Jon and Kate Plus 8 Official Thread - Part 6

My guess is that last Sunday Kate flew to NY with her bodyguard(s) to prepare for the "View". She spent Monday & Tuesday doing the "View and they must of asked her to return for Friday's show which is probably taped on Thursday. Rather than go home to her family in crisis over the dogs, she chooses to stay in NY and let Jon handle the problem.
We all know Jon's way of handling the problem--speak first--think later!!! How selfish J & K are to benefit themselves. When they showed the video of the kids saying goodbye to their pets, you could see an adult woman in the house in the background. Probably just another nanny or caretaker as usual. The kids are probably worried that they are the next to go!!!

Mousey I have to say without your post this thread would not be the same. Are you related to the family in any way?

BTW if Kate came home early she would not be allowed to see the children until it was her turn. Jon locks her out when they need her. She is left standing at the gate as they cry for her on the phone.

Those are pretty big dogs. I think it must be hard for her to crate them, (and control them), which is what I assume they do when they all leave the house, since they are still pretty young. I haven't seen a kennel on the property, I guess they could have built one with heat. Maybe up until now she/he did have someone taking care of them, but with winter coming and the kids in school, things change. Anyone in the area want a job of walking two huge dogs, night and day as needed, keeping the poo cleaned up? If you do, you can keep us up on things LOL.
Maybe the kids aren't paying any attention to them, and they were just there, and are better off with the trainer. Who knows. I'm sure we don't at this time. It was a decision they should have made together, and solved together. I'm sure we'll hear more about this. I wonder if all of the normal decisions that happen in a divorce are going to be shared, taped and aired by the paps.

They are big dogs and no doubt add to an endless amount of chores as it is. But if you want something bad enough there is a solution in most cases. Jon and Kate could both come up with a way to allow the kids to keep the dogs, for now at the very least.

I have stood up for Kate a great deal as of late but not on this dog issue. I realize that we have not heard her "side" of things but whatever her reason now is not the time, it is beyond selfish to get rid of the dogs right now.

Yes, Jon is the one that wanted and pushed for dogs and she may have agreed just to make him happy. However, the dogs are there now and you are not only hurting Jon by making them leave you also hurt the kids. Kids that have plenty of hurt and drama going on without adding to it. And why now? I would have expected this more 3 months ago. Was it to hurt Jon because he introduced or wants to introduce the kids to Hailey?

For Jon to use the media to try to get back at Kate over the dogs is just as bad, the video was not necessary and only further hurt the children.

Quite an early Christmas present, LOL.

That's when he said things had gotten "bad" as well...

If Kate gets a show (even if it features the children on occasion) then she won't have the excuse of needing to continue filming the kids on TLC to support them. I probably won't be watching the new show, but Kate's fans will.

I don't know what Kate would talk about on a show like that. The twins are getting into the "akward years" of becoming a teenager and Jon may have something in the divorce that she can't speak about him any more (and Kate may ask for the same)...could be pretty boring for Kate if she can't talk about anything but herself. I'd think she'd win more hearts with cute kids stories or something like that.

what I got from this article is that they lawyer isn't denying it happened but rather saying that Stephanie has no business to discuss it since she signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Is this Stephanie's way to "talking" if she signed the agreement like Jon used Kevin and Jodi to speak out previously?

I think the full custody issue might be a big part of this -- if Kate expects to get it, then the dogs would be her responsibility most of the time, not half of the time. She's looking ahead, I think, and putting everything the way she wants it to be post-Jon.

Please don't blow my cover. I'm 22 and have visited the Gosselin garage! Not!! I hope you enjoy my posts though!

I got the impression that Kate was suppose to be home on Tuesday and stayed because they asked her to do the "View" which I thought taped on Thursday for Friday so I just figured he was ticked that she stayed an extra day. He mentions something when they question him about getting rid of the dogs, like Kate isn't here, she is doing the view or whatever.

I have read on Rosie O'Donnell's blog that Friday episodes are taped on Wednesday. So she probably stayed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

I've seen at least one mention that Kate is filming tomorrow's show today. (Thursday)

With that said, I've heard them mention over the years filming extra shows on any of the week days .. I don't know if they have a set schedule.

But Kate always says that everything that she does is for her kids. If that really is true, shouldn't it be about what is best for her children (clearly they loved the dogs) and not about what she wants?

I know Letterman tapes 2 shows on Thursday for the Friday episode. According to the ticket policy on the "View" they tape Monday-Thursday from 11am to 12pm and an additional show during the week for Friday.

My daughter always wants to see the "view" not because she likes the people on it, but they give away a lot of different goodies. Especially around the Christmas season.

I know Dr. Phil is too cheap to give anything good away except his "books", but did the "View" give out a Taylor Swift CD when she was on the other day? Gee with that celebrity co star Kate Gosselin, they could of given out "Multiple Blessings". They are going on Amazon's used sight for one cent.

I thought Jon said that Kate had come home early from Utah - that was in January - and when he arrived home he knew he was done. It was soon after that Jon was away from the show - "spending time helping his mother" was the reason given - and then the first photos of him out at bars began appearing in the tabloids. Kate may have a different answer though. I think with many breakups like this some realize over a period of months and some wake up one morning and announce they're done. So I'm not too surprised that we have very non-answer answers from both of them.

Maybe the dogs nipped at one of the kids, caregivers, crew or someone else and this is the "nicest" way to get the dogs out of the situation without blabbing to the media that they nipped? What if this is the agreement they came to with the Humane Society when they came out? There are lots of possibilities. (not directly at the post I quoted....just in general) Maybe at this point it's not about wanting or not wanting to keep the dogs - maybe they're just not able to. I could see Kate and Jon agreeing to build a nice, large fenced area on part of the property so they could be out when whoever's there is home and wants them out and penned up (I'm thinking big in my head -like the size of their garage or something bigger like that) with their food and water and dog houses and such. If they built it near the woods, that would help provide shade and protection from the elements. That's why I'm leaning towards this not really being a decision about keeping or not keeping the dogs but more of a "we need to do something right now" option....

I think the dog situation could be solved if J & K can find a pet food facility to donate food for the dogs for their entire life, a vet to provide free services for their entire life and a groomer to provide services for their entire life, Kate might change her mind and let the dogs stay. That's only if people also send gift cards for PetSmart or Petco so they can buy toys for the dogs and they don't have to chew up the kids toys.
Seriously, these dogs are never coming back--who are they trying to kid that they are working something out with the breeder!!!

That's always been my take on it - who really knows though? The move out to the garage (before official separation) has never been confirmed by them from any reading I've done. Just talked about on blogs. We may have to wait for the books to come out before we know when that took place

Back to the dogs:
There may be more to this than just the have dogs/not have dogs issue. I had come across some pictures yesterday of Maddy playing with the dogs when she was supposed to be filming ie. she just walked away from the cameras -- sorry, couldn't find them again today -- and they must have been fairly recent since the dogs looked pretty much the same as they do now.

And then I found this:

which in and of itself is not surprising, what with the divorce bickering and all. But if you add this to Maddie walking off the set that day, and Jon allowing Maddie to go shopping with his mother instead of filming...

My conclusion is that the kids, Maddie anyway, are rebelling against the cameras and I don't think Jon is going to force them to film (especially if Kate wants him to).

Does Kate have an Advisor/Therapist that she consults with to help her on a daily basis....she seems to constantly have so much to deal with DAILY.

I really do not know how she sleeps at night....her life seems to be in so much turmoil. I would be a physical and emotional wreck if this was my life.

Anybody know the actual spelling?
