Personally, I think converting was one step closer. He wasn't as easy to get in the bedroom kwim, but when he did he was willing for sure.

Oh he was definitely willing once she got him going, but aren't most men? I think you're absolutely right in her conversion was just another method she used to get closer to him and his inner circle, so she could be a part of his whole life.

FWIW, 5 months is what I'm remembering for their length of relationship as well.

Yep. I don't know how quickly he slept with her.... but my guess would be it at least, took a few days. From all the reports he was TRYING to stay true to his religion. Contrary to popular belief, there are actually VIRGINS in this world who wait for marriage (and don't actually try and "get around" the covenant).
I agree, that he was most certainly a willing participant AFTER it started... Just not sure how long that took.

Yeah, but that was part of PPL too and Jodi had been convinced she was gonna be rich with the boys too. These people, uh, nevermind, I'd probably get points for saying what I really think.

The interviews prior to and just after Jodi's arrest prove that, no question about it. Martinez needs to prove this was a premeditated murder, I hope someone produces that gas can and gas purchases receipt and ties them to premeditation although I'm not sure why she'd buy 3 cans of gas in Salt Lake City AFTER killing Travis.

I think she used the gas in the cans the first time to burn evidence in the desert. She filled up in Salt Lake City to support her cheaper gas in Utah story. This could show premeditation.

I think JM is going to prove that the 3rd purchase was for gas. I could be wrong but I going to guess the gas stations have a way to show if she purchased gas or other items on that 3rd debit.

I read on another site that the Tesoro gas station only sells gas from 1:00am-6:00am. Jodi made those three purchases around 4:00 am. So, if their hours were the same as they are now, she is busted.

Only reason I am not on board with the burning thing is the smell. It gets in your hair and your clothes. After my dh or I cook on the grill I can't even eat til I have a shower. My hair smells like the bbq. She went to Utah but Ryan didn't say anything about her smelling like smoke. Do you think its possible the smell had gone away?

Anyway, unless she had found a way to get a shower somewhere between the fire and Ryan's I think she would have still smelled like smokes. And thats burning wood, we don't really know what all she burned and plastic burning smells worse than anything. Those gym pants were nylon looking material, that is like burning plastic smell.

Idk. Just my reasoning behind no fire. I open to possibilities though!

The theory being tossed about elsewhere is that before Hoover Dam and the guard, she pulled into the desert and had a fire. Idk the area so I am not sure if we are talking a well traveled road and she went into the desert or a pretty deserted road. It looks to be a decent size highway though?

Not sure if I can post it here although I don't know why there would be a problem. It is web sleuths dot com no spaces. On their homepage, there is a link that takes you to all the trial threads. There are several over there who post that actually go to the trial everyday. One has become friends with Travis' sisters. She posts her daily notes and her observations about the jury. Pretty cool stuff.

I bet Nurmi is trying to get this recent identity theft case/arrest in to make it look like it was Travis. If so, he is even bigger scum than I thought.

How sad to know that Travis had at least one sibling go down the road that his parents went down. I bet his grandma's heart was broken for that "lost" child. It would explain why he is absent in court.

Who knows how far along the road she traveled, but the part we went on a few weeks ago wasn't exactly desolate. The burning story doesn't seem all that plausible, but what do I know? That stuff never showed up and she could have taken a truck stop shower.
