ME.
I am sooooo surprised that they were not. This is a HUGE case. The Judge asking them everyday if they saw or heard or read anything and of course everyone is saying NO but my gawd this is the day and age of social media and soooo soooo much stuff is out there everywhere.

They should have been, I think allot them get hounded with questions from people who may know that they are a juror.

I read some comments on that site and it seems people were pulling things from their butts. Somebody said Travis was 8 years older than Jodi and she was 13 or 14 when he first started "raping" her. A lot of crap that holds no candle to the truth.

Can somebody clarify for me, this jury is allowed to go home at the end of the day, correct? Casey Anthony's jury was sequestered, right? On HLN last night, somebody stated that pathological liars live their lies as the truth and that's why so many people believe them. Due to that, CA was found innocent because of lack of evidence. Now, this jury is told not to read or watch or talk about the trial, but really, would anybody know if they did? I'm just hoping for a fair verdict this time around even though it's so simliar to CA trial.

I think the thing with sequestering is that, they have no court on Fridays and many other days. There is also maybe 5 hours of testimony a day.
They would spend so much down time sitting in a hotel room.
They would probably go stir crazy.

I do think that when it goes to the verdict stage they should definitely be sequestered.

When we get there, I think the judge has to go through them as they can not ask questions that have already been answered. That is what I was hearing.

I agree with this. Not only that, but I think I remember from the CA trial commentators saying that juries who are sequestered have a way of bonding (or hating each other?) which can affect the outcome of the trial. I think to some extent that's what happened with the CA jury...the leader types and the non-leader types were established during the course of the trial during the time they were spending together, and I think when the time came, those you voted "guilty" in the first round of voting were too easily willing to look up to the others as having the "correct" verdict or interpretation of how they needed to vote. I think there are studies about issues with being sequestered.
