Jon and Kate Plus 8 official Thread, Part 2!!

I would prefer to think the best instead of the worst. Since know of us now what really went on behind the scenes. There are three sides to the truth yours, mine and what really happend. Maybe Beth got tired of the spotlight, that is why she is no longer involved in the show. We will never know what happend of why.

I think that may very well be the difference between the starkly different POVs. The GWoPpos remind of, say, Perez Hilton or some other trashy/gossip-based internet rag. They want stuff that will get their hits up, and that's usually the negative. No one wants to read about a happy, successful family. They want the dirt.

I have to say I am kind of sick of watching J&K8. I use to like it when they showed more of their home life and how they deal with day to day. I also liked to see a father working to provide for his family. Now the show seems to be turning into what vacation will we be going to this week. Does anyone work anymore? I think there has been a change in them in this past season and I am just sick of it. I also have never liked the fighting between J&K but I liked the kids. I just am seeing a huge change and not caring for it anymore but just my opinion.

I did like the new show twins, twins and sextuplets. I thought that was interesting especially since one of the 6 has CP. I also have been watching the duggers. I just find it interesting on how a family can do it with 18 kids.

But that is coming from Jodi. It's only one side of the story. Of course her sister is going to try to make her look like the innocent victim in all of this.

Jon and Kate put a message on their website that said none of that stuff was true. So should we believe them just because it's on a website?

I think highly of Beth for not dragging Jon and Kate through the dirt. She's not on the show anymore and that's the end of it. No need to post things about how crazy and self centered Kate is. I would love to know why we don't see her anymore, but we don't even know if Beth and Kate have even parted ways. For all we know, they could still be spending every Sunday together.

Beth is the co author of the book they just released. Suppposedly her husband didn't want thier property or his wife and children on the show anymore without compensation.

You can't ever tell what's true specially on the web. I just watch the show and enjoy the moment, without analyzing the hidden context.

I admit it. I like the dirt.

I like reading the back story - honestly, that's what drew me to the show in the first place. I'm a member of a Gymboree forum and noticed a thread about JK8 and got sucked right into watching the show. I've said in more than once, I find the whole thing extremely fascinating. And if it turns out that Jon & Kate really are as wonderful as all that, and the drama that has followed them all these months turns out to be a load of crap? Then so be it.

One thing that I've always wondered about, though. Even if all the naysayers about Jon & Kate turn out to be full of it.... when people thought Penn Mommy was telling the truth ... where are the supporters of Jon & Kate? I'm sure that the National Enquirer would pay for any stories they can get about them But seriously, where is the positive spin on the Gosselins? It's just a hypothetical question, though ... I know what the answer will be. LOL

Why wasn't any of J&K's parents at their vow renewal? or bros and sis???? are they not getting along iwth ANY of those people...it was all relatives they had not seen in years or ever.

the show was a big commercial for the Grand Wailea but I still enjoyed it.

I agree. I thought it was a bit odd that no one besides Jon's Hawaiian family was there. Maybe TLC wouldn't pay for any of them to go. And like the rest of us they just couldn't afford to get there. But you would think at least their parents would be there.

I had hoped that his grandmother would be there but didn't expect any of the rest of the family. Jon has pretty much said they are on good terms wiht his mother but she isn't interested in being on the show and isn't a "hands on" grandmother. We know there is a huge rift between Kate and her parents, and now the rift with Kevin and Jodi.




Not related to the wedding but I wonder if Kate still speaks to the plastic surgeon and his wife. Kate and the wife really did seem to hit it off and they mentioned trying to get together once a yr.

Jon's father is dead. I thought he had a good relationship with his mother and grandmother .. so that is a little strange that they wouldn't be there. Kate is reportedly estranged from much of her family.

As for the rest of the family, maybe TLC wasn't going to foot the bill for Kate's immediate family to vacation in Hawaii. Maybe they had to pay their own way and couldn't afford it. Maybe they were there and didn't appear on camera.

You just don't know how something is framed for television.

I would think that the PR people would take advantage of any family member present they could. The closer, the better.

It's been said by Kate herself that they don't have much of a relationship with her side of the family. I don't think anyone is surprised by their absence.

Oh! I forgot. Was Aunt Nadine the 90 year old aunt?? Didn't Jon go golfing with Aunt Nadine's boyfriend? Neither of the men he was golfing with looked anywhere near 90! If so, Aunt Nadine knows how to work it!

They impress me too. I think you are right she should give them tips.

She seems like mighty women to me. I am just amazed by getting pregnant and delivering 18 children. They have been blessed that nothing went wrong with any of the pregnancies or births. It just is a blessing!!

well, that's true.

but Jon & Kate's relationship with their extended family has been the focus of many questions for a long time. As a PR person, if you've got some of these people (mom, grandmother .. the immediate extended family) at an event, wouldn't you make a effort to get them on camera?

another one of those things (like pretty much everything else) we'll never know. LOL.
