I guess Nurmi and Wilmont are trying to set up their appeals, but I don't thinks it's going to work. The judge said they could testify under seal, and still the DT witnesses are not testifying.

After Wilma and Nummy said they would be calling no witnesses, judge asked DT if they client was going to allocute. They asked to approach and then that's when the recess came.

Patty sold pictures to Nancy and declared the income. I remember this happening in CA trial. Baez never claimed the income tax for CA.

This is totally disgusting behavior by the DT ... they didn't get their way so they bail?! ... they should be disbarred ... or held in contempt ... or something ...

It's like they're saying if the judge isn't going to grant them a motion, then they're basically going to overrule HER by doing it in their own way.

I wonder how this affects the jury?

What just happened shouldn't affect them, because they're not there. As far as the DT screwing up the penalty phase, who knows what's going to happen.

Here's what kills me about this latest thing with Patty Womack, and Alyce Laviollette. Nurmi is having a hissy fit about JM attacking the messenger (witnesses), rather than the message, when that IS the way to attack the message. He had to show that Laviollette wasn't competent, for lack of a better word, to evaluate Jodi. And he had to attack the character of Patty Womack. If there wasn't anything to attack, then the DT wouldn't have to worry about it.

How many times have there been an inmate who testifies in court, one way or another, and their credibility is attacked. It DOES matter WHO the person is. Ain't it a ***** that the DT couldn't get better witnesses on Jodi's behalf. Let's see...Jodi BUTCHERED Travis, and now we're having a hard time finding quality people in her life to say what a fabulous person she is? Ya think?

Just rewatched the court footage on HLN ... It looked like Willie wanted to crawl under the table when Nurmi announced he wasn't going to call any witnesses ... Willie definitely looked very uncomfortable ...
