Lambertvilles Zora last of two contestants on Joe Dough
LAURA PELNER, Staff Writer February 04, 2003
They finally kissed and now shes a finalist. Lambertvilles Zora Andrich is one of only two women remaining in the competition for "Joe Millionaire."
On last nights show Andrich and Joe, who is played by construction worker Evan Marriott, jetted to a little island off the coast of France. They shared some laughs and some intimacy.
"When Zora lets her guard down we really have a good time together," Marriott said last night before giving her a diamond pendant, a symbol that shes a true finalist.
And it is clear Andrich likes him more and more with each show.
"Hes great in all these ways and then I learn something else about him that I totally love," she said.
But as is characteristic of their relationship thus far, they did have a hard moment during their date. Andrich told him about a dream she had in which Marriott had a different name and a different identity, which is true in real life, and it completely freaked him out.
But it obviously didnt scare Marriott enough to make him ditch Andrich. Throughout the show he talked about their chemistry and the fact that they can have a good time together even without talking.
"Shes kind of mysterious and intriguing and thats kind of sexy," Marriott told the cameras at the end of the show. "She makes me feel like Im a kid again."
As usual, Andrich was her typical classy self. She wasnt greedy, didnt mention Marriotts supposed millions at all.
"I thank goodness Ive made it as far as I have," she said. I feel really fortunate."
Despite prodding from the other women, Andrich did not kiss and tell and she did not get caught up in the cattiness of the other two girls. Her competitors, Melissa and Sarah, made fun of Andrich behind her back and started to think that maybe she is a little conniving, but Andrich never said a negative word about them.
Next weeks episode, the second to last one, pits Andrich against Sarah, the blonde-haired bondage movie star from Los Angeles. Marriott has said he has feelings for both of them and next week hell have to make his final decision. The show airs at 9 p.m. on Fox.
After next week, on Feb. 17, there will be one show left -- the two-hour finale. In this episode Marriott will tell his final lady that hes not really worth $50 million and that the couple has been living a lie.
