Never been a great JD fan - until POTC!!!! He just has me in stitches as Captain Jack!

But I have to agree he looked VERRRRY tasty at the Oscars - I LIKE the long hair at the front bit - kinda sexy! He can look through his hair at ME anytime!!!!!!! :cool2:

I was really disabppointed he didn't win - but I suppose it wasn't a 'serious' enough peice of drama :rolleyes:

I have to say I didn't see the film Sean Penn was in (so memorable I've forgotten the name already!!! :rolleyes:

) but I'm really not a great fan of his - he just seems to play himself - moody, angry, aggressive etc - it really doesn't take a lot of acting talent to play someone who's not a million miles away from yourself. Johnny Depp playing Sparrow showed true talent - he was a great and memorable character!!!

After seeing him at the Oscars I was amazed to discover that he is 41 years old, he looked 25. He could be my Dad, but he looked great very clean cut. He was very sincere and proud to be there and that radiated from him. His role in Pirates was phenomenal and he definatly deserved the nomination. I especially enjoyed the hair that fell over his eyes. pirate:

My DD 11, and I (41) also share a crush on Johnny Depp after seeing POTC. What I wouldn't give to be 14 years old again & plaster my bedroom walls with posters! I don't think my DH would appreciate it though! :rolleyes:

I agree w/OP, he looked splendid last night. He makes me want to reach out & brush his hair out of his eyes though. :smooth:

The interesting thing is that he'll likely have a different look the next time he's seen out. He's always changing.

I'm looking forward to his new movie next week. I just found out that it's based on a Stephen King story!!! :hyper:

I love Johnny Depp! I loved his tux and his girlfriend's
vintage frock. I hated his hair! Sorry, just can't stand that
look. I like him with the beret better, keeps his hair out
of his face so I can see it better.

Oh Yeah! Johnny ALWAYS looks good. I didn't really expect him to win the Oscar, but his time will come. He is a very good actor.
I am also looking forward to his new movie - comes out March 12 - "Secret Window" about an author who is being stalked by a man who accuses him of stealing his story.

momof2inPA, I was thinking the same thing!!! I also saw some pics of the movie that is coming out called Neverland and it seems similar to that style for that movie as well! I do like it though

Olaf, I guess I didn't see anything wrong with him calling her his girlfriend since that is what she is to him.

Nothing wrong with that. My DH and his family calls me his "girlfriend" and we've been together 11 years and have one child together. I consider us married - Texas recognizes common law marriages so why spend the money for a piece of paper?
