So what does he suggest? That they talk to the kids on TV about the divorce so we can see how sad they are? I'm glad they aren't doing that.
Does he think they should all live in the house together so they can fight in front of the kids?
Of course the kids are sad to see the other parent go..they would be in any divorce. So, is it better the kids get to stay in the house and the parents leave, or does he think one parent should stay and the kids go back and forth?
About where Kate lives. The paps can't figure that out? I don't believe they wouldn't print it, if they knew she lived in Maryland.

I didn't get that at all from the article. What I got was a reporter who called it like he sees it. Two totally self absorbed parents who are talking about how hard and sad it is for them. IMHO he was implying that none of this should even be on the air. The parents are the ones who made the decision to split, so quit poor mouthing on TV, the kids are probably hurting worse than the parents. They don't have a say in anything apparently

Now, Team Jon is reaching out for some new threads and a classier image.

Reps for the reality dad kindly requested some looks from Cohesive, RadarOnline.com has learned, an LA-based mens apparel line that has the edge of Audigier without the circus effect.

Gosselin's been spotted around NYC in the brand's t-shirts, and wore a pair of darkwash Cohesive denim to VMA after parties last night.

you're saying a security guard and production assistant are the same thing?

I don't have a problem with him carrying the bag, I just think it's strange that he's doing it, if he's the security guy. It's really none of my business, other than they keep putting pictures of this stuff out there for public commentary.

I'm a little late on the bodyguard discussion, but I have seen where some believe he is around to keep Kate is check and shield others from her. It's as plausible as anything else to me. We've all seen her temper and inappropriate reactions on the show. It would kill the 'brand' to have her be nasty and rude to people in such a public venue.

Well, they are on TV and they are apparently going to continue being on TV. So, if I had to hear from those that are a part of this divorce, I'd rather hear from the parents, and not have the kids interviewed or talked to about this. As long as the show is running, it can't just be swept in the closet, as if they are still together. If they ignored it, people would not be happy about that either. If they said everything is going well, and there are no changes, and didn't talk about the split and how it affects them, people would say they have no feelings. They are on, it does affect them, and I imagine TLC sees an audience for this, with 50% going through or already divorced. Just please don't let them talk to the kids about how they feel.

You are right, they made the decision to split and it is now part of the show. I have no doubt the kids are hurting over this and wish it didn't happen. But it did.

For those of you who can't do the link, it says that Jon's lawyer filed a petition with the court to drop him as a client. Here, it's highly unusual for a lawyer to drop a client unless they're in a conflict of interest position that they can't get out of.

It could just mean that Jon has retained another attorney instead. The first attorney would still have to file a petition with the court to withdraw.

You're right. Radaronline.com has an article saying Jon changed lawyers. His new lawyer is Mark J. Heller.

I didn't watch the whole alleged suicide thing, so I don't have any idea how this was set up. Does this source say Jon wanted her to speak out? Did this person decide it was time to step out on her own... for her own 15 minutes of fame?

Those women on the "View" need to get Jon on the show to tell his side of the story. It seems like no one is guiding Jon on what to and not to say. He is a loose cannon. I do hope he gets shared custody as I think he really loves his kids just as much as Kate. Don't forget, TLC is on Kate's team and they are doing all they can to keep her in the limelight in a favorable fashion. Not so for Jon!!!

The nurse said that people in the town have gotten to the point that if they see Kate they don't say hello or ask to help her because she acts like everything should be given to her no matter who you happen to be.
I can't verify this story other than to offer it.

Lets face it--Kate is not a people person--never was and never will be. She always felt "threatened" by the fans and didn't want them near her children--but its ok for the paps to snap pictures. The only real family those kids have is their film crew and that is very sad!!!!

Jon already had his interview and it didn't do him any good. I think the best thing for Jon is to stay in his NYC apartment (not bar hopping), be with his kids, and to not talk to the media. Honestly, Jon played his hand bad in this divorce. If he was smart, he would have been a lot more discreet and everyone would be on his side. Instead, he tried to live like a 20 year old instead of a father of 8.

Isn't this the mother of Stephanie? She says she's just saying what her daughter told her (why oh why would a mother do this..money, perhaps?). I wonder if we'll see Stephanie babysitting any longer. Jon sure has a strange choice of people around him.

I just had a tweet about the story -- yes, it's Stephanie's mom and she's mad that Stephanie was fired. hmmmm. I think this is another case where Jon does plenty to screw up on his own, but this may not be one of those times.

My friend also predicted that for future shows for J & K plus 8 will be attending a Taylor Swift concert (probably front row seats and backstage passes) and David Beckham giving a soccer lesson at the house in PA. Time will tell.

Your friend definitely does not have ESP. Attending a concert Taylor Swift concert maybe, but Posh and Bex hang with royals over in England. David Beckham is the demi-god of soccer pretty much everywhere but the US. He might kick a few with the President's kids, though.

The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” dad got off to a bad start before he was even off the red carpet, when he was overheard asking reporters to “please write something nice about me.”

That request might have been possible to fulfill if Gosselin didn’t proceed to behave in egregiously attention-seeking ways.

Exhibit A: Gosselin, when not lighting a cigarette for any female within lighter’s reach, loudly discussed his dislike of celebrities’ egos.

“I hate when celebrities make a big deal of themselves,” he said. “When I talk to Diddy, I'm just like ‘Hey Sean, no big deal.’”

Exhibit B: Gosselin, who’s been known to head out on the town with a paparazzo as his plus-one, saw to it that he posed for many photos as possible with “fans.”

One woman in particular was taking a picture in his general vicinity when someone from Gosselin’s entourage approached, saying, “It looks like you might want a picture of Jon. He’s happy to do it. Come over to him and have your picture taken.”

Well, that makes more sense. Sounds like the mother is just getting revenge for her daughter and making some money while she's at it.

But IMO, anybody who doesn't want their private life delved into shouldn't hang with a Gosselin. If you play with fire you get burned.

Kate is certainly appearing to be coming out the better for this. If it's because TLC is showing her softer side, or because the 9th kid moved out, or just because she can relax now, I'm enjoying the show more (and others are saying they are), the kids have the best of times with both (not that a divorce is ever good, but if 50% are doing it, I'm sure thee kids can get through it too), and while Jon says he doesn't want to be in the public eye, he seems to keep doing stuff that puts him there. I don't belive for a NY minute he ever wanted to be out of the public eye. I think he just didn't want to be discussed, in the places he was in.You are right, he'll do better without interviews/media.

Sadly, I've never heard or read anything about Kate being nice to regular people.

I have. I guess it depends on where you read. One of the times was when a couple of the nurses posted about their trip to St Jude. Another was people who posted after the garage sale, and believe it or not (you can get the positive sites from google..I'll not give them out, since they are positive sites..once you post them, there are people who want to just post the bad stuff and they end up closed) there are people who have been to the church talks who did and do like her. Although they have now asked people not to talk about the situation, even people in her own church have had nice things to say about her.

It's all about where you read/look.

But it really doesn't matter. If you don't like her you don't. I purposely went looking for positive things about both of them, and found them. I also belong to a large internet church group and she has been at some of their churches, and she was well rec'd and the talk went well. Even then, I think it depends on if you like/d her or not.

I certainly respect your opinions about Kate, Doris. I always have. I know you spend time reading other JK8 -support blogs, and I'm sure they're thrilled with the direction things are going for Kate. It sounds like you're really enjoying the new episodes. As you say, someone connected to the show is making smart decisions.

But that's not the only opinion out there. I'm not talking about the anti-blogs, either. For example, I spoke to someone today who watched The View... I asked her what she thought of Kate's hair in today's show ... not only did she not know who Kate Gosselin is, she thought she was boring. I've read Gosselin threads on other message boards (again, not hate blogs) where people think Kate is as phony as ever.

I think the opinions about Kate are as strong as ever. For both sides. LOL!
