Joining the May 2-9 "ADR's made" club!

I'm jumping on this post with my ressies since I'll be there similar times too.
(may 2 to 10)

I had the hardest time deciding where to eat this time.
We went back in 2004 and had the silver plan which I believe gave you two meals a day. We ate all over and really didn't enjoy a lot of it.
All 5 of us are very basic food eaters and don't enjoy fancy things.
So that makes it hard to find stuff we like.

All my dinners are between 6:00 and 8:00 I varied the times depending on park hours etc.

So far I have
5/3 Mama Melrose dinner

5/4 Crystal Palace - breakfast
The Plaza restaurant - Dinner

5/5 Rainforest Cafe - Dinner

5/6 Teppan Edo - Dinner

5/7 (NOTHING YET)

5/8 1900 Park Fare - Dinner

5/9 T-rex - Dinner


Other than the one crystal palace breakfast I booked I figured we would be fine with either meals in our room (family suite with fridge and microwave) or the foodcourt.

Same with lunches. We can bring along snacks and then if someone is really hungry we can grab a snack etc.

So I just worried about dinners.

I am still open on the 7th.. I had wanted Bongos Cuba Cafe in downtown disney but they don't do reservations. They said you call the day of and can only get priority seating.. So I am going to pick somewhere else instead, but haven't decided where yet.

Oh I need to vent!! Just called Disney Dining Twice to make some more of my ADR's (made a bunch Saturday, so should have been able to make another two days worth today). Got a cast member who didnt understand the +10 days rule. No problem, called back . . . and got another one!!!! Arghhh!! Why can't they all be trained the same?!!!!!! So frustrating!!!

We had the same problem last year with Bongos. In the end we booked House of Blues instead and had a fantastic meal!!

Got up at 4am on Saturday to make my ADRs, and all but one were available first choice. Had to move around Le Cellier of course! Booked solid for dinner on May 2nd for tables of two. So I flipped some days around. Here's our end result for our Deluxe Dining Plan plan:

I made my ADRs for my early May trip also! We are going to be there the 2nd-6th.

May 2nd (hoping for an ADR at Sanaa- can't make it until the 16th)
May 3rd- The Wave 5:30
May 4th- Ohana- 6:40
May 5th- Le Cellier- 5:25 (the only day of our trip that we could get a dinner ADR!)
May 6th Kona- 8:15

I hope to see some of you all at the parks!

May 3-10 here. We are a party of 7. Me, DH, DS9, DS7, DS4, my parents.
Called around 9 and got what I wanted.

Sun 5/3 Coral Reef Dinner 5:20 but had to split in 2 tables
Mon 5/4 Chef Mickey Breakfast 7:20
Tues 5/5 Planet Hollywood dinner 7:15 (2 tables)
Wed 5/6 Sci Fi cafe Lunch (also 2 tables)
Thur 5/7 Le Cellier Lunch 11:30
Fri 5/8 ?? Want lunch at Plaza but no opening right now will find some where else or keep trying for cancelations
Fri 5/9 Mama Melrose lunch 12:15

Still have 3 TS to book but just don't know what to choose. If we just do one per day need one more for DHS and MK. Was thinking of doing Planet Hollywood one night but we have to split again.

ChrisMouse - We have ressies at 8:05 am at Crystal Palace also! What day are you going? We will be there Friday morning. That was a last minute decision for me. I really wanted to see the park empty.

Question about Le Cellier. The only ressie I could get for my family of 5 was a 2 + 4. So we will have 2 tables. Has anyone done this before? I am hoping we will be next to each other and maybe be able to push the tables together. I will also keep calling to see if we can switch it to a regular ressise!

Going May 3 to 9 but hoping to talk DH into flying so it may be 2-10. DCousin offered to share her tranquilizers so he will fly. Pending this decision I made a couple of tentative ADRs as well as my hard and fast ADRs. Several phone calls later I have the following booked:

Called on Sunday afternoon, since I woke up Sunday and COMPLETELY FORGOT about having to make ADRs! Got almost everything we wanted, except my daughter's birthday dinner at Chef Mickey's for the 9th (apparently, that's still @ 180 days, and we didn't know it). So we got it for breakfast instead. Here are ours:

My trip is slightly different (Tues-Tues, 5/5-12), but I got everything I wanted, too! It was so easy, even the reservationist was surprised we were done in 10 minutes. The only problem I had was trying to book Chefs de France Wed night (5/6)--she said there no times left that night. So I just switched it with some plans I had on another night, no problem.

I wonder if it has to do with the type of restaurant. We have a party of 7 too, but didn't have to split up for any of our ADR's.

On the 15th Kennedy Space station has a shuttle launch and we were hoping to go visit but we haven't got car hire. Does anyone know of any planned trips we can book?
