I was watching HLN last night, and one of the shows the guest lawyers were saying that the gun would probably be easy enough to find if the defense wanted to however, because it probably would hurt their case they are glad the pros couldn't, didn't have the resources or whatever to find it. That most defense attorneys defending for DP, would do anything in their power to find the gun if the client says it wasn't hers, it was his..just there in the house blahblahblahblah to prove it was not premeditation, she didn't bring it so to speak.
I had never thought along those lines before, but found it to be a lightbulb moment. They are right. Now, I kinda feel like her attny's actually think they can get her off. If they were only trying to make sure she got LWOP, they would have done everything in their power to find that gun when JA was having moments of clarity the last 4 years. When the fog lifted as she 'remembers' things. If it helped her, the girl would have gave up the gun already. It wasn't TA's gun. It was her grandfather's. She is too crazy and too intelligent not to know it would be something that could be traced. So far every peice of 'evidence' as been only things SHE can verify. The gas in the cans, why she rented a car, why there are no receipts, blahblah blah.
