I agree that he's at least nice to the witness, but I feel like the DT asks questions without any idea where they're taking the line of questioning. With JM, I feel like he knows exactly what question he's asking next and the point to the whole chain. When JW and KN talk, I feel like they're making it up as they go along, hoping to get some unexpected answer and pounce on it.

Maybe Nurmi is trying to clear up the stolen ring incident. Maybe he is trying to say that there was never an engagement ring for Jodi to steal since he never intended to marry her????

I remember on HLN they were talking about the ring and that the prosecutor couldn't (or didn't) specify that it was an engagement ring...only that it was Travis' ring.
