they don't now. they did before, IMO.
I still believe the basis for this particular episode was a direct result of blog research ... which is damage control in my book.
I just don't get the point of calling them out for doing good. Maybe their good deeds are now publicized as a result of the cries of the masses, but they're good deeds none the less. Why try to make it less than what it is? Does anyone really do completely selfless, altruistic deeds? You'd never know, I suppose, because that person would never tell you.
Even in those cases, though, people get a good feeling when they give, so that's a little gain.
It's unfortunate, really, that Figure8/TLC/PR firm chose to focus on donating to charity for the "damage control" episode. Because it is good that they made this donation. It's just too easy for the naysayers to jump all over it, though.
at the beginning about the poor turnout at first, and she said a few times that the sale "wasn't well-advertised" or something. Who advertised it?
I thought maybe it was a church-wide yard sale but it seemed like it was just the Gosselins. So was someone supposed to be advertising it for them? Also the signs with the spelling mistake
who ordered/picked them up and didn't notice the mistake?
