Maybe the others don't want to sit in a hot ballpark to watch a game? Just a thought....

I can see it now...

Jon is a horrid father for dragging his kids to a hot ballpark!!

and/or

Jon is a horrid father for not taking all of his kids to the ballpark!!

:rotfl:

I don't think he's horrid for not taking them all - not without knowing why. ;)

and there doesn't seem to be a counter-episode where the girls and Mady have their own special event. that's what seems so weird to me.

Maybe Kate had no interest in sitting through a long, hot (and dare I say boring) baseball game and generously offered to stay home with the little girls and Mady (who probably felt the same way) while Jon took the little boys and Cara.

Or maybe I'm the only one who thinks Philly games are long, hot and boring (and yes, I've sat through some with my friend and her family.) :)

And there shouldn't have to be either. IMO it is a life lesson that not everything is fair/even. The sooner kids learn this the better of they will be.

Does there really have to be an explanation for every, single thing that they do? I do not find it strange in the least that Jon would just take the boys and Cara to a game. It has been stated over and over on the show that Cara shares alot of the same interests as Jon. Who cares if there isn't a show with Kate taking the other four off to do something. In my family, we don't keep a scorecard that way.

I really doubt it....people just don't jump on Jon like they do Kate

I agree. But, that's unusual for a show that filmed each child getting their own day... I don't disagree with the idea that only some of the kids go to the game. I think it would be a nice change for them to take only the ones that are interested. And that may be what the reason is. And if it is, I'll certainly come back and admit that I misjudged. I just think that it's out of character in the production of the show. They've all gone on the outings together to this point.... or they had a special individual day. That's all I'm saying.

As for Kate being bored? Maybe someone wised up after the cupcake episode ;)

Jon is only 31? Didn't they go to Key West like 2 years ago for his 30th birthday? Or Maybe he's almost 32. I always forget how young Jon and Kate are for having that many kids!

I also agree, the cameras should stay out of school. It's not fair to the other kids. I would imagine they would have gotten signed releases from all the other kids' parents or put the big blurry dot over their faces.

I just watched an episode where Jon was at home with the kids while Kate was at a conference for a couple of days. I have admired Kate's organizational skills. After she came home during the "interview" portion of the show Jon made a statement to the effect that Kate does the work and I entertain the kids. He mentioned how difficult it is mentally to handle all the children by yourself.

I do love this show.

The day my husband relizes this we will get along A LOT better! Granted we only have 4 kids, but they are still a lot of work!

What, no comments about preschool?? You guys are slacking!

I immediately noticed that they were not dressed the same at PreK!

They are so cute!

I noticed that too.

How about Joel riding with no training wheels!!! GO JOEL!!! :cool1: That is pretty amazing for any 4 year old, let alone a preemie!!

I thought it was interesting that they only showed the 6 of them in the classroom, which probably settled any problems with other kids being on camera (parental consent, legal issues, etc.) Jon said they were 1/3 of the class, so there must have been 12 other kids. Unless it was a special shoot over the weekend (or something).

I thought the same thing! I'm sure Kate wants them dressed in clothes that can get dirty (paint, playground, etc) at school, I know I did that with my kids. I never sent them in their good clothes.

I hope that's the last we see of the school. That needs to be a safe place. Not just for the Gosselin kids, but for the teachers and other students/families.

Anything else? nah. It's all predictible now. And while I like the color, Kate's hair is sort of goofy looking with it so much longer in the front. It's like they can't decide what to do with it. LOL.

Did anyone else notice that they said their preschool is over an hour away? That seems a bit odd to me. IMHO, I would want my kids to try to go to a preschool nearby, so they can hopefully meet kids that will be in their kindergarten.

But I guess if they are moving that probably wouldn't be an issue anyway.

They also seemed to make it a point to show they were getting a shower but not showing us!

Maybe it was the way they edit the show, but I don't remember Hannah being such a handful before?

I wouldn't want to drive that far, but they liked the preschool and different people have different priorities. I drive 40 miles past a whole bunch of other churches to get to the one that we like to go too.

Kindergarten kids make friends easily, I wouldn't worry about not having friends on the first day. Neither one of my girls knew any kids in their class on day one, but by day two they had a ton of friends.

Hannah always seemed to have a little attitude to me.

It's at their church. I recognized that big plastic couch and the hallway cubbies. It's the teacher in me. I want some of those cubbies with the little bench!!

I thought I saw a little blonde head of hair in one of the first shots. Definitely not a Gosselin. Maybe I didn't...:confused3

That's exciting about the training wheels! DS is 3, and I can hardly get him to steer straight on his tricycle! He's too busy looking around to actually drive. :rotfl:
