I can't bring myself to believe that would be true. Asking for 7 figures?
That seems a little extreme.

At the time that this would have happened, were Jon and Kate even paid that much?! (I really don't know what their market value is)

It was over the summer, so it is very likely they had just finished negotiating this season's contract. It is one of TLC's top rated shows, so the Gosselins could very well be making $$$. Also, I wouldn't be surpised if Jon, Kate, and each child are paid a separate "salary". If each one makes $100,000, that's $1,000,000 for the 10 of them.

However, I don't think Jodi asked for that much money. Maybe she did.

But you can bring yourself to believe that Kate would alienate her entire family over money? That's a little extreme, too.

I highly doubt any of us know both of them personally. Jodi seems like sweetness and sunshine on tv, but she could be a gold digger. You never know.

I'm not saying I believe the comment, but it's not as black and white (or good vs evil) as a lot of people like to think it is. Like it's been said, there are three sides to every story. In this case, Jodi's, Kate's (though not really Kate, as she hasn't aired this laundry to the public) and the truth.

Not that I care but the comment was made by someone named Thalia. Doesn't Beth Carson have a daughter named Thalia or am I thinking of someone else.

Last night's episode was really hard to watch. Everything seems staged now. I used to love to sit down with my kids and watch it when they seemed "normal" now they have special things waiting for them wherever they go and it's just not fun to watch anymore.

I agree with this.

I was thinking the same thing, but Beth's daughter is 9.

If she wrote that, she's a very bright 3rd grader!! :lmao:

I was a little bugged by the "she took one for the team" comment.

Really? I thought that was a totally appropriate comment from a 12 year old boy. He is equating it with sports. He seemed sad when he said it and I think he seemed like he had a bond with his sister. He said something to the fact that all of the little ones could have had problems but she got them all.
:guilty:

Some where my sister told me she read that Jon and Kate get $65,000 per episode, of course I have no idea to the validity of that and I have no clue where she read it.

I think the saddest thing about the whole Jodi issue is that the kids don't get to see her. Hopefully "in real life" they still get to see their aunt, uncle and cousins. They all seemed to always have fun together and I remember Maddy having a special bond with Jodi's little boy Ben (?). I know I grew up with my cousins and if we lost touch at that age it would have been very hard to deal with.

If the Hayes are from NJ (pp said she knew them is from NJ) cops around here do pretty good. Enough to support a family of 10 kids? That I don't know. But the ones in our town make close to 6 figures or a little above.

LOL Yep I got the message loud and clear. Oops. I thought that was Mady. But either way I thought the comment was mean.

Does anyone know what ever hapened to Beth???!!!!!!!

The IP address is registered to a user in Illinois. I followed up on that one. I had a comment one time, from someone who said things that led me to believe they might know the Gosselins in some way. The IP was registered to Comcast in Pennsylvania, but I could never narrow it down any further than that without paying money. LOL.

and TLC bills themselves as Life: Unscripted. Riiiiight. :rotfl:

I thought so, too. I was touched by what he said. Like he was aware how lucky the rest of the kids are.

I heard the mom say the same thing on Good Morning America the other day, so I'm sure that's where the kids hear it from. I think it's a weird and creepy thing to say, but to each their own!

I thought the girl said it on the show last night, but honestly I was only half watching because I thought it was a little boring.

they've also appeared on GMA and last night, the dad mentioned being contacted by numerous other talk shows.

I thought it was weird how J&K kept saying they were renewing their vows for the kids, or what not. Yet, a 4 year old has no idea what that means, nor did they sit still to watch their parents at the wedding. I just thought they should have waited til the kids were a little older to actually appreciate it. I really don't think it was J&K's idea to renew their vows, just more money for TLC and for them. Think about it, the dress show, the 4 episode wedding series...Families can't even relate to them anymore! Those kids have been on more trips than I have in my whole life!

I also loved how Jon mentioned(and kinda freaked out) when Kate said they were going to be together for the next 90 years.:rotfl: He mentioned twice!

I do love watching that show, the kids are too cute and the things they say say crack me up. I def. do not watch it for kate.

I agree. I thought his answer was age appropriate. He is just trying to make sense of it in his terms. I have to 2 special needs children and was not offended by his explanation. Now the mom, I can see how people would be bothered by her calling the little girl a "chore". I think a better way of putting it is responsibility, maybe? I don't know.:confused3 That is a tough one.

Maybe because I heard the mother say it first is why I think it was so odd.....but that's just my opinion.
