These new articles really bothered me. I hated the comments from Jon's friends that said something along the lines that Jon is finally able to live his life the way he wants or that he is beginning to be himself again.

I just can't understand why Jon can't see that he has 8 kids that he should be putting ahead of his new life or desires. It just makes me so sick.

It makes me sick too. I can't stand to even look at him anymore.

Ok I have to say the People article was just creepy. I skimmed through most of it but stopped when I got to the last page just above the big red box. This almost made me want to vomit:

"After reporters flocked to her parents house while Jon Gosselin was staying there, "my parents sent me to my grandma's to get away", Hailey recalls. "At midnight he drove all the way there, a three hour drive. He woke me up with a kiss on my forehead. He's one of the sweetest guys I've ever met."

Alright....so you drive three hours to your *friend's* grandma's house in the middle of the night, break in (I'm assuming he didn't have a key and most people lock their houses at night), sneak into a girl's room (I'm guessing after looking in several others unless you were familiar with the house and where she'd be) and wake her with a kiss on the forehead????? I so need the vomit smiley! What if the poor grandma would have shot him thinking someone was breaking in?? Now that would have been funny! "Jon Gosselin shot while breaking into old lady's house" nice.....

I skimmed through the other articles but honestly there are so many and most if it's the same facts in a different order.

madge - are you able to keep any kind of time line in any of this madness??? When did they get back to the states??? Wasn't it like Tuesday? But the one article said they'd been in the Hamptons for three days?? Then he was at the TLC photo shoot and in the park with Hailey...something's just not lining up here with everything.

I also think it's terribly sad that Kate was quoted saying something about not having many people to call on and feeling alone. I'm sure a lot of "famous" people have that problem - everyone's out for their dirt to get their fame and money. I hope there are a couple of people she can trust that she's close with....

News flash: The adolescent years are OVER!

Dr. Michelle Golland: Every time I see Jon Gosselin standing next to a 20-something girl drinking a beer and lighting up a cigarette, I want to thump him on the head and say, "What are you doing? Grow up!"

So far, he has not risen to this very challenging time regarding himself and his family. As a relationship expert, I really believe that Jon and Kate could have worked out their issues if they had taken a long, hard look at themselves and been willing to change the things within each of them that contributed to the demise of their marriage. It appears they chose to not do that at all. I believe they never even tried marriage therapy, but simply decided to exit the relationship.

As I have said before, their children will ask each of them how hard they tried to fix what was going wrong; however, for better or worse, these kids will have many hours of footage to prove the lack of maturity, grace, and dignity both their parents have displayed along this very bumpy road.

It was obvious to me that Jon's exit from his controlling wife was clearly the act of a man caught in an adolescent rebellion revisited in his 30s. My greatest hope for him was that he would be able to pull out of this dark time with a new desire to be a stronger, more mature, and more defined man. So every time I see him smoking with his Ed Hardy hat on backwards, it makes me feel two things: I feel sad for him that he is unable to see his need for self-reflection and appears just as lost as he did in his marriage; and I feel annoyed at his lack of self-control at this time to be on his own and not defined in some way by a woman in his life.

So here is my advice to Jon:

1) Stop dating women who are in their own late-adolescent stage of life. Actually, just stop dating, at least for the summer;
2) Find a good therapist and do the personal work you truly need to live a better life and be the man you truly could be and the father you aspire to be;
3) You can start dating after you have completed step #2;
4) Stop smoking! Your kids are watching you and it is just gross;
5) With all the money you have, hire a stylist and get a better look, because the advice from your young girlfriends simply looks silly. This change may also help you date a woman who is more mature as well; and
6) Finally, take a step back for more than a minute and actually THINK about what you are doing and the fact that you have young children. You are a father. Act like one.

Apparently Kate and the kids are at the Jonas Brothers concert today!! I got a tweet from a Jonas source that Kate and the kids were there!!

I agree, this People Mag. article made we want to retch! Jon's friend's comments were just plain ridiculous...."He doesn't want to abandon Kate but he's looking forward to putting the past behind him, he's doing what anyone else would be doing, trying to get himself going in the right direction." Wow, that's crazy to me.

Hailey certainly is getting her 15 minutes isn't she? She claims Jon was nursing a broken heart in May at her parent's house. Um, wasn't that the time he was with Deanna and the whole scandal had broken (end of April)? So he's broken hearted about Kate yet he's dating Deanna. That sounds like a man who loves his wife and wants to make his marriage work. Seriously, that whole article made me ill and it's like we all keep saying, it's getting crazier and crazier. The part where she described Jon coming to her Grandma's to wake her with a kiss was ridiculous. Was that before or after Kate filed for divorce. Sounds like it was before if she was sent to her Grandma's because Jon was staying at her parent's house and reporters were bothering him there. It's all just so flipping bizarre. But it's ok because Jon is finally getting to be 'just Jon' (let's call him JJ!) and Hailey is in love.

I wonder if it is more TLC hired them because they know Jon can't manage things on his own now that Kate is not there to take care of him.

I'm new to posting here, but have enjoyed lurking on this thread.

One thing I've wondered. I know Jon wants off the show. But Jon also seems to love spending the money the show has made him. If he quits the show, where's he going to continue to get the money to keep up this lifestyle. I guess he may have invested well, and his money will continue to make money. But, in this economy and given that they haven't been rich for that many years, I'm not sure that is the case.

I realize noone else knows the answer, but just wondered what people's thoughts on this were.

I make about half of my income from trading stocks, but I have a master in Econ -- but the last year I've pretty much just broken even. Having said that, if I had the kind of money he had (let's say $1 mil), I'd have made at least $100,000 in profits -- that might be enough to support his lifestyle, once you add in all the freebies.

Back to the article from Star magazine that says one of their own is now dating Jon adn that they went out to dinner with Lindsay Lohen's Dad. What's to keep Jon away from Lindsay?

The kids don't get paid diddly. To get paid would mean they were working. They are just "playing" and are being filmed doing it (the parents are paid for the "inconvience of the cameras in the home) yeah right. I'm sure the 9 hour photo shoot under hot lights (and probably limited water to drink was a ball.

sorry, I can't talk about Jon anymore...

I was reading somewhere else about how most shows require the kids to do things over again if it doesn't look right for the show, eg. bad camera angle, wind was louder than the sound, kids didn't stay in the frame, and that this is even more common at things like birthday parties where there are a lot of non-Gosselins running around and ruining the filming. But the kids are supposed to just pretend they didn't just do something, and do it over again until they get it right.

I don't know about you, but I would tend to call that "acting" and I don't think all those photo shoots they do could be considered family portraits -- definitely modeling, especially if they're showing off free clothes.
