star's relationship with her daughter Stephanie.

Responding to Marci's charges that Jon once threatened suicide and was Stephanie's lover, Jon has given his own video interview saying it's just not true.

Jon says Marci just wants to make money off him. Of course Jon also said he wasn't romantically involved with Kate Major even though she quit her job after they spent a week together in the Hamptons.

wouldn't it be GREAT if someone actually did back up an allegation (especially one about Jon on radar!) I'll be waiting for the proof, thought I predict it won't come....

Why do some of you think if Kate gets a talk show, the TLC show would end? I think that would just be more time the kids won't have with a parent. I think she would do both, just like if Jon gets another job, he will do both.

My thinking is that a talk show would debut after the contract with TLC is fulfilled later this year.

This I agree with -- how could TLC miss the chance to do a reality show chronicling the life of a single working mother raising 8 kids? And I suspect there would be a pay raise too.

But I'm not sure that Jon will be offered a new contract by TLC, even if he wanted it.

That confuses me too Maybe the poster meant it has no additional nutritional value. But IMO organic food is soooo much better for you and definitely tastes better (but sometimes it's pretty ugly -- you have to put up with a few bruises if you want to forgo the preservatives)

So now you're saying he's in rehab?

And it is only your opinion that Jon gave as good as he got. Many other posters would disagree with you on this point IMO.



ITA! Those kids have to start learning to live in the real world, which is where they'll be when they start college (well, at least 7 of them will be, since TLC is not going to do 8 reality shows about the Gosselin kids going to college)

Well, maybe that's where the problem is. English is my first language, but I also speak french and spanish. And although I'm quite fluent in sarcasm, I always expect a roll of the eyes or a wink to let me know the speaker doesn't mean exactly what they say.

I also spend a lot of time texting my friends -- it's free for me anywhere in Canada and most of them live outside our calling area. I've learned to write differently, I think, because of that.

Does anybody think it's possible that Jon and Kate have completely different interpretations of what is "private information" -- Kate appears to think that talking about how the children are handling the divorce isn't private (but IMO that would be more private than Jon talking about who ended the marriage). Otherwise, all her talk about "for the sake of my children..." is really just a sound-bite. Or is it just something she says when she doesn't want to answer a particular question, any question.

Do we (us on this thread) have different opinions about what should be considered private? IMO, anything that went on behind closed doors , that the kids should never know about, and that is never going to be leaked from the divorce proceedings should be considered private. Also, despite the fact that these kids have had their whole lives exposed on TV, I feel like we don't need to know the details of how they are handling the divorce. I don't feel like Jon crossed this line in his interview, but I may be forgetting something.

Canadians do have a sarcastic sense of humour, don't we? And I've just added the texting to my cell, since DD is now in Halifax at Dal, and I'm here in Ontario.

I also think, that while people don't want her to talk about the kids feelings in the divorce, that it also appears to be human nature to want to know their reactions to stuff, such as when Jon had Stephanie there and someone posted..I wonder what the bigger girls thought, were they the ones who called their moms. I think sometimes, it appears we know the children well, like a relative and think we should know private stuff. I also wonder if Kate things she is 'bonding' with her audience, and wants to share.

I barely watched the second View and missed her saying the next daddy would love them as much. As much as who, Jon? Or did she say that if she got married again and there was a new daddy, Jon would love them as much? A wierd thing to say, if she meant the 'new' daddy. Congrats to your DD! I went to Dal and live nearby -- we still have a membership at their gym and we got to a lot of the varsity games. LOL they don't have a football team, though -- Dal is a very serious university (certainly not an Animal House type of place)

Correction to my earlier post: she said "he'll love you just the same"

Maybe others will have a different take on what she said (I hope). It still bugs me that she detailed her discussion with the kids -- did she really have to say who asked which question?

JMHO but she did the whole spiel to justify continuing to wear her wedding ring, something that a lot of people (including some of us) have seriously questioned. If so, her PR people probably played a role in deciding what she would say. I dunno

It would have been interesting if they had asked why she still wears her ring and where does she think Jon'r ring is. I didn't know she was going to be on Friday too. Wonder if anything else will come out.
Did anyone else think it was weird when Dr. Phil came out? First an akward hug and then almost kissing up to him. It seemed to me that he was mad that Jon put him in a bad spotlight and was taking it out on Kate.

First, I have to say I love her hair. I realize I'm the only one, but I think it's much softer looking and she looks great.

I watched the video, and I have no idea what she was thinking when she said that. I can only hope she really meant Jon would love them just as much.

Jon already had his interview and it didn't do him any good. I think the best thing for Jon is to stay in his NYC apartment (not bar hopping), be with his kids, and to not talk to the media. Honestly, Jon played his hand bad in this divorce. If he was smart, he would have been a lot more discreet and everyone would be on his side. Instead, he tried to live like a 20 year old instead of a father of 8.

I listen to Bob and Sheri out of Charlotte on line in the mornings. They're talking about the Stephnie/Jon thing and they actually had quotes from Stephanie about what Jon said to her....I missed the beginning (darn working interrupted my gossip catching up on ) as to where the information came from but they're making fun of the fact that Stephanie says Jon rubbed her back, he asked her to rub his back then he told Stephanie "whatever you do, don't fall in love with me". They're also advertising the heck out of the Charlotte Women's Show with Kate Gosselin just about every break they're taking this morning. I'll see if I can figure out where they got their info from.
